A nice meal with family. We really enjoyed this place. My cousin found the food a bit spicy, but the rest of us thought it was delicious.
We have been going to Acadia for years and still love it. However, we noticed some changes the other night. The Monday Night Entrees have gone up $5.00 which is understandable. What isn't though, was the salad that used to be yummy is made with bags of lettuce and lacked flavor. They do not offer bread anymore. It used to be served warm with salted butter. The choice for dessert with the dinner special is bread pudding and we used to be able to pay extra and get something else and they no longer offer that option. They still offer a great list of cocktails and their menu and service is still wonderful.
We had never been to Arcadia before and we were very happy with everything.
The waitress gave us great recommendations and everything was fantastic

I'm from Louisiana and that was the best Gumbo I've had outta a restaurant, no matter the location. It is a Portland fancy fusion look to Cajun on the presentation but the place is killer and by far I eaten at in Portland.
Food not as good as on several prior visits
This word is probably used too often but the food here was absolutely delicious! We came during Portland Dining month and it did not disappoint. Service was very attentive, food came out in what seemed like a choreographed dance. Will definitely come again!
Excellent service, the food is great quality and authenticity, the selection isn’t bad... the ambience is quite nice, nothing extraordinary but fitting the individual neighborhood establishment character. Wine selection is so-so, amazing brandy selection. Would return to eat (and drink) again.

Went the final Friday of dining month because we wanted to get one more desired location in! The only issue was the salad as it was served without dressing. When we asked the server, we were told it was “lightly dressed”’yet we found no evidence. Tables near us were also requesting dressing. Everything else was wonderful! Oops to back of the house because it happens on a busy night and KUDOS overall. We’ll be back for sure!
The staff is always amazing, as is the food. Acadia is our favorite date night location.

Our first visit to Acadia thanks to Portland Dining Month. We ordered the catfish with cabbage and shrimp etouffe; there was no choice for salad and dessert. The mains were good as was the bread pudding dessert; the salad (greens with chopped egg) was spare and could have used more dressing, plus we were not offered pepper by our server. The service was average and we had to wait over 10 minutes for decaf coffee after our desserts were delivered. Not sure if we will return.
We had the Portland dinning month menu. It was fantastic. So yummy! A wonderful night out!
I have loved this restaurant since it opened. The food is always terrific. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It is my favorite restaurant in Portland. Acadia is my go to place for special occasions with special people!

Good food overall, the shrimp appetizer was okay but nothing special. The main courses were good but the bread pudding was excellent and one of the best we’ve ever had.

The Jambalaya was absolutely the best I have had in Portland. Shrimp Creole was pretty good as well. Gnocchi was disappointing though. The quantities for the Portland Dining Month offerings weren't skimpy for a (pleasant) change. The bartender/host was happy to add an extra punch of spice to cocktails, keeping with the Cajun theme of the place. Overall, a very positive experience.

Great Portland Dining Month experience! I had the shrimp creole which was delicious - just enough heat to it. My DH had the jambalaya which was nice and smokey. They were able to accommodate my pickiness and changed the vinaigrette on the salad, which is much appreciated. But my favorite was the sauce that came with the hush puppies - orange and horseradish. Who knew?? Will definitely be back!
Food was wonderful, server was helpful. Very busy night, they had our table ready on time and were prompt.
Looked mildly understaffed for waitstaff (if they had one more person I think that would have helped).
Otherwise, we cannot wait to go back. The staff, food, and venue are outstanding.

It was lovely--the best New Orleans food in Portland. We had a comfortable table in a quiet corner, with very attentive service. The gumbo and shrimp creole are my favorites. Many thanks.

Food was excellent, just a pro tip though... when you order crab, they just deep fry the crab, they don’t clean it or shell it, so you need to do that from the table.
I’ll defin be going back, the sauces taste like the real deal!

Authentic New Orleans/creole food. Yummy flavors that are hard to find in PDX - so you’ll crave again. Cute place for dinner w girlfriends or a date.
We first tried Acadia last year during Portland dining month. The food is amazing, so we came back this year. We first started with the New Orleans BBQ Shrimp (not on the Portland Dining Month menu). This is one of the best dishes I have ever had. The sauce/gravy over the shrimp I could eat with a spoon it is so good. The dressing on the green salad is just light and flavorful, and with the egg on it, very good. This year my husband had the smoked pork cheeks in the creamy cheese grits, while I had the catfish. Both were great. The flavors just so yummy. The crust on the catfish stayed crunchy through the entire meal and was just plain good. Our only disappointment of the evening was the bread pudding. We so had our sights set on the bread pudding with the bourbon sauce, but they were serving a king cake version of bread pudding. It was still really good, the other one is amazing. If Acadia were closer to us we would go on a regular basis as it's a great spot, the service is wonderful and just an overall enjoyable experience.
I ordered the étouffée and a sazerac. Both were good, but I expected a bit more for a dish that costs $36.
I enjoyed the étouffée, but I think I prefer the thicker and more rich version they serve at Jake’s. The included soft shell crab was also good, though I was disappointed that mine was missing one of it’s claws (i.e. my favorite part).
Another wonderful meal. This has become a tradition for us to dine at Acadia on Fat Tuesday.
Music was too loud, but otherwise it was an excellent experience.
We went there for Fat Tuesday and the food was good. The barbecue shrimp was my favorite. I did feel that the server pushed us a little bit to get done because there was a reservation behind us. It kind of took away from the evening.
