   Tried the new menu (5/21/23) and was not impressed. The birra egg rolls were good but the banh mi and the noodle bowl weren’t very good. The noodles were mushy and it was very difficult to eat. The banh mi just didn’t have great flavor. The fries were good. We skipped dessert after not feeling great with two entree selections.

   From walking in the door there is an immediate Cool Vibe to Aseq. The music, the host who we believe was the owner who greeted/sat us, our waiter and it continued throughout dinner. You cannot help but smile when you are here. The food was the best we have ever had from the start of a Caesar salad, each of our entrees’ (pasta, the protein special and the seafood special) was perfection especially my steak followed by the bananas and strawberry shortcake that we shared. We savored every bite! Our favorite cocktail of the night was the Cucumber Elderflower Gin Fizz - refreshing and so incredibly good. This place is 10 stars not 5 - we will be back every time we visit Taos for sure. Thank you so much for a wonderful Mother’s Day dinner. Oh and I can’t forget to mention Basil the owner’s French bulldog who watches over the place - she’s precious!!!

   Food was delicious! The service was fantastic and the setting is cool. The fried artichokes were a great starter. The specials for the night were wonderful and they had a good variety on the menu. Would recommend!

   I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THE FOOD AT ACEQ. BUT UNLESS YOU LUCK OUT AND DINE ON A NIGHT/TIME WHEN THERE ARE FEW OTHER DINERS IT IS HARD TO ENJOY A CONVERSATION, JUST TOO NOISY. WE SKIPPED WINE AND DESSERT, JUST WANTED TO GET OUT OF THERE.

   The portobello mushroom dish was horrible. The mushroom was sour and soggy not tasty. None of the flavors blended well together. It was very disappointing. The meat in the dish was nearly burned. The Mahi Mahi was very good except the sauce for the carrots was way too heavy. The special non alcoholic drinks prepared for us were excellent and very refreshing. The waiter was excellent and very pleasant.

    This was a “date night” dinner with my husband. Our overall experience was terrific. This little restaurant in the picturesque village of Arroyo Seco, just north of Taos on the road to Taos Ski Valley, is a local favorite for good reason. Our server was especially good; she was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable (even about the wines and liqueurs, of which they offer a large selection). My only real quibble with the food is that the delicious bison bone marrow appetizer was served with grilled bread that was slathered with jalapeño jam, which (although delicious) discouraged me from spreading either the tasty bone marrow or the lovely roasted garlic on it. A simpler presentation would have been more to my liking. The chicken “sando” served in a brioche bun featured a fried chicken breast half that was crisp and not at all greasy. I would have liked a bit of spice in the slaw on the sandwich, and indeed a bit more seasoning on the chicken itself, but it was still tasty. The accompanying shoestring fries were perfectly fried and delicious. For dessert, my husband and I split a key lime pie. The pie was good, but was served (non-traditionally) over a raspberry coulis. Note that they change their menu seasonally and are planning to introduce a new summer menu in mid-May; I look forward to going back.

    Amazing place, great service and food!! Music was poundingly loud which made everyone shout in a very small space.... I go to restaurants to enjoy the food and company, not to feel like I'm at a party. Otherwise everything was fantastic.

    The dishes are so well through out, and they create hands down best mocktails. I want to come just for that! Waitstaff are exceptionally friendly and upbeat, which is understandable unusual in these stressful, challenging times. A really lovely spot

    We got appetizers and a salad and dessert! Everything was delicious! Service is great. We had the lamb lollipops, Brussels sprouts, bison short rib frites, warm kale salad. Best margaritas! Good wine list. The chocolate cake with red chili pepper was fabulous! Go there, you will love it!

    Food and wine pairings were quite good as was the service...very attentive. My only complaint was the live music which was really loud and combined with all the conversation from neighboring tables, it became hard to hear my dinner mates.

    Not a big fan of loud dinner places but how can you not enjoy yourself eating good food to Hotel California. The food had interesting combinations and our waiter was personable and fun. Casual, love the wall colors, energetic. Read the rules and don’t forget to ring the gong if you had a good time. .

    The food was so good - everything we ordered was creative and utterly delicious. There we options for everyone's diet and limitation (vegetarian, vegan, GF)/ We wanted to order almost everything off the menu. The service can't be beat. We'll be back for sure.

    A good choice for Taos area. Burger was good. The lamb lollies were fine. Needed a bit more seasoning and odd to serve the yogurt on a warm plate. I'd probably rate it higher if it wasn't so expensive. Beware the steaks on the special menu are expensive, upwards of $70. You have to ask as the price is not listed. I had them before and they are very good if you're willing to pay. But you can find some good prices too. We will be back.

    I brought a friend to dine at Aceq. He thought it was very good, we enjoyed our meals, the dessert was outstanding, and as per usual, the Manhattan was delectable. Our server was great and friendly. Another good experience!

    My first choice when visiting Taos. Fantastic food, great vibe, and the bartenders/servers are the best! Chef always comes out to talk to guests. Sit at the bar and watch the kitchen fun happen! Seafood choices are cooked to perfection. Great dining experience!

    Your food is great - loved the bacon wrapped dates - what a treat! We also had the brussels sprouts and the breaded artichoke hearts - they were great. We all had a drink. I had a Manhattan but I would have preferred a mixed drink, like an appletinnie. I also have the fillet Mignon which was really good. There were four ladies so I don't remember what they had, but I know they were happy. Your desserts were wonderful. Marla makes some great desserts. We had the butter pound cake and they berry cheesecake. Really good! Our server, Marilyn was a pleasure. Overall a good experience. Thank you!

    Food was ok- steak was better of the two entrees. Vegetarian options were limited and the polenta was mediocre at best. Disappointed in the service- for the price you’d expect to have good service and ours was bad. Will not go back.
