Birthday brunch, absolutely delicious
Awesome food and service
Service was great. Chose this place for my wife's birthday dinner. Food was exceptional. Worth the visit.
Great service and food, we will be back
An amazing meal - flavorful but not overly spiced or overpowering. Everything was in balance and prepared to perfection. The duck is off the rails good!
I hadn’t been to Acadiana in years and once I returned they did not disappoint! The food was good and the service was impeccable! The staff was so amazingly attentive and gracious!
The staff is superb! The food was delicious and what everyone says about the biscuits is right! I’d definitely return if given the opportunity.
The service was great. Drinks, including the non-alcoholic, were really good. Appetizers and biscuits were scrumptious. Great for drinks and appetizers and not really dinner. Charbroiled oysters were delicious as always.
Was a little worried when we walked in and the restaurant wasn’t packed. But this place did not disappoint! It was the most delicious Southern cuisine that wasn’t too heavy. It was so, so good. I had the chargrilled oysters, crab soup, and duck. The duck was to die for. So perfectly crispy on the outside and savory on the inside. I would highly recommend it!!
While in DC for three days attending a conference, my daughter found this restaurant on Open Table so I thought we would give it a try. We were both extremely pleased with the meal and the service. From the fresh biscuits to the pan crisp roasted duck to the beignets for dessert everything was wonderful. A special shout out to Brittany who took care of us - thank you for recommending the duck! We went to 3 nice restaurants in DC - this was our best meal!
Fabulous food with great service! Definitely will return!
Great, as always.
We were seated in our own personal dining room. It was like being in a someone's house with exceptional food. The live jazz band played "Happy Birthday" and my friend was touched. We are all so glad that we came and I plan to make this at least an annual event.
Really enjoyed our evening. The food was great and the noise level allowed us to have a great conversation.
The atmosphere and service are consistently good. My husband had the duck, very good; I had the ravioli which was a bit tough, more pasta than filling.
Very good Cajun / Creole cuisine, in a beautiful, quiet setting. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A little on the expensive side, but I don’t regret the choice by any means.
Fresh oysters were wonderful with the horseradish and cocktail sauce. The crisp of the skin added texture to the rich flavor of the duck and dirty rice with a nice sweetness from the pepper jelly.
Great menu! Love the portion sizes and the flavor. Wish I would have visited Acadiana before as this place is a gem. Well worth it!
Very nice food. Great oysters on the half shell and the presentation was really good. One disconnect, the waiter didn't know what Remoulade was (it is a new orleans restaurant so he definitely should have known), other than that though it was really good. Fantastic beignets and I never order dessert - nothing was left on the plate but my fingerprints!
Have had many delicious New Orleans-inspired meals at Acadiana, including wonderful oysters. This week I had a very nice beet salad. I also ordered the seafood gumbo which was disappointing. The broth was very thick, rich, a bit salty and consequently it overpowered the taste of the shrimp, fish and crab pieces. I had remembered Acadiana's gumbo as having more vegetables and a less overwhelming broth. Wine selections were good and overall experience was enjoyable.
You only get real Cajun food when the owner or chef are from Louisiana. Acadiana never fails to deliver. Outstanding food!
Food was great! Had a nice time! Service was fabulous
As always, the food at Acadiana was outstanding. I really, really love the chargrilled oysters. I think that may be my favorite dish from the menu! However, this particular time, the service wasn't too great. Our waiter was not very attentive and it seemed to take longer than usual to receive our meal.
This was my second time here. Everything was great, but it could have been spectacular if the server was a little more friendly and engaging.
This is a hidden gem with a fresh take on creole classics.
Three words: Meat Friggin Pies! They’re delicious.
Everything was incredible...food, service and location!
The food was great. The service was excellent.
I’m not one to drive around looking for parking. So i pulled up to the valet. Valet is $10.00. Made reservations on open table. Hostess sat us right away and even offered coat check.
I ordered a poo poo platter of appetizers. I had the charbroiled oysters which were good, some of the oysters were a bit small. The crawfish etouffee was good. The portion was perfect. I also had the trio of devil eggs which i also loved. And i had a side of greens with Benton’s bacon. I would definitely recommend having
Our waiter, the one with the pony tail took our drink orders, came back with the wine. took our meal order and we never saw him until the check came. I was looking forward to another glass of wine with my entrée but that never happened. My wife and I have been her a few times in the past, the food is always good. The service on this night was horrible, and it was not crowded.
I have dined at Acadiana many, many enjoyable times, and I have never had complaints---food, service, ambiance have always been on par. However, on this visit things did not go so well. I had reservations , but was not seated until after a 40-minute wait! I was shocked and surprised.
This really placed a tremendous damper on our dining experience with family visiting us from out of town. Once seated, the service was a little slow; however, I must add, things did kick in and the service was wonderful and our server was awesome. She and the food saved the day.
My party of 4 had a wonderful time look forward to coming back again soon. Everything was great I will share my experience with others.
Birthday! It was incredible! Best food, best wait staff'
Sunday brunch is unbeatable. Delicious, authentic, great value. Appetizer, entree, and dessert included in the price with the option to add bottomless bloody Mary’s or Mimosas for $10 more. Great vibe with live jazz during our Sunday brunch.
The drinks were great and the food was fantastic. A lot of southern favorites done right.
Outstanding service. Excellent food, and great ambiance. I went with a friend as part of our quest to find "the best Shrimp and Grits in D.C.". We ordered the Shrimp and Grits as well as the Seafood Gumbo....both were outstanding(as were the Grilled Oysters).
First let me say that I lived in Louisiana for 26 years, so I know Louisiana style cooking! I really wanted to like this place but it really fell short. We started with the charbroiled oysters, which were fantastic! Lots of parmesan, butter and garlic and served with a loaf of soft bread for sopping in up. Then the fried green tomatoes with shrimp remoulade started downhill. The shrimp were very good, but the tomatoes were sliced so thinly I don't know what the breading was attached to. The seasoning was good, but there was not tomato flavor at all. My husband had the fried catfish served with hoppin john. It was a beautiful plate, but sadly the catfish was bland and the vegetables were underseasoned. I had the barbeque shrimp. Now, I've had them at Pascal Manale's in New Orleans where they were invented, so I always end up comparing. The sauce was not the same, but still very tasty. It also came with a loaf of soft bread for sopping up the sauce. The good news is that the shrimp were peeled except for the head and tail, which makes it so much easier to eat! The bad news is that the shrimp were so overcooked that they were mushy. Having cooked many shrimp myself, I suspect they cook up a big pot of shrimp and sauce and just leave it simmering until someone orders it. If they had only been freshly cooked it would have been outstanding. The sauce was so good my husband dipped is bland catfish into it! We finished by splitting the pecan tart and asked for vanilla ice cream instead of mint chip. It was delicious, but so rich! Good thing we split it because it was a challenge to eat the whole thing!
We enjoyed our Valentine's Day Dinner here and it was a fantastic experience. A wonderful place to enjoy a romantic dinner for two. Food, service and atmosphere were 1st Class.
After many meals at Acadiana, they never disappoint w/ food, booze, or service. BTW, I have not experienced better grilled oysters, other than in NOLA, than those offered at Acadiana. You have earned my continued loyalty.
Went for Valentine's Day and had the Prix-Fix pricing. The food was great and the service was fantastic. Thank you for a great time.
