Acadiana Ratings and Reviews
Great service from our server JP. Others who served us were just as outstanding. Had wanted to go to this restaurant for quite awhile and I can say it was well worth the wait. The experience was made even better by it being my birthday.and the staff made sure to recognize the occasion by specially designing my desert plate. I highly recommend Acadiana for great authentic Cajun cuisine!
I’ve been to Acadiana a few times over the years, and the food is pretty consistent. My mom was with me, however, and it was her first time. Mauro, our server, was also great! Super friendly, and not overbearingly so; made awesome recommendations for my mom; and, quite hospitable.
Offering traditional Louisiana (New Orleans) dishes, you can’t go wrong with any of the options on the menu—honestly. Even better, the prices are pocket friendly. I’ll be back soon!
I was disappointed that their online menu was not what was available. I was so eager for Jambalaya by authentic chefs. It was not a menu option when I arrived. The food was good but not amazing. Loud and crowded environment. Dessert was equisite...I recommend the bread pudding.
I visit DC about three or four times a year and always try to squeeze in a dinner at Acadiana! I love the NOLA barbecue shrimp, the bourbon and wine selections! This time didn’t disappoint. I’ll be back next time because I’ll get to DC again before I get to NOLA!
Great time with a friend, comfortable booth, elegant dining room without being too fancy or stuffy, attentive and helpful and timely service from a nice and informed server. Great bourbon/rye list for me, and my friend was pleased with the by-the-glass wine selections. Delicious oysters and amazing crab cakes. Back again sometime, for sure.
Good quality and tasty food. I spent my Summers in Natchitoches, LA so it was nice to see the meatpies on their menu. The ambiance is fantastic. The duck is more than filling. The crab cakes are on the small side but slightly tall and full of meat. Your sides are just enough to make you want to order extra. All in all it was a wonderful experience.
A fine dining cajun food experience. The service was attentive, professional, and friendly. The raw oysters were plump, sweet and very fresh. Devilled eggs creative and delicious. Main course orders were Blue Catfish, Shrimp and Grits, and Ravioli. All were unique and excellent.
We went here for the jazz brunch for my mother in law's 80th birthday. She is disabled and in a wheelchair - and the staff was so thoughtful about not only how to seat us so she was comfortable, but also so that others had a clear path around her. They very much went out of their way to help us celebrate, and it was a wonderful experience. The food, needless to say, was excellent! The prix fixe brunch menu is a great value for money as well as being delicious. We will definitely be back!
Acadiana serves creative, upscale Cajun food. They start with high quality (local, organic, etc) ingredients and elevate them to haute cuisine without getting "too fancy". Chicken andouile gumbo was thick, with large amounts of meat and nicely spiced, in a perfect dark roux. Maryland Crabcakes over a creamed corn macque-choux were nicely seared with little filler. There were nice chunks of slab bacon in the macque-choux, which was subtly sweetened. Too many good choices, and too full for dessert, so will have to return!
