We enjoyed taking advantage of the Tues night entree deal!
Acme is always great. The food is great, but not overly pretentious. The service is helpful but not cloying. It is somehow at just the right level to be fun, special, but never stuffy or intimidating. One of our favorites!
The best salmon I’ve ever had!
Fun buzz for a Sunday brunch. Salmon pie was outstanding as well as good bloody Mary’s. Food choices were also good, varied from regular Breakfast to unusual choices.
Fabulous birthday brunch with mimosas, crab omelette and poached eggs with sauce . Yum!!
I keep trying to give Acme chances but I keep getting disappointed by the food and the service. Acme is fine for brunch and bloody-Mary's BUT dinner is boring and the service is seriously lacking. The hostess was very nice though.
We were sat at our table and no one came to our table for a while. Food was pretty overrated from what I’ve heard from this restaurant. My friend and I were very excited to try it out but the Jambalaya was a big N-O. The pecan-crusted fried chicken was alright but tough and over cooked, sadly. The service was not the best.
Overall, this restaurant was not worth the prices in my opinion.
We had cocktails, dinner with extra sides, and desserts. All was delicious. The Tuesday night deal of all entree's half price made it much more appealing. Kit!
I love Acme, especially for their Tuesday night special! I really enjoy sitting outside. My only comment would be that it is VERY loud and the tables are VERY close together. I understand that the restaurant wants to seat as many patrons as possible, but we had to shout at each other from time to time.
Great food, great service, great local scene. Suggested improvement: get your white wines cooler. They are consistently under chilled and not up to speed with appitizers or first courses...you have to wait for them to chill at the table.
My wife and I always love coming to dine at Acme. Whether we sit at the bar in the restaurant or on the patio its always fantastic! We love everything from the cocktails to the desserts. Thank you for being one of our go to spots for the past 20 years!
Perfect service level, great selection of cocktails and wine and very tasty Southern inspired food. Beautiful space! On some items, prices seemed a little high, but just by like $1-2.
It all started with the staff. We showed up 15 minutes early and were seated within minutes. The waiter was absolutely amazing, guiding us through the exquisite menu and the incredible flavor combinations. We went with pecan encrusted fried chicken, cornbread with a goat cheese and thyme butter, and jambalaya, all of which were fantastic! I can’t recommend this place enough, the prices were definitely reasonable, if not low for the quality of service and food, the staff were exceedingly polite, and the food was just perfection.
Never disappoints.. Favorite brunch spot!
Food and service always excellent.
Acme is one of the best deals around. Brunch is GREAT and reasonable with some interesting choices.
I dined with a group of 10 and some at the table said their breakfast sandwich was the best they'd ever had anywhere. Really nice selection of local, healthy food. We look forward to eating here again.
Creative menu with lots of healthy options.
Everything we had from drinks to appsbto entrees to desserts were excellent - service was fantastic too
Alright. Pretty expensive for what you get.
We went here for a Valentine's day date. I made sure to make a reservation a few weeks before so that we would have a spot. Upon arrival they greeted us and made us wait about a few minutes which wasn't bad at all considering it was a holiday. They then seated us and took our order. The server was very helpful and let us taste a wine we were interested in. We ordered two drinks I had the winter ration and my girlfriend had a white wine. Both were very good. We also ordered the calamari salad as an appetizer which had an awesome dressing and a very different but enjoyable taste. The portion of calamari was decent so I would say it was worth the $10 it cost. Then we ordered our entrees, I had the pecan crusted fried chicken ($23) and my girlfriend had the crab cakes ($26). They were both excellent choices. The mashed potatoes were amazing as well as the chicken. The crab cakes were also very good especially the sauce they used to drizzle on top of them. The portions were the right size and we ended up taking about a third of the fried chicken home. Overall the experience was worth it although for fine dining I think it may have been slightly more expensive than other places in the triangle. It's a great place that everyone should try at least once. I have yet to try their brunch and plan on coming back sometime soon.
Awesome food. Great atmosphere. Did I say awesome food?
We had a very enjoyable brunch. The service was nicely attentive without being on top of us. The salmon hand cake was delicious as was the omelet. We shared both which was a great way to do brunch. We topped it all off with a pair of Bloody Marys which were also quite good.
Well done Acme!
Have been to ACME many times and greatly enjoyed it each time.
I was surprised that the food was not excellent. It was good. Bordering on very good. The entree portions were on the small side - almost like stingy. It made me wonder if they were running out that night. Why would you be chintzy on gumbo? A steak might be different...... I like the atmosphere and especially since our foursome scored a table where it was not so loud. Otherwise a very loud and close together kind of place. The service was fine, quite competent. A great neighborhood place. Really good. Just left you thinking, " it could be so much more......"
The menu is limited and overpriced but the food was good.
2 of our 3 dishes were cold. Good apps but the entrees were cold and not worth the money.
The Mardi Gras menu had a lot of good options and everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable, but service was a little slow. We were seated in the back room, so ambiance was not the best. Still, would be happy to return in the future.
Excellent! Great service, great wine options. Good food!!
Great restaurant with great food. Loved the outside sitting area.
Waiter was friendly, looked in on us often, great service
Food and service excellent as always. First Sunday brunch experience, will definitely return. Never rushed and staff was helpful and friendly.
Had brunch at ACME for the first time and the food and service were excellent. The ACME breakfast was just right. The potatoes are perfectly cooked and seasoned. The biscuits are large and fabulous - even when enjoyed the next day. It was unnecessarily chilly in the restaurant with all the fans on despite a cold day.
Brunch on Sunday. Had reservation for 1:00PM and were seated after only 5 minute wait. Although very busy, service was very good and fast. We all had breakfast items and everything was prepared perfectly. Poached eggs were hot with runny yolks; grits were creamy, not too runny and not too dry. Everyone was delighted with their entree. I would highly recommend!
Our go-to place for Sunday brunch. Acme never disappoints! Orange County Special, Crab Cakes, and Country Breakfast plus Cinnamon Roll. Can't go wrong at Acme.
The brunch meal was absolutely delicious. I had heard about Acme’s brunch and it lived up to expectations. The service was fine but not over the top.
My favorite restaurant in the area. Come here every time I'm in town and it never disappoints.
Fun, delicious dinner. Nice cocktails.
The food was great, the service was awesome and we had a fantastic time. I am from Pittsburgh, PA and will definitely return!
