   I have eaten at Abe and Louie’s many times. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had there. One of my friends had to ask for a soup spoon three times before she finally got it. The attention to detail was just not the same as in my many previous visits. The salad I ordered wasn’t the same either. If this had been my first visit there I would not be returning.

   The service varied from indifferent to incompetent. In addition, it was surprising that a restaurant like this had no one present who knew anything about wine. The person they offered knew very little about wine. He then proceeded to make a recommendation which we ignored because we knew it was worthless. He then proceeded to present the red wine we ordered with the wine in a state of shock because it was presented far too cold. It was not drinkable during the appetizer course and did not become drinkable until well into the main course. They repeatedly delivered food to the wrong person. I did not want steak and asked if the pasta dish would be well prepared. The server stated it was a very popular dish and is well prepared. It was not, the pasta was not hot which is not all that surprising considering the sauce was delivered on the side and not mixed into the pasta. The result, I was left to do the pasta and sauce mixing. The server was not interested in doing it. Add to that the room temperature was not well controlled causing the two women in our four top to eat as wrapped up as they could get. So of the four mains one diner enjoyed a ribeye steak. The other two shared a rubbery strip steak for $95. All and all, it was a bad experience with a staff that gave the impression “whatever”.

   Although I don’t eat meat I enjoyed the salmon and side dishes. My family thought the steaks were delicious. Abe & Louie’s is a beautifully decorated restaurant with tablecloths! Expensive but worth the experience.

   Excellent food but tables bunched tightly together so noise was a problem
