So gather. Trust us. Step just a little outside your comfort zone. And enjoy food without order or rules.
My favorite go to in the south bay. Sadly, Sunday was their last day. I heard they'll be re- opening in a new location in the future. Let's hope so!
Abigaile is an excellent restaurant with a creative chef. Unfortunately it is closing this week. It was one of my favorites.
Understaffed and took an hour to get our food.
Even though we were the first people to be seated when they opened, the service was extremely slow and poor quality. Our server rarely came to check on us; so we were left with empty drinks and no water. Several of our dishes also came out cold. Our server, Cas, was very abrupt and rude. Just because you use nice words like ma'am, doesn't necessarily mean you're being nice. Unfortunately, we all left feeling frustrated.
Bartender was horrible. Refused to make the specialty drinks that were on the menu because they took too long. There were 3 people at the bar.
Always a great place to go... i have nt been in years they have a daily happy hour at the bar
Christmas Eve. Kitchen was slow. Server was great however two of our three meals came out a good 3-4 minutes ahead of the third. When the last meal was served -a steak- it was burned. Server responded heroically but tough to undo the disappointment.
The rest of the food was very good.
I got the impression the kitchen was overrun which can happen on a holiday. Probably understaffed thanks to California’s ridiculous minimum wage. Tough to make ends meet operating a restaurant these days.
Great meal but it got a bit loud.
The food was excellent, creative and very well presented. Unfortunately, service was very bad, though staff was friendly, just not attentive.
Always enjoy Abigaile’s. Just quality nice everything. We have been several times by ourselves or with groups and everyone has enjoyed everything every time!
The brunch at Abigaile is absolutely fantastic. Amazingly creative menu with savory and sweet options. The only downside of this place is that it’s super loud inside.
Our food and service were great; they have a very creative and tasty menu. Standout dishes from Fall 2019 menu: poached pear salad and Lebanese lamb with hummus. But I can't recommend the restaurant if you want to have a good conversation. By 7PM, the noise level was deafening, and we were literally yelling at each other across the table. We changed our minds about ordering dessert because the environment was so unpleasant, and the wait staff was slammed at that point of the evening.
We enjoyed our experience. The food was yummy, side fries not very good, table was nice - I wish the overhead lights were dimmed earlier in the evening (we arrived early in the evening, but with the sun setting earlier, the first hour or so it was like dining in an office!) service was good, burger, short ribs, brussels sprouts, all yummy. Hostess was hard to d=find when we entered - no one to greet us, but it was early - probably 5:15
Brought an out of town family member to dinner. We both really enjoyed the food, ambiance and service.
Dinner was great. The short rib was very tasty. Fish and Chips with the curry tartar sauce was great! Vibe was chill. Service was good. We would definitely go back!
It was difficult to have a conversation with Four if at the table. Service was very friendly and food was good.
Won’t be back!
Food is good, but the service is terrible. Met at the door by kids not that interested, especially when we left.... hardly looked up for the phone they were playing with. I hate places that try and take your food before you’ve stopped chewing (with food still on the plate!) and it happened through every dish! Restaurants in HB have all gone down hill. Much better options in MB and RV. Won’t be rushing back.
Hadn’t been in a while and found the food and service excellent .
My daughter got engaged at Abigaile so we wanted to try it. We brought friends to dinner. I apologized to them after dinner for my choice of restaurants. It was really average and very expensive. It was so loud, you couldn’t hear the person across the table. My Short Rib had quite a bit of fat to dig around and my friend didn’t eat but a few bites of her Rib Eye. The charcuterie tray was very small and $25. I had two cocktails and while they tasted good, they were tiny and very expensive; even the glass was small. Our server was just okay. It was a$400.00 dinner for 4 and not worth it.
We had a great time at Abigaile's. A good assortment of wines and cocktails was available. The menu provided lots of options for starters and entrees and all were prepared to perfection. Our server was always responsive and friendly. We will return soon.
Our waiter was fantastic
The tasting menu with pairing was fabulous
Will definitely go there again
We were dining there for a friends birthday. The key lime pie was the worst. Also the menu on the website was a lie.
This used to be one of our favorite spots, over the past year/ year and half, the service has gone down dramatically. We had to flag someone down to order everytime. We had 3 different waiters at three different times. We ordered a meal without shrimp and it came with shrimp or which my husband can’t eat, and they blamed him for not telling them he had an allergy, even though it wasn’t listed in the ingredients. They didn’t comp it either. They were so rude about it. I tried a bite, and ate a mussel that “had gone bad”.... the whole night was awful. Unfortunately we won’t be returning unless headed directly upstairs for cocktails and sunset.
Didn’t care for the flavors in the dinners.
One of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. It was even more unfortunate because we were celebrating my daughter’s Birthday. Our server totally forgot about us, and I placed a cake order with the Manager, who also forgot about us. The service was so BAD, it was almost comical. Although he comped a few items, I would have been happy to pay for an excellent experience. Can’t even comment on the food in light of the terrible staff. Only competent person we encountered was the bus boy! He should actually find a better place to work, poor guy. It’s a shame because I have thrown a rooftop party here in the past and had such a great experience, prompting me to select this restaurant for my daughter’s Birthday! NEVER going back to Abigails.
Everything was perfect except the ocean view. Wasn't much of a view. The server was off a little, but we still had a great time. Can't wait to come back and try some other dishes. Fried chicken and the spaghetti was delicious. Will be back soon. Didn't like that the server didn't tell us happy hour was only at the bar.
The food was delicious. The Fried Cauliflower was one of the best things I have ever tasted. How the chef made it like that is beyond me. So Good! The short rib dish was amazing too. My wife and I came here on a date night. She is a very selective eater and high high standards. We will be back again for sure.
Great food and fun vibe
The food was amazing. The ambiance was beautiful and romantic. Servers were great. 10/10 recommend!!
The food was way better than it looked in the yelp photos. It was also very filling. As a table for 4, we got 2 appetizers and 7 shareable tapas style plates and we didn’t finish it. The wine list was small but quality so not disappointed there. Would 100% go back. Outdoor seating was quieter than indoor and a great atmosphere.
We were in a rush to see a show
Dinner was good .we told servers but we still needed to order and eat more quickly than is enjoyable to relax and eat
Great food, very innovative
Thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Good beer, creative dishes well prepared
We took a party of 7 here for lunch to celebrate my boyfriend’s 30th. Really recommend the brunch! It was a great deal and we had so many tasty leftovers. The view on the second floor was amazing! Looking forward to coming back.
The food was really excellent except for the dessert. We ordered the key lime pie. It had an artificial color and had a strong refrigerator taste. I told the waiter we did not like it but he charged us for the dessert anyways.
The food was excellent, but the service was the worst that I ever experienced at a restaurant. Five different waiters. I asked for a refill on my drink seven times and was never refilled. Had to go inside and ask for the check four times, then waited twenty more minutes for my credit card back. Had to go in again twice and ask for credit card back and receipt. The food was great, but I will never return to this place. Worst vacation meal experience ever with my family.
Beautiful sunset views and awesome atmosphere! Food was great, and staff was helpful and quick.
The outdoor patio is beautiful and serene, which is a sharp contrast to the indoor dining room that has popular music playing awkwardly loud.
However, the amazing food makes up for everything. If you don’t get the Cheese Puffs, you’ll regret it!!!!
servers kept coming to take out our plates that still had a half the food in. used to be my favorite place. too sad
