   Staff very welcoming and accommodating, the food was lovely and a good price. The room lacked some ambiance but overall we had a lovely meal!

   All the dishes were delicious, original and beautifully presented. Couldn’t fault the food in any way. Interesting veggie choices. Good variety and range on the menu. My mother (who is 86 and tired after a long car journey) asked for a half portion but it wasn’t possible. (Why - it seems such a shame to waste good food?) we would have paid for a whole portion. Still, that was a small niggle. The food was lovely and the staff were very kind and friendly.

   Really excellent meal. The almond and sultana tartlet with ice cream & cream was especially good. Would highly recommend.

   The food was excellent and the mulled wine was very welcome. The dining room was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Our only complaint was that the room was cold and they didn't have any additional heaters. We were warmly dressed but even so, it was chilly.

    The overall dining experience was very good from the service to the meal. We ate in the orangery which was lovely but slightly on the cool side. I would definitely recommend the Abbotsford Lodge for a meal if you are visiting Callander. .
