Welcome to AC Hotel by Marriott® Manchester Salford Quays, situated at the heart of Salford quays and on the doorstep of Manchester United’s Old Trafford. Head chef Ferdinand creates an eclectic mix of tapas & small plates alongside freshly prepared favourites and mouth-watering desserts to indulge on. Afternoon tea with a Spanish twist is also a favourite of our regular guests, washed down with a glass of prosecco.     No table reserved even though I had booked via OpenTable and the service at the bar and for food was very poor. Food was nice but basic bar snacks. Table not cleared away. I had to ask barman if he was serving as he was ignoring me.

    We had booked a table for 7pm for me and my partner. The booking asked for a occasion so I put down ‘ date ‘ thinking we would have a prepared table to add but I may of been expecting a bit to much. Lady behind the bar was very confused why we were there and had to say a couple times we have a booking for food at 7pm. We suspected this was her first day. We were sat down in the middle of the restaurant bit, the menu wasn’t really explained, if we go to the bar or if we are served at the table. Lovely seating area, quiet and you could easily have a relaxing meal here. We did not stay for our meal as there was not much of a selection compared to the menu I was emailed.

    Decent choice, nice environment and reasonable price. Will use for business type lunches for collegues, suppliers and customers.

    Calamari starter overcooked. Burger main sat under the heat lamp for too long, but replacement was very tasty.

    Visited for 23rd dec evening meal as were residents .. very quiet so I presume skeleton staff .. ordered prawn pasta and garlic bread .. partner burger .. he enjoyed the burger .. the pasta was tasty but not luke warm .. garlic bread was 2 tiny pieces of French stick for 6 pounds and was cold .. only reason we didn’t complain was the lovely friendly red haired bar maid who made up for it .. wouldn’t eat again here by choice

    Food not a bad price for a hotel, nice quality, service great, lovely staff. Didn't have breakfast as I think it is slightly expensive

    I went for pre show dinner and found it very convenient nearby the Lowry. There are roadworks just outside the hotel at present so it didn’t look great from the outside, but the interior is fresh and modern. Very comfortable dining and really lovely staff. The tapas was tasty and beautifully served. It made a nice change from the eateries close by to the theatre and was only a 12 minute walk along the canals- which was also very pleasant! I would go again.
