I will not be back the food was undercooked, bland and the chef licked his fingers tasting the food and didn’t wash his hands. He proceeded to prepare more food. I was completely grossed out. Save your money. It’s not worth getting sick over. I was here to visit NY and was so disappointed. I was expecting flavor but it was the most basic food ever!

The fish dishes were great, as were the deserts and the great lemonades. The wait staff was wonderful. This remains the best restaurant in the 57th street corridor almost every time.

great place, great food. love the fresh modern design and the focused menu. only issue was with so many hard surfaces to the architecture, there is no where for the sound to go, so it was incredibly loud and challenging to have a conversation with everyone at the table.

The food and service in the Acadia Restaurant are both excellent to superb. We would have rated the restaurant higher were it not for the noise level in the restaurant. The music volume was far too high, which made conversation difficult to impossible. As a result, most customers had to raise their voices to be heard over the music level, which in turn raised the noise level in the restaurant even more. The end result was that we had serious challenges trying to conduct a conversation at our booth at one end of the restaurant, away from the entrance. Because of the noise levels, it was not possible to tell the degree to which the lack of or ineffectiveness of any sound moderation measures affected the overall problem. The overall sound level was unacceptable. The ambience rating would have been higher except for the noise levels. Recommend having someone look at the problem and determine how the noise levels can be reduced significantly, whether by internal rearrangement or by the use of sound-absorbing materials — or both.

Distressed to discover that our formerly favorite lunch place had recently closed, we sprinted across the street to try Acadia. We were not disappointed. Attractive room with an interesting view of the kitchen, we had a delightful, tasty meal - salad, hummus, sandwich, salmon kebab. Our first server was a total goofball (wrong drink order, incorrect charges, etc.) but her colleagues made up for it by being extremely helpful and efficient. Too soon to say that Acadia is our new favorite, but we’ll definitely give it another go.

We had to modify our reservations a couple of times and Acadia was VERY accomodating. The bar service wait staff was very friendly and professional, too. Worth the ‘Happy Hour’ low prices before 6pm. We weren’t aware that Acadia is attached to a hotel, so that may explain why it’s a bit underwhelming overall. We had the lamb, the salmon shish, Greek Salad… but basically, it’s not a very creative menu selection, prices are pretty high for the portions and we had higher expectations for the location (corner of 57th & 6th Ave). Plus, the vibe’ is just loud…doubtful we’ll be repeat customers, which is disappointing bc we love Mediterranean food!
