Acapulco - Glendale
We serve up an “everyday escape” for guests to luscious simplicity in an inviting and lively atmosphere. Since our first cantina opened in 1960, our restaurants have become hidden gems where locals gather with friends and family for great food, drinks, and heartfelt hospitality.
Awesome service and very tasty food! Staff was very accommodating and the food was prepared to perfection!
Great place but parking was limited
On Monday Sept. 28 my family and I went to Acapulco for a family dinner for my mom's birthday. Vanessa was out waitress and she did such an amazing job. She made sure we got what we asked for quickly and she was super friendly. We have came her a lot to eat with family and although we have never had a problem with any waiter/waitress, she stood out to our family. She made it so pleasurable!
Great overall experience. Fast seating with reservation.
Music was loud and distorted. Both Carnitas and fajitas tasted like they had been in a steam tray for many hours. Server was very casual with face mask and kept her face shield up. Freeway next to restaurant didn’t help anything, and there were several ambulances blaring past. Margarita was good. Order the large; you’ll need it.
People friendly. Helpful staff my reservation really helped out i like the fact that i can walk outside and smoke ..
Great service, the waitress was really nice and attentive
sitting outside was terrible. it was hot, and you're sitting outside in the sun, the umbrellas don't do much because of the position of the sun and if you try to bend them to cover you from the sun the wind blows them so we would have to move them. not ideal. food is great. service is ehhhh. not the best not worse. the waiters are working in the hot sun, they are doing the best they can.
The seating outside was very nicely spaced out. Each of the staff had masks worn properly and plastic face shields. There were also umbrellas over every table, which during the day time was very nice to keep the warm sun off of us. Service was a little slow, but all the food was delicious.
Good outdoor patio area. Service was a little slow tonight.
Food was cold and meat was hard. We told our server and he only took off a portion of one plate even though we didn’t eat either plates. The table in front of us was extremely drunk and walking back and forth from another table with no masks or social distancing. The table was so sticky the menus literally stuck to it as the server went to take them away once we ordered. It was our daughters birthday and no one remembered even though it was put on our reservation. We will not be coming back
I probably would not highly reccomend this Acapulco's. Everything was good. Just not special as compared to some of our great Mexican favorite spots.
Great evening and the staff is amazing. They clean everything and disinfect.
They have set up their outside area to meet safety guidelines. Their servers do an excellent job and are also doing a good job from a safety perspective. The set up and experience helps you feel comfortable for the times we are in.
Delighted to be out dining
Food was great.
Improvements would be helpful
Sticky tables. Paper covers would be
A good idea.
Live music was good . Festive
But too loud
The omelet did not compare to your omelets bar omelets. The waffle syrup was boiling and getting caramelized. .not good.
We have been co ing for years and years.
Very clean and felt safe. Service was excellent starting with Check-in. Our waiter was awesome!!
Despite COVID 19, this restaurant is very prepared and provided a great place to celebrate Father’s Day! The good was delicious and the service was wonderful. Thank you!
Cant go weong with Acapulco!
I was appalled by the lack of concern with the no masks and no social distancing around the restaurant. I witnessed multiple customers walking around the restaurant with out masks on and also not having them on while waiting to be served Sunday brunch at the serving stations. Staff witnessed this as well and was not saying anything to them. Also there was no reaction to the lack of social distancing among customers. We also were seated at a booth and while there, they sat a group behind us in another booth less than 6 feet away. We were concerned for our safety and the safety of others. Something needs to be done about this.
Everything was great! Our waiter was very nice and made great suggestions! Will be going back again!
Food was messy didn’t taste fresh they gave my dad the wrong order just wasn’t satisfied!
Would not honor my Opentable brunch reservation. Understaffed and very hectic. Slow service. Need better crowd control!
We had a very pleasant experience dining here. The food is excellent and the service was friendly and accommodating!
No guacamole for a Mexican restaurant for this night. I do t know why! server not attentive and food was served looking different than what’s pictured. No garnish, no fruits on the chocolate lava cake as what’s shown in the menu picture.
I made a reservation on Christmas Day and my family and I were ready for a great dinner. Unfortunately when we arrived at the restaurant they told us that they’re not taking any more walk-ins and I told them I made a reservation beforehand and I received a confirmation. They explained that open table’s reservations and confirmations don’t reserve a spot and don’t mean much. It’s very frustrating to have a reservation system available for a restaurant and the restaurant disregard it completely. Since there aren’t many restaurants open on Christmas I called beforehand to make sure Acapulco is open but instead it ruined my family’s Christmas dinner plans. There’s no reason to have a system available for reservations if the restaurant is going to turn you away.
Food was good. Waiter was excellent. I really enjoyed it. Would recommend.
I was not impressed with the Sunday Brunch Buffet. We went at 1:00 pm. Food was just OK. Variety was crummy. Lots of options were either gone, in low supply, or desiccated. Not my choice for next time.
We were pleasantly greeted, seated, & served with attentive and non-obtrusive followup. A favorite place of ours for dining.
We had a great time ,our son and Family joined us .
Great food and great service.
I didn’t get any points from Open Table ??
Thanksgiving with my husband.
Some of us in our group did not like the food. Chicken in the buffet was very dry. One person order steak burrito and did not like it and left most of it. Menudo was so so and there was no green salsa. I was very surprised to see how lonely it was at 12.
It was o k. Some of the food did not taste as good as last time.
Our server was great!
Very good Mexican food. A little slower, but good and friendly staff. Excellent location!!
Great food great service we had a great time. The best omelette I have had in a long time.
I ordered a chicken tostado compuesta. It has less that 1 oz of chicken. I really could not find any chicken. It was mostly beans. Very dissatisfied compared to years ago when they use to add big chunks.
I guess I would but every time I come here with a coupon and don't order drinks I get attitude from the server regardless of who it is. And you have to get the manager to come to the table to approve it. Give me a break.
Terrible. Server was indifferent to us. Asked for more chips and salsa. Never came. Got up to try and find manager. Must have been hiding. Food poor quality AND way way over priced. Way to noisy. Ruined my Fathers Day with the family. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
