My wife and I & another couple, after reading online reviews, decided to drop by for Acadiana's tremendousJazz brunch...we were not disappointed! Our food was great, complete with exceptional service from our wonderful and extremely personable server, Brittany! The live music from the Jazz trio was excellent. We all felt that the fixed price menu was a bargain for all that you got. (There are two tiers of entrees to choose from at either $29 or $39; but with this, appetizer and dessert are included. We had a tough time deciding which entree, appetizer, & dessert to select, as Acadiana affords you a large menu in all three categories.) Drinks are very reasonable at $5, and even better at $10 for bottomless/refillable bloody Mary's & mimosas. We felt the jambalaya and blackened tilapia entrees were exceptional. The fried chicken (and pancake) was cooked perfectly with a beautiful, crip crust, but for our taste, felt it could have used a little more seasoning. The Appetizers - crab & corn soup, green tomatoes w/ shrimp rumelade, pork empnadas - all super! Dessert - pecan tart w/ ice cream, blueberry lemon bread pudding w/ blueberry ice cream - a scrumptious, perfect ending! I can't remember the last time I've felt the urge to hug our server, but that's exactly what all four of us did to Brittany upon our exit. She endeared herself to us in our short time together, and we all felt we were leaving as friends. The next time this group of Pennsylvanians visits D.C., we will most definitely stop by Acadiana for some more great food, music, atmosphere...and outstanding, friendly service!

It was close to hotel so very convenient to walk to. Got seated right away, but both was in back which takes away from experience. Service and food were good.

The food was pretty good with very tasty pork, steak and catfish dishes- though the gumbo was mediocre, being more like brown stew. Our waiter was very good and was knowledgeable of the menu. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by being seated three separate times! Even with a mostly open dining room. One attempt in the back by the kitchen, then in the middle, again still in the kitchen and finally after talking with the host we were settled at a booth near the entrance... doubt I will be back.

We had a group dinner with 9 people with one more than originally booked. They accommodated us with no complaints. The only issue we had was that they were out of the main and best food items at 7:30 PM. This required several people to make selections other than what they were wanting to choose, but the food we had was very good.

Went for Sunday jazz brunch and it was so wonderful. The musicians were really talented, and the whole restaurant had a great feel. Your meal (either $29 or $39, depending which menu you choose from) includes both an appetizer and a dessert, and some of the best biscuits Ive ever tried to start with. You can also add bottomless drinks for $10. The portions were HUGE - this was all I ate the whole day. Highly recommend the Sunday brunches.

I hosted lunch/brunch in a semi-private room this past weekend and was disappointed in the service and food. Despite having told our waiter that we needed to be served and finished with the meal within an hour it took a full hour for entrees (2nd of 3 corses) to arrive. My guests had to leave having only eaten their first corse, and the only item they took of my bill was an undercooked tilapia I complained about. When I asked about the problem, the waiter proceeded to tell me it was because my guests arrived at different times and the kitchen couldn’t handle it. I had high hopes but was disappointed.

Food was excellent, service was better. The waiter overheard us talking about someone in our party having a birthday. We turned down desert and he still brought over a birthday desert anyways. That’s service. Great job!

Unfortunately the service was pretty slow and it took over an hour to get our entrees! Our waiter apologized for the long wait saying that this was unusual but it was frustrating nonetheless to wait so long for our meals. My friend ordered the seafood gumbo and was disappointed as she was thought the sauce was going to be tomato based and it reminded her more of mole sauce. I ordered the pan roasted duck which was a huge portion. The skin was crispy which I liked but the collard greens that accompanied the dish was too salty for my taste. My recommendations would be to stick to the appetizers as the charbroiled oysters were pretty good and I heard the fried green tomatoes are a big hit.

I have been coming to Acadianas, for years & as a matter of fact, I will be having a “Business-Luncheon” there, on Thursday, the 19th of April. It’s conveniently located & everything that they do (at least when I’m there) is “first-class!”

The experience blew us away.. The personalization of the menu in celebration of my husbands birthday was such a pleasant surprise and a welcoming touch and extensive knowledge of the menu the waiter had in making recommendations made our selections a breeze. The menu had such great offerings and the food truly took me back to my visits to NOLA. I highly recommend this restaurant for a wholesome bayou experience, you will not be disappointed.

I'm a frequent guest at Acadiana, accompanied, at times, by business colleagues or by my wife. The service is always exceptional. The little touches add so much to each meal. It's not Cajun; it New Orleans raised to the next level for a DC crowd. The prices are reasonable and the food is typically quite good. The crowd is quite eclectic, but more sophisticated than any chain restaurant will typically draw. I'll be back...many more times.

In DC for an event and found Acadiana by pure luck: It was close to our hotel in the Convention Center area. The food was wonderful! Delicious crab cakes and shrimp and grits entrees. Gumbo soup to begin was very nice with a slight "kick" A very spicy Margarita was a great intro to the evening's fare! Good, prompt service, nice setting, and did I mention the Margarita?

I’ve been coming to Acadiana’s brunch every Easter, Mother’s Day and to honor my late mother’s birthday because she is from New Orleans. This Easter I bragged about the brunch and invited a friend. The service was great but ufortunately, the food was shy of being horrible. It was bland, lacked that Creolé flavor and and barely warm. It was so very disappointing. I believe this restaurant has run its course as a favorite in my life. :(

We have always loved Acadiana, especially for brunch. This Easter we once again were there and while my gumbo and eggs benedict and my wife's deviled eggs were very good as usual, my wife found her crawfish etouffee was not very good and our pecan tarts both were burned on the bottom. So while we still would recommend Acadiana, they need to be more consistent as we would hate to see the quality decline.

The food was amazing! We came here for my friends birthday. The only thing I wasn’t fond of was the “cork fee” for cake. They charge $4 per person if you bring in a cake. But, they give a complementary dessert to the birthday recipient so I wasn't so upset. Will definitely be back to try their brunch (already made the reservation).
