   Great ambience with exceptional service. The food was delicious! We ordered an entree of halibut and small plates ( butter lettuce salad, oysters and scallops). Presentation, food quality and over deliciousness were 5 star! I ordered the coconut sorbet w/lime for dessert. Perfect! Not crowded at 7:00 pm. weeknight.

   Abrazo is terrific, we loved our dinner and had a very enjoyable experience. The decor and lighting are lovely, server was knowledgeable and friendly and every dish was delicious.

   Abrazo is a hidden gem in the Russian Hill neighborhood. The food was fantastic and delicious with moderate portions. We started with grilled octopus and the house cured salmon. Then we had the exquisite lamb shank and the half-roasted chicken entrees. All tasted amazing. Reservations are almost a must on a Saturday as it's a smaller venue. Amanda our server was excellent and attentive.

   Although a neighborhood gem - definitely worthy of a trip across town. Food is always excellent and choices are varied. Chef/owner is very visible - welcoming & checking in on diners. Service & ambience are lovely.

   Abrazo continues to deliver great food and service and its consistency is to be admired. This time I came with several friends, and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves, commenting on how good the various dishes we had, including the paella, were. Excellent deserts too.

   First time here and it was such a cute vibe! Great place for all occasions and they have a secret room in the back with more seating. Service was great and very welcoming. I was able to call and push back our reservations due to traffic without any issues. Our server was attentive and quick. Croquettes - cute little fried balls of creamy goodness. Cutest presentation too! Bone marrow - first attempt came to us undercooked but they took it back quickly without hesitation. The second attempt was so good and had lots of marrow! Pork pâté - those who like olives will enjoy this more than I did (personal preference!) The olive taste was a bit strong for me as I was hoping to taste more of the pork pâté itself. Braised lamb shank - this thing was pretty massive and glad it was shared! Super tender and the acidity from the tomatoes brought it all together. It was incredibly warming and the perfect autumn dish. Their grilled bread with the starters were perfect! We did not order drinks or dessert due to time restraints. Would dine here again. Bring a friend or two and try a variety of their starters and share a main. It was the perfect amount of food for two of us.

    Fantastic experience all around! I originally saw Abrazo while riding the Hyde cable car past it a couple of years ago (pre-pandemic) and I have been meaning to try it out for a long time. I don't live in the neighborhood though (I'm way down in the Southwest corner of SF), so it took a long time to finally make it happen. We chose a Wednesday night, and I rode the #45 bus from downtown (it drops you off right at Abrazo), and my wife met me there and found rock-star parking right in front on Hyde St. So, we were feeling lucky (and positive) from the very beginning. We had scheduled an early reservation at 6:15pm and were the first customers there. The staff greeted us as we walked in and made us instantly feel at home. We had a glass of wine before we sat for dinner and got some great wine advice. They let us taste a couple of the Spanish wines that we were unfamiliar with at no charge, and we settled on 6 small plates and a bottle of excellent Spanish white wine. The food was fantastic, artfully displayed, arrived promptly and they were great about keeping all the dairy products (cream, cheese, etc.) on the sides once we warned them of my wife's allergy. As the evening progressed, more and more people arrived, and the noise gradually grew, but it never got loud enough to make conversation hard. I highly recommend Abrazo and will be returning again soon. It's totally worth the trip across town.

    Abrazo is a wonderful restaurant. The menu is small as it should be. That way you know everything on the menu is excellent. And it was. The fresh oysters were good. The potato with chicken soup was outstanding. Don’t miss that one! It’s a great bowl of soup, unique and flavorful! The pork pate was great and a solid portion for two. The grilled persimmons salad was tasty. And the paella and petrale sole entree were perfect. We also liked the cheesecake and ice cream desserts. We say Bravo to Abrazo!

    Went to dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We had the octopus and brad for appetizers which were both fantastic. Wife had the piaea and I had the chicken and also great choices. The staff followed my note when making the reservation for a special dessert request. Overall great place will come agian.

    The four of us each enjoyed our menu selections tremendously. We sat in the back room and it was cozy and did not feel crowded. The staff that took care of us were cordial and friendly. I look forward to my next visit.

    this was authentic spanish food. service was outstanding ( thanks Amanda). We me the chef since it was closing time. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a local vibe of the neighborhood.

    We love Abrazo. It’s one of our favorite go to week night or special occasion places. The food is always amazing- the fusion of flavors is on another level. Chef Michael has pride in his restaurant and is always welcoming us at the front door or dropping by our table to say hello. Last night we had Faccundo as our server who was so welcoming and a favorite to my younger daughter.

I have 2 window tables for parties of 4, I had 10 requests for those tables on Saturday when you were here. I do my best to accommodate all requests but sometimes it is impossible.     This is one of my favorite restaurants in Russian Hill. The food is great and the staff is warm and hospitable. I always have to order the roasted carrots and the salad with nectarines and duck. We shared the lamb shank, paella, and pork loin entrees and loved all 3. Their sangria is fresh and really refreshing on a warm day -- not too sweet, as in many places. It's a treat to come here when I am in SF, now that I have moved away from the neighborhood.
