Great meeting place for a colleague lunch
I didn't find the food over the top but it was good but the drinks were the bomb. Just wow!! Great ambiance, also.
I am blown out of the water by my experience here. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt at home. Bonus points for most of the menu being gluten free but tasting like heaven. Definitely will be back!
Great vibrant spot! Service was excellent!
Exceptional experience! We had items from a new menu just rolled out that day and they did not disappoint. Our waitress was attentive and courtesy. Service from drinks to food was timely. All around staff was great. The ambience is great for a semi casual date, drink with friends, or just a good start to a night out. Will definitely be returning!
OK today this is my new favorite restaurant. Wendy and her family that owns this place also on the hornet, oh my goodness, I’ve been going to that place for years. I love her she’s just so sweet, full energy and very bubbly.
Reagan was her waitress today and did a wonderful job. She explained the menu and told us about her customers favorite things on the menu.
A French dip was ordered, not the best. But I ordered the Beef Short rib with risotto and Demi glaze. Wow! I loved that!
The outdoor patio that looks really fun and be great when it’s definitely warmer out. A young person’s playground in the back. I love the bar area the light fixture, the plants inside were amazing I WOULD go back.
As usual Acova is a super consistently delicious place love the service and atmosphere.. and all the food is amazing
Acova is always a fantastic experience. Food and service are consistently very good. It's a little gem in the highlands if you're looking for a good spot without a wait.
Shelby our server was the sweetest!!!
The ambiance is nice but the food was very mediocre. My friend and I shared the ahi over polenta and was totally flavorless. I ordered the $12 brussel sprout/ kale salad and opted to not add a protein for $5. It was a large portion, the dressing was nice, but the only thing interesting was some dried cranberries thrown in. Definitely not worth the price. My friend had mussels which were good but pricey. Wouldn’t go back.
Betsy and crew are absolutely fantastic! Shelby was a delight the whole evening and was full of advise about what to try on the menu. Can't wait to come back!
Experience was good, service good however our food was just okay.
Great spot for honest eats!
Our party of five each had different entrees and all were delicious. The bread pudding and blueberry cobbler were also unusually good for dessert.
We were so impressed by the service here! Everyone is well trained and we were well taken care of on a busy Fri pm. Food was unique and good, expedited quickly which again was impressive for a full house. Lovely neighborhood. You will not be disappointed!
We had delicious food and great service! It was a cheery and bright place to enjoy Sunday Brunch.
Very good food and great service! The restaurant was pretty loud due to the open floor plan which is very aesthetic but not exactly practical for a busy restaurant.
Food was great and gluten free practices are used by the kitchen.
One of our favorite neighborhood spots. Great food, great service, great place!
The service from our waitress and the manager was fantastic. Very friendly staff that cares about your experience. They had delicious food and variety.
Great time! The patio has heat lamps so it was wonderful to sit there.
We LOVE everything about Acova and go there at least once a week or every other week!
Play area is nice but you need to plan to have someone to be right by their side. They do not allow children to play alone which kinda defeats the purpose of going to this restaurant with children. Food is mediocre but the ambiance is pleasant,
We had to go early because we had tickets for the Bug Theater right across the street. The outdoor space at Acova would be a draw and a strength-nice plant, off the street, cool construction materials-if they weren’t doing so well attracting the littles. It is packed with kids-because the parents can send them over to the play corner. Later at night I think things would be better for adults sans kids. At 630, service is slow, ambiance is Chucky Cheese kid loud. Food continues to struggle a little-some dishes can be great. I got the short rib. It was pretty good. Menu is Great for Veg. Not so great for keto.
There was a lot of sun in our eyes, we were sitting in front right by the big window. Maybe it needs a shade???? But this is my only criticism. Our waitress was great and the food was good.
The service was slow and even after asking for ketchup for our fries we never got it.
Food wasn’t good and the service was terrible!
Amazing Service. My son has celiac disease and they changed out the scoop for the ice cream to make sure it wasn’t cross contaminated. Food was served fast and service was friendly. Food was great and we will be going here once a month!
Hi John, Thank you so much for giving our staff a virtual pat on the back! We are happy to provide a place where you can come in to eat with your son with the assurance that we will go above and beyond to provide a safe dining experience for him. We are so excited to hear that you’ll be joining us regularly. Next time you are in, please introduce yourself so we can get to know you! Thanks again, John! Sincerely, Acova Management
The food was very ok, but the worse was the service, it’s like we were an inconvenience for her.
Awesome food, and the patio cannot be beat!
Acova surprised us on many levels. Every detail screams this year’s buzzword #authentic and makes you feel part of this little nest tucked into the highland neighborhood. The owner Betsy, Jess and Cesar welcomed us with big smiles, enthusiasm and passion. It’s places like these that make us feel part of a community and in an oasis at the same time. The design elements are thoughtful and understated and give homage to the original Patsy’s while taking a hundred year Italian restaurant into a new era. Oh and did we forget to mention the food was delicious as well! By far the best pierogis in town and easy drinking cocktails (including organic wine slushies FTW) Thank you! 10/10!!! @fiercefoodfun
It took us 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our initial drink orders to the table, server didn’t even ask for drink orders until we had been there for 30 minutes. Then food took another 30 minutes to come out and they brought all but one person’a food, explaining that it had been mistakenly delivered to the wrong table and they would have to make more. Server left that one person in our party to wait until they prepared another dish. No mention was made of apology for the poor service and no changes made to the bill. Will NOT return.
Great new find for us! Great waitress, great accommodation for dietary restrictions, and great setting.
Friendly staff - but forgetful. Mixed reviews on food. Short ribs and French dip were very fatty. Pasta and fish and chips were good. Very loud.
Excellent food and service for such a kid-friendly restaurant. So happy a place like this exists. New parents should check it out. Will definitely be a returning with friends and family.
Acova is one of my fav place to meet friends. Love their HH.
We dined on a Saturday night before a show at the Bug Theater across the street. Very open place with a big patio! We sat inside. Requested a standard table but none available so we sat at a high top table in the bar area. We were served the wrong drinks to start off. Manager had to step in. We started with the potato and cheese pierogi, very good. The honey stung fried chicken was a beat down chicken breast that was dry! Very disappointing, especially since it is "one of their best dishes". The potatoes and greens were okay. The Icelandic Cod was okay, not great but had a good amount of crab slaw on top. We would consider going back for lunch/drinks on the patio. Service was inconsistent.
Birthday dinner. Had patio seating & the ambiance on the patio was awesome! They gave me a free birthday dessert too! Food was excellent.
The food didn't blow my socks off, but it was good. The ambience of the outdoor patio is great!
Acova is a lovely little gem tucked away but opens up to a lovely outdoor patio and fantastic space. Our server, Crystal was great! This was my first visit and I will definitely be back. The food was very good and the experience was fabulous.
