Sunday brunch is unbeatable. Delicious, authentic, great value. Appetizer, entree, and dessert included in the price with the option to add bottomless bloody Mary’s or Mimosas for $10 more. Great vibe with live jazz during our Sunday brunch.

Outstanding service. Excellent food, and great ambiance. I went with a friend as part of our quest to find "the best Shrimp and Grits in D.C.". We ordered the Shrimp and Grits as well as the Seafood Gumbo....both were outstanding(as were the Grilled Oysters).

Cheers!

First let me say that I lived in Louisiana for 26 years, so I know Louisiana style cooking! I really wanted to like this place but it really fell short. We started with the charbroiled oysters, which were fantastic! Lots of parmesan, butter and garlic and served with a loaf of soft bread for sopping in up. Then the fried green tomatoes with shrimp remoulade started downhill. The shrimp were very good, but the tomatoes were sliced so thinly I don't know what the breading was attached to. The seasoning was good, but there was not tomato flavor at all. My husband had the fried catfish served with hoppin john. It was a beautiful plate, but sadly the catfish was bland and the vegetables were underseasoned. I had the barbeque shrimp. Now, I've had them at Pascal Manale's in New Orleans where they were invented, so I always end up comparing. The sauce was not the same, but still very tasty. It also came with a loaf of soft bread for sopping up the sauce. The good news is that the shrimp were peeled except for the head and tail, which makes it so much easier to eat! The bad news is that the shrimp were so overcooked that they were mushy. Having cooked many shrimp myself, I suspect they cook up a big pot of shrimp and sauce and just leave it simmering until someone orders it. If they had only been freshly cooked it would have been outstanding. The sauce was so good my husband dipped is bland catfish into it! We finished by splitting the pecan tart and asked for vanilla ice cream instead of mint chip. It was delicious, but so rich! Good thing we split it because it was a challenge to eat the whole thing!

I took my wife for Valentine's Day dinner. They chose to have a special package menu and double the price of an entre which was a little tacky...basic meal with 1 beer and 1 Chardonnay should not have cost $148.00. All i had was a prime rib and wifey had the catfish. Food and service was great though!

As a return customer, I was disappointed with the food. Not sure if it was just the new items we tried, but very disappointed.

I went for Mardi Gras lunch and wasn't disappointed. I end up ordering most of the appetizers because they are so good. Charbroiled oysters, deviled eggs and the "pies" are fantastic. This is the best Cajun food I have had outside of New Orleans -- very authentic. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Great cajun/creole menus in a lovely setting. The only drawback is its proximity to the convention center. The place always seems to be overflowing with the crowd from there. It makes normal conversations difficult. Still great food and service.

One thing that bothered me a lot, for a person that has been there quite often and even recommends it to friends frequently; was the fact that we could not exchange the bread for plain white rice on the BBQ Shrimp entree, it’s the small things. I end up spending $200 that night and I am still bother by the small request that wasn’t granted.

Arrived for Sunday Brunch and Acadiana lived up to expectations. The jazz band was great without being too loud. The food was amazing. Highly recommend the chargrilled oysters and Bloody Mary’s. Service was good and ambiance was reminiscent of New Orleans. Highly recommend.

My wife and I go several times a year. The food and service are always good, and the complementary biscuits to start, and chocolate "bites" to finish, make dining even better.

The quality of the food and service has really diminished over the past couple of years. This used to be my favorite lunch spot, until I got too busy to frequent it several times a week.
Today, I had the shrimp and grits; the shrimp was over cooked, the biscuits were rubbery from reheating and the service wasn't what it used to be.

I really enjoyed the biscuits with pepper jelly as well as my appetizer of fried green tomatoes, unfortunately, I did not enjoy the Shrimp Po' Boy I ordered. I understand this to be a contemporary NOLA restaurant, but the deviation from the traditional po'boy style was disappointing. With that said, I definitely want to return, I will simply order a different entree!

It was very obvious the restaurant wants to rush their guests. All the staff, including the hostess, waiters, and bussers, kept asking to clear our plates before the other diner had finished. It happened to both of us. At a neighboring table, I noticed a waiter try to clear a half-eaten salad. The food is consistently great here. Please let us chew the food and savor it.

We asked for a quiet table and were given a perfect spot in an alcove off the main dining area, which was very busy -- and pretty noisy. The service was attentive but not intrusive, and we loved both of our choices. We ordered a fairly inexpensive white wine that more than met our expectations. Overall, it was a delightful dinner.

Visited for restaurant week and the value, service, and food where unbeatable! I had the corn and crab soup, BBQ shrimp and the white chocolate bread pudding. My husband had the gumbo, BBQ shrimp and the chocolate cake. We were in heaven. The flavors were amazing, portions were good, and even the biscuits they brought out before the meal were incredible. Our waiter was on it, tending to our needs before we could part our lips to ask. Love this place and I'll be back.
