À propos de ce restaurant

  • Idéal pour les plus belles vues
  • Innovant
  • La perle du quartier
We have been providing Moroccan-style hospitality and entertainment since April 2010 in Alameda. Our restaurant has a beautiful view of the San Francisco Bay, which is particularly spectacular at sunset.

Abigail's is one of a kind. Food is wonderful, service is warm and unobtrusive. Bonus: waterfront, belly dancing (Saturday), and BYOB! So glad I found this place. Great for groups, just make a reservation.

Great fun, as usual. I wish they open for dinner more often.

Went with my wife. It perfectly fit our idea of a family-run, Alameda-style moroccan restaurant. Food was great, atmosphere was Alameda-fam style which is the opposite of pretentious. Just warm, friendly, casual, chill, easy, delicious and fun.

Love this place- prix fixe for Sat. night dinner w/ belly dancer a great deal. Also, terrific for lunch weekdays - quiet, great view and really good food.

My husband found this place on the Net - we were looking for a local place for date. Saturday is the only day that Abigail's serves dinner. As soon as the reservation was made, I got a call from the Owner and he told me we can bring our own wine, since they do not serve alcohol. We went in with an open mind, not knowing what to expect. They served a fixed-price dinner on Saturday, with a couple of entree choices. The food was very tasty, authentic, and good. The owners were very personable. And they had belly dancing on Saturday night, with customer participation. I joined in, and had a great time. The only thing, I think, can improve the dining experience there is to have some flat bread with the dinner. It was more like eating at someone's home than at a restaurant - the couple in charge made us feel welcome and were very attentive. We definitely will be back for some more authentic Moroccan food!

This was an interesting find for something different to do. We never knew this place existed. It was very quiet and in a very different part of Alameda along the water. Only 2 other tables besides ours on a Saturday night. This was a true family restaurant with very friendly owners and their young daughter, whom the restaurant was named after. The woman cooks all the food herself and the husband visits with guests.... he liked to tell each man who came in what actor they look like! There was a belly dancer toward the end of our meal with a great show. She had guests from each table come up to dance with her separately. My husband and I had fun. Very intimate and homey feel. The food was very homemade tasting and the cookies for dessert and sweet mint tea were amazing. Was a little awkward at first and quiet but by the end of the night, we had had a great time. Only downfall is that the building seems a little old and outdated and smelled a little like smoke.

WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! We must have gone on a bad night, because this place has good reviews, but our experience--on a Saturday night, mind you--was canned salad (a spoon of canned beets, a spoon of canned green beans, a spoon of canned corn, some boiled red potatoes). The restaurant opens at 6; we had 6:30 reservations and showed up to an empty restaurant. Two little girls greeted us with "What are you doing here?" and then "Do you have a reservation?" Went back behind the curtain that separates the kitchen from the dining room; came back and told us to sit anywhere (where were the adults?). Tacky decor and dishes. Owner waiting on tables dressed like he works at a gas station. Boxed couscous and baby carrots from the bag with the chicken, which was good. One cookie and half a glass of sugary tea, served by the cook, dressed in apron and plastic gloves. Belly dancer music from a big screen t.v. set to static. Filthy business-park bathrooms. Kitchen behind a curtain. In all fairness, the party of 20 that finally showed up seemed to be having fun. But I suspect they would be having fun anywhere. Really, I am so very disappointed. I was really looking forward to meat spiced with fruit and nuts, and sitting on pillows and stuff. This was just...sad. They need to rethink things and maybe just stick with the deli. The DEFINITELY need to make it a single-seating event, so you don't show up too early and then wait and wait and wait. And they need to dress up a little, and clean the glasses. Ugh.

Excellent home-style food. Lovely owners. However, the Belly dancer was a negative....she Made the restaurant seem sleazy, like a strip joint. We would have Preferred just music instead.
