The food was outstanding. I had one of the specials which was the seabass, probably the best meal I've had in Taos! One of our group had the bouillabaisse bowl and the other two had the burger special. We all agreed that the food could not have been better! Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. The only reason for not giving a full 5 stars on the overall review was that the background noise level was too high to carry on a conversation. It was not noise from the other diners, it was just the overall acoustics. My group agreed that we would go back for the food but with the expectation that we wouldn't be able to visit much.

The new menu is a wintertime treat with northern European influences you are guaranteed to find something to satisfy all tastes. Would highly reccomend the meatbal appetizers and the Brussels Sprouts. My favorite is the SCHWEINERBRATAN or any of the daily specials cooked up by chef Gabe.

We both had the specials of the day. One rib-eye, one salmon. Cooked to perfection andgreat sauce on the beef. Not to miss dessert: peanut-butter chocolate pie. Yum!

Everyone enjoyed their drinks and food. The service and ambience were great. My only criticism is that the stuffed portabella mushroom with root vegetables, risotto and red chiles had one too many flavors. My dinner companions said the eggplant and beef were amazing.

Tonight we had one of the best meals ever. We have always enjoyed dining here, but tonight takes the cake! Chef Gabe's new winter menu enticed us, wowed our tastebuds, and left us excited to return. The atmosphere is cozy and the vibe is super sweet. Cuisine is made and served up with love. So much gratitude and respect🙏

New fall menu! We tried the duck quarters and stuffed portobello mushroom. Absolutely delicious...probably one of the best dinners we have ever had. Wish we had had another day so we could try more dishes. Maybe next time we can try some of the smaller plates. They looked very inventive.

Variety of dishes to choose from. Specials are always "special." We live about two miles from ACEQ and usually eat there once a week. We feel very fortunate to have this restaurant in our neighborhood.

Everything that we ate was excellent in taste and in presentation. We had the Brussels sprouts appetizer, which was one of the best Brussels sprouts dishes we've ever had. For entrees, we had the Polenta Tartine and the Thai Peanut Rice Noodle Bowl -- both outstanding. We finished with dessert of their flourless chocolate cake and the peanut butter cream pie -- again both outstanding. The only part of our experience that was less than excellent was the service. The restaurant appeared to be short-staffed for waiters, so it took our waiter longer than we would have preferred to attend to our requests. Nevertheless, we would still be happy to return to this restaurant!

My wife and I each had the ribeye special. It was MP and maybe that’s on me but when entrees range $18-$34 it’s duplicitous to charge more than double that for a special. If the 12oz steak was excellent I could maybe understand $50 but the steak was terrible (fatty in all the wrong ways) and it was $69/plate! I’m a local and have eaten at Aceq at least 20 times. I love the spot and the food but that is just an outrageous price, so disappointing.

My friend and I had the chef’s protein. It was a 70 dollar steak that was not even close to being the quality of steak for that price. It was so fatty and chewy. Felt like we were ripped off. Also ordered some coffee and it tasted like water and was the color of a very light tea. Very different experience than the previous visit.

We dine at Aceq at least once a week. Love the food and menu as we have been following Chef Gabe for some time since his days at Sabroso. Other than one of the servers Bri who my wife knows each time we visit we seem to be treated like a newcomer. In contrast to Sabroso where they know us by name and recognize us when we walk in (we also dine there weekly). Minor complaint as their food is outstanding and often Gabe comes out to say hello. They do have quite a bit of turnover in staff but perhaps recognizing regulars isn't a priority.

Our experience dining there was wonderful as it was a very special evening for both of us. I presented my fiancé with her wedding ring. As a business owner in Taos for many years, I will high will recommend people to your establishment.

I ordered a filet mignon, medium rare. I was assured that the beef served at Aceq was top quality. My filet was not. If I had to guess, I would have said a tenderizer had been used. There was a mushy tasteless quality. The previous evening I had ordered a filet mignon at Lambert’s of Taos. It was a top quality cut prepared perfectly. The difference was striking. My dining partner was very satisfied with his polenta-based meal. I would recommend Aceq, but without much enthusiasm. And not the beef.

We ate at Aceq on Saturday night! It was amazing! We ordered the Brussel Sprouts, Egg Rolls and the Korean Sandwich. That sandwich had sooo much flavor! We were expecting good but it was amazing! And Charlie (our waiter) was fantastic!!!

Was able to get a reservation the evening of on Friday in mid October. Probably as good as advertised. A see and be seen place with food and service to back it up. Don’t mess the bowl of scallop stew. Lamb lollipops are a favorite. Didn’t have time for Keylime pie so the waiter give us a little slice gratis ! Nice touch

The food was fantastic! We had the grouper with roasted corn and mixed local veges. Calabacitas were on the plate. The meal was one of the best we have ever had. Drinks were fantastic also. We highly recommend this restaurant. It is in the back off the street. If you can’t find it once you are there, call and they will personally come out to guide you.

We had a delicious dinner last night at Aceq! Everything from appetizers to dessert was so, so good! And the mezcal cocktail- YUM! I think the best part about the dinner is that Elijah is donating proceeds from last night to Taos Cancer Support Services. He does this every year and shows his commitment to our community. Thank you, Elijah and Aceq! We love you and your big hearts!
