Abbott's is definitely the new special occasion location in Everett. The food is excellent, restaurant quiet, and ambience romantic. I had the beef short ribs, and my wife had the stuffed chicken. Both were excellent, as well as the crab dip we had beforehand. The service was also outstanding. It's not the place you'll go to every week, but when you want to celebrate, it's perfect.
Abbotts is just what Everett needed, a small steakhouse with excellent food and atmosphere. The wait staff was friendly and helpful, the specials were awesome and the food was excellent. I hope Abbotts stays around for a long long time.
Black cod special was amazing. Hidden gem in Everett.
My husband and I had an enjoyable dinner experience on Friday night. Overall, the food was delicious. The only misstep was that I should have upgraded my Steak Oscar from a sirloin steak to a filet mignon, when I was given the option. The sirloin was a bit tough and grisly, although tasty. The sauce on the other hand, was a perfectly done Béarnaise with the crab and asparagus. My husband had the wonderful black cod special. Our server, Scott, was the perfect mix of being friendly and professional. His wine recommendations were right on. We will definitely go to Abbott's again. We're also fans of Buck's, which is owned by the same owner/chef as Abbott's.
Neighborhood friends went for a dinner out. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks! Venue is small but intimate, so able to hold steady conversations :) Will return!
This was our first visit to Abbott's and we were very happy. I love how they have preserved the character of the older building. We started with the Lobster Bisque special, but unfortunately had to send it back because it was way too salty. Which was a bummer, because despite the saltiness, you could taste that the soup would have been delicious without all the salt. The rest of our meal was fantastic. We ordered the Coquilles Saint Jacques (scallops) which were cooked perfectly, followed by the New York Steak au Poivre which was wonderful. The flavors and preparation were spot on. We ended our evening with Chocolate Cake - YUM!
Throughout the evening one thing was very clear, the service at Abbott's is top notch! Our server was attentive, yet discrete. We will definitely be back!
The bread, salad, and dessert was good. However, I ordered Fettuccine Carbonara and it had large pepper chunks in it (and I hate pepper). The menu is too small and it is overpriced. You have to pay extra for salad and a side dish, which pushes the cost up. Although we enjoyed ourselves, we will not return.
First time at Abbott's and will be back....enjoyed the wait people ... ambiance was great for a romantic dinner... food was prepared and served to enhance the experience ... Scott , you were great helping us on deciding on our delicious meal! :)
This was our first to Abbott’s. My wife and I dine out a lot. We consider ourselves foodies and are comfortable paying for fine dinning. We started with a bottle of red wine and a scallop appetizer which was great. My wife ordered the fillet and I had the New York steak. Both entries were prepare as ordered and tasted wonderful. We ended the meal with their seven layer cake with a scoop of ice cream which was terrific and was a perfect ending to a very nice dining experience. The added benefit is that this restaurant was as good as anything you could find in Seattle without the hassle of driving an hour into the city. If you desire a fine dinning experience and can afford the price point, Abbott’s is a must try in Everett.
The best meal we've had in a long time. Well worth the price! I got the Halibut and my husband got a steak. Both meals, along with the sides, where cooked to perfection. We were too full for desert, but the desert menu looked delicious. Will definitely be going back soon.
A wonderful dinner. Scallop appetizer was perfect. Swordfish and filet mignon delicious. Seven layer choclate cake, great. Friendly staff. Looking forward to next visit.
Wonderful Valentines dinner with my wife. She got the steak, i got the lobster. We shared and had Surf and Turf, excellent meal...
We read about this being the most expensive place in Everett and that we should expect to spend $200 for the night. We did spend $200, but that was after a really good bottle of wine and desert. Especially for a special occasion it was not out of line. My wife said she thought her filet mignon was the best meal she has ever had. I get out more. My pepper encrusted New York steak was really great. We will go back but probably only for special occasions.
I understand this is a newer restaurant and our experience was great. Food was great and I liked the cozyness of this place.
We went with friends for our Anniversary and it was wonderful. We picked a very busy night, so the service was a bit slow, lots of other customrers, but we weren't in a hurry. The food was great, good selections and a veriety of prices. Everyone was pleased with their selection. Only one negative comment, we were seated in the back room, very nice, however for a short time someone, the staff, was grinding something behind the curtin close by, and it was very distracting for all of us in that room. It lasted for about 5 miniutes or so and then it stopped. We deffinately will go back again!
The food, ambiance & staff are wonderful. It was a limited Valentine's Day menu but the tenderloin & lobster were well prepared & tasty. Our waitress was great, her name was Tammy. The only drawback was the length of time it took to get our entrée, 45 minutes. I would say that perhaps another week night would have been a better choice.
Had great expectations for this place. It was okay -- not great and not a place we'd go racing back to. My husband's spinach salad was VERY OVERDRESSED! Had at least 1/4 cup of dressing on it... he had to push it all to the side in order to eat it. My wedge salad was advertised to have bay shrimp on it. I had ONE whole one and ONE partial one.
We both had rack of lamb - both of us had ordered it medium rare. My husbands's was fine -- mine was overdone and had to be sent back to the kitchen. I waited at least 15 minutes for another one to arrive. Of course, by then my husband was done with his meal. Given it was Valentine's Day we were being much more lenient in our opinions however the waiter didn't offer me a second drink, or more bread or ANYTHING whilst I waited for my food.
The lamb was okay. It was covered with dijon mustard and parmesan and it rather hid the taste of the meat. It would not be something I would order again.
We hope this place can improve and stay in the neighborhood as this area needs more upscale restaurants. It was very busy for the holiday so hopefully that "buzz" will continue as this place improves their meals and service. We did feel that perhaps Valentine's Evening was not the best time to be judging a newer restaurant ... but not sure we will return.
Scallops were great! New York steak was tough. My wife’s salmon was unremarkable.
After reading the reviews I was excited to have our Valentines dinner date at this location. I was very disappointed in the food, and cost. I don't mind paying more for a meal that taste amazing, but nothing tasted "really" good, or anything I would ever try again for the price we paid. It was all pretty bland and over cooked. I think because of the special night things might have been prepped early on and then heated up for the dinners.
On another note, our waitress was very nice, all the staff was really nice as well, and I loved the atmosphere.
I would like to try it again to see if it is better on a night that isn't a special occasion.
Best dining in Everett area. Over the top quality at reasonable prices. Ambience was excellent.
My wife and I ate dinner earlier tonight and the meal were outstanding. The staff are very friendly and very professional. I highly recommend this place for a quiet and candle light dinner.
Loved the food, ambience, drinks and service. Food and specialty cocktails over-priced.
Food was perfect, atmosphere was very pleasant, but it isn't cheap.
Beautiful place , good food , good service .
We were having my birthday dinner there with friends and the staff we Amazing and the food was wonderful!
My husband and I just love this place!
We tell everyone we know about the great atmosphere, food and service!
The menu is in test mode, as they are in the process of doing a "soft opening", but the food was delicious. My hubby had the prime rib, and I had the swordfish. The wait staff was attentive, but not obtrusive, and friendly.
We shared the lemon cake for dessert, with raspberry sauce, which was deliciously fresh and surprisingly light and crisp. It was a perfect meal, satisfying and just, well, right!
Great food. Prices as expected. Wine list could be better. Service good but for the number of patrons could have been faster.
We started with the crab dip appetizer which was very tasty and certainly could have been enough for four. My husband ordered the short ribs. They were very tender and delicious. I had the black cod special with steamed bok choy. I thought the fish was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed the soy-miso sauce. We splurged on two deserts due to indecision and both were excellent. We had the creme brute cheesecake and the lemon cake. We enjoyed our experience so much that we made reservations for Valentine's Day while we were there- will save room for the chocolate cake.
This is such a great addition to the Everett restaurant scene!! Upscale, lovely venue with great service and fantastic food! We'll be back!
Food and service were excellent. Very relaxed and enjoyable even on New Years Eve.
Great steaks! Excellent addition to fine dining in Everett.
It was ok. I just wouldn't put it at the top of my recommendations. Drinks were less than ok. I'll give them another try in a few months see how it goes before I take them off my list.
The appetizers were very tasty, martini was just right and the filet was perfect! Service was timely but not intrusive. They are ramping up at Abbots and is a special place for a white table cloth dining in Everett for business or pleasure.
Just opened 4 weeks ago with Grand Opening coming after New Years. Exceptional Chef, creative dishes, great steaks, seafood and more! You must try it!
Excellent in all respects. A great addition to South Snohomish fine dining.
Fabulous food as always from Chef James. Great wine selection. We started off our dinner with Caesar salads and the warm spinach salad. Several people had the Beef Short Ribs. Huge portions. Tasted great. Dinner came with duchess potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Another person in our party had the Bacchus Chicken stuffed with lobster in a caper sauce. Fabulous! I had the filet. Loved it! To cap off our dinner, we shared a slice of seven layer chocolate cake. Devine! If you love chocolate, this is a must! I highly recommend this restaurant. We definitely will be back.
This place is exactly what Everett needed! Finally a true "Fine Dining" experience. The wait staff was exceptional, the appetizers ( scallops) were decadent. Superb short ribs, Bacchus chicken, and the salads ( grilled romaine and the wedge ) were the best we have tasted! Can't wait to go back!
Great new finer dining option that Everett has needed. Food and service were both excellent.
We really want to support new local businesses, and will return to the restaurant. We felt the prices were very high for Everett. The steak was not very flavorful, the potatoes were lukewarm, and the vegetables were bland. All of these things can be corrected, and probably will be given the wonderful leadership of the owners. The potatoes could be served in a separate hot ramekin to make certain that they are hot, and perhaps a single type vegetable could be served to ensure proper cooking.
