Everything was incredible...food, service and location!
The food was great. The service was excellent.
I’m not one to drive around looking for parking. So i pulled up to the valet. Valet is $10.00. Made reservations on open table. Hostess sat us right away and even offered coat check.
I ordered a poo poo platter of appetizers. I had the charbroiled oysters which were good, some of the oysters were a bit small. The crawfish etouffee was good. The portion was perfect. I also had the trio of devil eggs which i also loved. And i had a side of greens with Benton’s bacon. I would definitely recommend having
Our waiter, the one with the pony tail took our drink orders, came back with the wine. took our meal order and we never saw him until the check came. I was looking forward to another glass of wine with my entrée but that never happened. My wife and I have been her a few times in the past, the food is always good. The service on this night was horrible, and it was not crowded.
I have dined at Acadiana many, many enjoyable times, and I have never had complaints---food, service, ambiance have always been on par. However, on this visit things did not go so well. I had reservations , but was not seated until after a 40-minute wait! I was shocked and surprised.
This really placed a tremendous damper on our dining experience with family visiting us from out of town. Once seated, the service was a little slow; however, I must add, things did kick in and the service was wonderful and our server was awesome. She and the food saved the day.
My party of 4 had a wonderful time look forward to coming back again soon. Everything was great I will share my experience with others.
Birthday! It was incredible! Best food, best wait staff'
Sunday brunch is unbeatable. Delicious, authentic, great value. Appetizer, entree, and dessert included in the price with the option to add bottomless bloody Mary’s or Mimosas for $10 more. Great vibe with live jazz during our Sunday brunch.
The drinks were great and the food was fantastic. A lot of southern favorites done right.
Outstanding service. Excellent food, and great ambiance. I went with a friend as part of our quest to find "the best Shrimp and Grits in D.C.". We ordered the Shrimp and Grits as well as the Seafood Gumbo....both were outstanding(as were the Grilled Oysters).
First let me say that I lived in Louisiana for 26 years, so I know Louisiana style cooking! I really wanted to like this place but it really fell short. We started with the charbroiled oysters, which were fantastic! Lots of parmesan, butter and garlic and served with a loaf of soft bread for sopping in up. Then the fried green tomatoes with shrimp remoulade started downhill. The shrimp were very good, but the tomatoes were sliced so thinly I don't know what the breading was attached to. The seasoning was good, but there was not tomato flavor at all. My husband had the fried catfish served with hoppin john. It was a beautiful plate, but sadly the catfish was bland and the vegetables were underseasoned. I had the barbeque shrimp. Now, I've had them at Pascal Manale's in New Orleans where they were invented, so I always end up comparing. The sauce was not the same, but still very tasty. It also came with a loaf of soft bread for sopping up the sauce. The good news is that the shrimp were peeled except for the head and tail, which makes it so much easier to eat! The bad news is that the shrimp were so overcooked that they were mushy. Having cooked many shrimp myself, I suspect they cook up a big pot of shrimp and sauce and just leave it simmering until someone orders it. If they had only been freshly cooked it would have been outstanding. The sauce was so good my husband dipped is bland catfish into it! We finished by splitting the pecan tart and asked for vanilla ice cream instead of mint chip. It was delicious, but so rich! Good thing we split it because it was a challenge to eat the whole thing!
We enjoyed our Valentine's Day Dinner here and it was a fantastic experience. A wonderful place to enjoy a romantic dinner for two. Food, service and atmosphere were 1st Class.
After many meals at Acadiana, they never disappoint w/ food, booze, or service. BTW, I have not experienced better grilled oysters, other than in NOLA, than those offered at Acadiana. You have earned my continued loyalty.
Went for Valentine's Day and had the Prix-Fix pricing. The food was great and the service was fantastic. Thank you for a great time.
I took my wife for Valentine's Day dinner. They chose to have a special package menu and double the price of an entre which was a little tacky...basic meal with 1 beer and 1 Chardonnay should not have cost $148.00. All i had was a prime rib and wifey had the catfish. Food and service was great though!
The food is absolutely A1.. surprised it was a little more noisy from what I expected but that did not take away from the quality food and good atmosphere. Went for Valentine's day...highly recommended
Went for valentine's day 2018. My first visit. Food was bland, had high hopes about this place because of my friends. Not sure I'd want to return.
Best Cajun Creole southern comfort food. Nice twist on traditional faves. Full of flavor. Just A+
As a return customer, I was disappointed with the food. Not sure if it was just the new items we tried, but very disappointed.
A little slow to get us seated and on service but always amazing food!!!
I went for Mardi Gras lunch and wasn't disappointed. I end up ordering most of the appetizers because they are so good. Charbroiled oysters, deviled eggs and the "pies" are fantastic. This is the best Cajun food I have had outside of New Orleans -- very authentic. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
As always this is an excellent restaurant that has something for everyone, from healthy food to utter indulgence. One of my favorite restaurants in dc.
Service was outstanding, food was great, a little pricy compared to the places I go the sale similar foods but my lady loved it so if she loves it I love it
way too noisy!did not enjoy sitting inches away from othercustomers!-service was very slow!
did not get my cocktail until dinner arrived-thirty minutes later!-would not recommend to other dc travelers!-only good thing was we could walk from our hotel!-need to make some changes!
Great cajun/creole menus in a lovely setting. The only drawback is its proximity to the convention center. The place always seems to be overflowing with the crowd from there. It makes normal conversations difficult. Still great food and service.
The food was outstanding, and the value was very impressive. Our server was fantastic, despite half of our party arriving very late. Overall a great experience, and we will definitely be back!
The duck is legendary. Been there several times and the duck is my go to meal. Gumbo is one of the best I’ve had.
Consistently good! The gumbo was a little off this time, but the duck...was fantastic!
Great location with plenty of street parking. Friendly staff.
One thing that bothered me a lot, for a person that has been there quite often and even recommends it to friends frequently; was the fact that we could not exchange the bread for plain white rice on the BBQ Shrimp entree, it’s the small things. I end up spending $200 that night and I am still bother by the small request that wasn’t granted.
