   Creative flavorful appetizers and entrees. Mussels, duck confit, corn ribs were especially memorable and easy to share. Craft cocktails were unique and delicious. Was worth the drive for casual destination dining.

   Drinks were just okay- glass was way too big for mix ratio to be right Apps - Marrow + Tortillas = Slimy Tortillas, Marrow lover here, big disappointment. Oysters tasted very fishy, only ate half of them. Dinner - Steak was good, prepared correctly. Left disappointed, we had high hopes for the first date night out, away from the kids, in a long time. Food and drink were below average and service wasn't great at a time where they could've been more attentive.

   Acopio does not disappoint. They had a jicama tortilla-octopus taco that was just divine, plus the standard fare I have come to love as a repeat diner... including the corn eloté, duck confit with that insane masa cake, the lovely cocktails.. highly recommended, as always.

    The food was really good. Yea the neighborhood is questionable but once you are inside the food is fabulous. The corn ribs is something I have never had before and it is delicious. The steak was PERFECT This is a sharing place so no one meal is for one person.

    We liked the unique menu and fresh take on Mexican cuisine. The food was excellent The neighborhood is a little iffy which would be OK except the high prices don't reflect the low-rent neighborhood. It's a very unusual blend of a casual atmosphere with a very creative menu - almost like eating at a gourmet food truck. The food came quickly after ordering it and the service was super friendly, but we had to wait to get plates, silverware, and napkins. After all was said it's just quirky enough to get us to come back for another try.

    Excellent food and an innovative selection of Mexican cocktails. The flavor in all the dishes we sampled was excellent. The Elote in particular was among the best I’ve had. And the Mezcal selection was very good. Definitely would recommend for folks looking for a flavorful and innovative take on Mexican cuisine in a contemporary setting.

    Love our meal and service. Requested outside seating got it but we’re seated in front of restaurant with a lot of traffic noise. They have a nice outdoor seating along side of William street much better closed from traffic noise. Asked to be seated there but were told only used when front outdoor seating was full. How does this make sense for customers satisfaction. You think people who make reservations would get priority seating especially when we spent over $250.00. Just saying.

    Dined at Acopio for the first time last night. It had come highly recommended and did not disappoint. We shared multiple dishes and all were delicious. The most unique was the shrimp cocktail, which was more like a gazpacho. The broth was amazing, plus the addition of capers was very unique. Setting is nice, service was friendly and helpful, parking is easy. We loved it and will be back!

    Just the best Mexican food in Bay Area. Reminded me of the great food you get in Mexico City. Vegetarian Taco is to die for. Corn Ribs area a must have.

    We came on a Sunday night and sat on the outdoor patio, which was quite comfortable. I can imagine that the traffic noise might vary quite a bit but we didn't find it bothersome. Service was very attentive and pleasant. Cocktails were creative and tasty and the food was excellent. We particularly liked the Costillas de Elote, the Tacos de Casa (we tried all three), and the Pipian Rojo con Pato. If you have room, try the Capirotada for dessert; it is moist and delicious. We will definitely be back.

    As a regular the items that I love were excellent as always: the corn elote, the nixtarita and la ex cocktails with their delicate and carefully balanced mixes of flavor. Of note this time were new seafood items including lump crab tacos (very good) and spicy mussels. We finished with an outstanding bread pudding dessert that belies its pedestrian name. This was far from ordinary in light textured figgy deliciousness and the subtle contrast with a citrus gel with which it was served.

    We've been twice and always sat outside on the patio. The food is outstanding. The tacos are flavorful and an easy choice, but the duck mole is the best thing I have had so far. Don't miss the elote as an appetizer. We also loved the bread pudding.

    The food was excellent as we expected. The food ingredients tasted fresh and they were creatively interpreted and expressed. The duck was tender and bursting with flavors. The only issue we had was that because we were seated outdoor sometimes it felt like we we had less than stellar service. We only had one bottle of water for 8 people and the waiter didn’t come around to ask how we were doing. Patrons indoors seemed to have better service. We will be back for the delicious food, but we’ll probably sit indoors for better service.

    We love this restaurant and are never disappointed. This time we had the grilled corn, all of the taco variations and two innovative salads. All delicious. A fair better experience than the crowded Willow Glen restaurants.

    Acopio is among our top 5 San Jose restaurants for our Friday date night or a lovely evening and dinner with friends. It's a great place to share plates, too! We have so many favorites! Be sure you begin with a cocktail; the Nixtarita and La Fogato were a delightful surprise with interesting flavor profiles I've never had before. We love the menu items and believe me, we've tried a lot of them! Cotillas de Elote is brilliant - the preparation, presentation, and flavors will leave you wanting more, so I suggest you order two if you're a party of 4. On a recent visit, we had the Panela a la Plancha and I wanted a vat of the tomatillo jam to go! The Tuétanos Asados en su Hueso (Bone Marrow) is another "go-to" when we dine there. Like us, you may have to keep going back just to try everything! I haven't even gotten to the tortillas yet! You'll want to save room for the main dish, such as ... Tacos de Casa is a dish unlike any tacos I've had before. I highly recommend you get all 3 of them so you don't have to choose between the tempura crab, the pork, or the amazing mushroom taco. Or the Mole de Pate! Every time my husband and I go to Acopio, one of us has to order the duck so that we can share it. It's another dish that I want to have over and over again. The menu is seasonal, so it does change, but every change just adds something new that we must try. GO! Enjoy.

    The food is the real star here. First, the ingredients are well sourced. Asparagus and verdolaga in the salad were both near perfect. Oysters were good, and the cucumber mignonette was a nice innovation. The al pastor taco was excellent but the vegetarian taco was even better - perfectly tender mushrooms on a tortilla made with house-nixtamalized corn. Then our mains: a fine center cut beef with grilled chayote, and - best of all - a duck confit leg with a red pipian. The duck was among the best we’ve ever had: lighter than usual for a duck leg, and perfectly tender. On the plate was a masa cake which was to die for. The service was a little bit stretched but got the job done. The room was calm, with music playing at just enough volume to soften the sound of other peoples’ conversations.s This place is worth a trip! Exceptional food for the bay area, not just San Jose.
