SERVICE: Hostess and server not very welcoming nor friendly-no smile whatsoever throughout the evening. Food runner and bus boy was kind.
FOOD: octopus was overly salty. Chicken kabob was burnt and dry! Rice was dry and oily! Avocado spread was sub par. Hummus was decent. Eggplant and bread was great! Crackers served was horrible. Kufi dessert was sub par.
TAKEOUT: I ordered carry out (other items than mentioned above: lamb+beef kofta, Mahabad and truffle orza) for my family since it was late and didn’t want to scramble finding another place late night but I don’t foresee it being any better than the food eaten at the restaurant.
CONCLUSION: What a shame for a beautiful space/restaurant. Extremely disappointed in Aba!
I would never return here nor recommend this place for the food or the service in the future!
* Possibility (this is a BIG MAYBE) I may give them a second chance during the summer JUST FOR THE AMBIANCE and in hopes by then they will take customers feedback/constructive criticism and better their FOOD and service standards!!! But again, there are too many outstanding restaurant choices in chicago to go out of my way to give them a second go!
Came here to celebrate my Birthday since is my favorite place in town. It was my guests first time, and I can say they enjoyed the food, the service and the ambience. Everything was nothing but amazing.
Delicious food, decent price, and great ambience
Consistently great - brunch, lunch, dinner, drinks
Well above average food! Dishes are meant to be shared, 4-5 dishes for a table of 2-3.
An exceptional culinary experience! Amazing food, terrific vibe and beautiful surroundings. All perfect!
Excellent experience and food. Will absolutely return.
Food and ambiance was great. Our waiter was friendly and cooperative. Would love to come back.
Really good I love this restaurant
Great food, great service, very quick., great drinks. Top old fashions I’ve had. Great first time there.
Everything we ordered was delicious. The staff accommodated us with a great table as requested. Prices were a steal for Chicago. Will definitely be back.
Yummy food. Can’t wait to go back.
There was a lot of traffic, and it was noisy...good and bad considering I was on a date. People watching was great. Food was awesome. Idk about another first date with the noise. I just kept asking huh...one more time...
Food was great, the service was very slow. We were seated at a high top table at the Bar and there was only one server.
A wonderful dining place! Atmosphere, food and service - everything was great!
I can't wait to go back! The heated patio was perfect for a small group, with not too much noise and not too cold in the winter. Everything from the food to the service was amazing.
Our server was amazing, food was delicious as always — friend felt super celebrated ❤️
Great service and great food
We were a large group of 6, we ordered quite a few things to share and I can honestly say that there wasn't one in the bunch that I didn't like! The service was exceptional too! Can't wait to go back in the summer to enjoy the terrace! Highly recommend.
Beautiful atmosphere and great food. The wine from Israel was a perfect pairing! Great date night or friend dinner, wouldn't do a group bigger than 6.
Delicious food, good music, great service, and a fun atmosphere! Perfect night celebrating our Anniversary. I will definitely be back soon. This place would be great to go to dinner with friends before a night out, or make this your night out! Loved it!
Loved this place. The combinations of flavors were phenomenal. All the dishes were mezze style and I thought they were really ample portions. Beautiful restaurant and great drinks!
Awesome meal, I am really beginning to enjoy the whole small plate concept, everything we tried was delicious and there will be plenty of different items to try on our next visit.
Food was hit or miss. Falafel and lamb & beef kebab were good. The whipped feta was super salty and the accompanying bread was kinda flavorless. The shakshuka was really terrible. Cocktails were bad. Service was barely attentive.
Delicious food. Nice olace
Had brunch and loved this place. Could be our new fave WL spot. Beautiful room. Outstanding food. Everyone really friendly. Will b back! Had the Ragu Lamb hummus, Kafka lamb/beef eggs, broccoli, the pizza (can’t recall the actual name). Everything was exceptional.
Atmosphere and food were amazing , only complaint - our server was very slow and inattentive. Other hosts, servers, bartenders made up for it.
Lamb wrapped in eggplant and the green falafel were our favorite.
The broccoli and mushroom hummus were great but the only two dishes took the cake.
Always a pleasure to dine at ABA! Nothing but the best of everything.
Beautiful setting with loads of natural light.
Indoor trees and candles and lanterns.
Covered Patio for the cold with heaters and fire pits.
Very kind and quick staff.
Great Valentine’s Day spot. We love ut
One of my favorite restaurants in Chicago and one of my fav Mediterranean places anywhere. Gorgeous and delicious.
I love the food and generally have had good experiences but this time we were seated outside, yes it was covered and there were heaters but we weren’t seated under a heater and were both still cold- after all it was 20 degrees out. The service was getting slow outside and i wish they would have just not seated us or told us they were full rather than put us outside with subpar service.
Beautiful with amazing food and service - the best spot in Chicago!
Amazing food, service, and ambiance. The perfect amount of natural light. Very cool view of the city!
Servcie: above average
Food: Some dishes great. Others could pass up. Did not try alcoholic drinks
