Acorn & the Oak
Chuck used to own a restaurant in Dubuque, Iowa, and I used to own a flower shop in Chicago, Illinois. We moved to the PNW and got married last year, and dreamed of combining our past experiences under one glorious roof. So in February we bought the old Lakeside Chalet space – a 1936 building on Highway 500 and Lacamas Park – and we’re renovating it inside and out.
We are finally ready to spoil you with flowers, plants & gifts for life’s occasions great and small, plus craft cocktails & small bites to tickle your tastebuds.

My fiancée and I had an incredible experience. Everything was wonderful and we will be going back again, FOR SURE!
Delicious food and wonderful cocktails! Can’t wait to go back.
What's not to love about Acorn & the Oak?! Food, amazing, and the presentation too. Atmosphere...ideal and the service, outstanding!
Hats off to Chuck & Janessa for opening Acorn & The Oak during these crazy times! Had very high expectations and was not disappointed. Can't wait to go back!
I was excited to try this new Camas restaurant based on a recommendation from my sister. I took my girlfriend for a nice dinner date, something we haven’t done for a long time. We couldn’t sit outside due to smoke so we sat inside. They did a very nice job with decor and provided a beautiful flower arrangement for our dinner.
Drinks were very good and we tried several on the menu. Our server was attentive but we could barely hear her. They had the music blaring and the hardwood floors cause the room to reverberate with sound. It’s a very loud restaurant. We tried the meat pie appetizer and trout. The trout was excellent. The meat pies were cold, but otherwise good. We shared an entree and chose the braised short ribs. The description sounded amazing but the dish fell way short. I found a black hair in the mash potatoes and the short rib was very tough. I’ve never had short rib that was so chewy. We gave up after a few bites. I’m not sure where this went wrong but we were very disappointed.
We finished with homemade rum plum ice cream which was outstanding. I’d like to give this place another shot maybe when COVID restrictions ease and we can sit in the bar and have appetizers. Hopefully our visit was an anomaly for the chef.
Very nice location with a nice view of the lake. The meal was delicious but I would skip the Caesar salad next time.
Such a wonderful experience- the staff is amazing, the food great and the ambiance magical!
This is our second time there and it was wonderful! The vibes, the food, the service! All amazing!
Exceptional service, unique and delicious food choices. Building has been remodeled and is gorgeous!
Great service, patio lighting was too dark but great ambience besides that.
Highly recommend Acorn & The Oak! The food, the setting, the cocktails and the service - all fantastic! The food and cocktails are all crafted with creativity and impeccable attention to details.
Once again, Janessa, Chuck, and staff provided us with an outstanding dining experience. Acorn and the Oak is a gem - quietly rising as one of the best in the greater Vancouver/Portland area. We’d like to keep it as our secret place but we know many others are discovering this awesome place.
Beautiful and very private patio, interior looked welcoming and intriguingly designed but we only passed through briefly. Cocktails and food were delicious, high quality and well presented but a bit on the spendy side ($15 for a dessert). Will be back for a special occasion and when we can try sitting at the bar!
very good-staff engaging, helpful and very pleasant
a very nice evening
Delicious food, great service, great ambiance. A tad spendy. Highly recommend.
What a quaint supper club right here in Camas. Beautifully decorated, a great staff of waiters and incredible tasty food.
Patio dining was excellent. Flower arrangement ordered ahead was on the table when we arrived. Great dining experience — food, surroundings, and friendly, welcoming owners and staff. Chuck’s Oak Manhattan cocktail was delicious.
Wonderful experience! Barata was amazing! Will be back soon.
wonderful setting, wonderful service, wonderful food.
Great food, great setting, great service. A perfect place to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We arrived and right away could tell we were going to feel COVID safe at the restaurant. We sat outside on the small patio and enjoyed a relaxing meal. We will be back!!!
What a very special place. Beautiful outdoor setting, kind people, and delicious food prepared with love. Every detail was obviously well thought out. We will be back!
A nice change of pace! We had great food, drinks and service! Super cute bar and restaurant. We sat outside on a gorgeous evening.
Food was refreshing and very yummy!
Drinks were fun and different than just the “normal” drinks.
Staff was very friendly and welcoming!!!
Can’t wait to go back and try something else on the menu.
It is a perfect quick getaway and date night place. I love the vibe and the libations!
Great food at a riverside setting with good service and terrific cocktails. Soon to be a regular for us!
The atmosphere is wonderful. Great patio and interior. The asparagus and scallops & prosciutto pasta were fantastic. The Shrimp scampi was good but not great. The service was friendly with the owner stopping by. Do not skip the sorbet or ice cream. Definitely a keeper for date night.
It was such a fun vibe, great food and awesome service!
Great place & I can see this becoming our regular hangout
We would highly recommend Acorn and the Oak. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious and the drinks were fun to try. We had the Sangria and Rose Gimlet. The Garlic Saffron bread was perfect with our entrees. We can’t wait to go back again!
Loved the ambiance and the food was delicious! The staff were all friendly and nice, but our table of four was all little put off by the service. Just small things: other tables that were seated after us received water before us, entrees did not all come out at the same time so one person was left out for a while. We tried to wait, but our entrees were getting cold. Maybe they were understaffed that night? I think that overall, the concept is adorable but they need to work on some kinks. I understand that Covid has severely impacted small restaurants like this, but for the price we are paying, it would be nice to see improvement. Would try again, but maybe as a smaller party.
We haven’t been going out much due to Covid. The owners and staff go above and beyond to keep everyone safe.
The food was exquisite and presented beautifully with flowers included.
The dining area is inside a florist shop which adds to the charm. There is a lovely patio with a view of the lake.
I recommend a reservation as seating is limited.
We will definitely return.
Great addition to the restaurant scene in Camas.....atmosphere, people and food were all amazing! Will be back again.
Wonderful atmosphere and service. I would highly recommend. They made my special occasion very special. Food was wonderful and I took home a beautiful bouquet. We will be back very soon.
Loved it. Loved it. Loved it.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The food was superb. The ambiance was lovely. And the services was friendly and appropriate. I will go again and again.
Beautiful atmosphere and great menu!
It is a magical place. Food and service- excellent

We had an amazing dinner! The food was quality and so was the service! Will definitely be back!
