They forgot my girlfriends birthday dessert but the food and ambiance and drinks were amazing!
We had a wonderful time here. The only reason I rated this a little lower is because we made a reservation for 730 but had to wait nearly a half hour to be seated. And then when we were finally seated, they gave us a table in a very busy hallway near the bathroom so it was incredibly distracting to have people walk by us every few seconds. Other than this, we had a wonderful time and ate some of the best food we have ever tried! Our server was wonderful also!
Amazing restaurant ambience, and visually stunning. I asked my girlfriend out her and the food was amazing. Anyone looking for a date spot I’d fully recommend it.
Love this place! Staff is so helpful - Madison always remembers me. Michael was a great server. Favorite dishes - Avocado and Favia Bean, the Straticella, the Falafel, the Lamb Chops. The best!
While the service was very good it took a while for someone to come to the table. When the young made it to the table. It was worth the wait because she was amazing, great personality and knowledgeable.
The food was not wow. As I was expecting. The eggplant and walnut spread was just ok. It needed more love.
The short rib, hummus dish was disappointing. The bread on that dish was the best part.
All the fresh bread was good. But I don’t come to a restaurant to eat a a lot of good bread.
I ordered the octopus. It was tasty but undercooked, chewy and just not tender as it should be.
The atmosphere was great.
Food was good, not great and I'm pretty sure our waitress forgot to order several of our plates because they came out at least 35 minutes after our first course.
Aba's vibe is hip and special. Because it takes some time to get a reservation, one feels almost privileged to eat there. The food and the service is worth the wait! Each dish is better than the next!
The ambience, views, service, food, and drinks were all amazing! We will return!!
Celebrated our daughter’s 21st birthday on the rooftop terrace. Service was wonderful! Food was delicious!
This was on our list for our Chicago Foodie trip. The vibe was great for our last night. We wanted to sit outside and had to wait about an hour on a Monday night. We sat at the bar had delicious wine and olives.
Food was great! We had the Hummus, falafel, lamb, halloumi cheese. Cocktails were strong and tasty but the star of the night was the Turkish coffee dessert!
I wouldn’t wait for a table outside if it’s just two ppl the ambiance inside is just as great!
As a gluten-dairy-soy free diner, I always appreciate Lettuce Entertain You restaurants
great place, I love lofts and the atmosphere a restaurant can make, the food was bomb, loved it
The food and atmosphere was phenomenal! I highly recommend.
We were very excited to try this place for our date night, it was a beautiful restuarant. We were immediately acknowledged by staff upon exiting the elevators and were seated within the first few minutes. Service was okay, drinks were refilled in a timely manner although food coursing was rather delayed. Waited about 25 minutes between the last courses which had us thinking perhaps it was forgotten. Food was lackluster, the falafel was fried really hard (first time trying so was not sure if that was to be expected). Our experience could be contributed to our 10:15 reservation time, we thought, but if service declines around that time then why offer. Unlikely to return or suggest to friends, it was just okay.
Overall a great experience
A friend and I came in for dinner. It was a Wednesday and busy but not crazy. A bit slow to get our first drink order/drinks to us, but the food was delicious.
We came for a special birthday and we had an overall great meal. They were about 30 minutes late with the reservation but once the check came they took care of a few items and really tried to make it up. The food is unbelievable. Love the feta, olive, cucumber, tomato, and onion salad. The flavor in it is amazing, I would recommend every table should try it.
Had a great anniversary dinner. Great service and food quality.
Amazing spot. I now understand why it's so hard to get into!
One of the best dining experiences we have had in chicago and we are total food snobs. Can’t be missed!
Aba did not disappoint. The space is beautiful. There’s a great cocktail menu and the food was incredible. I highly recommend the whipped feta, crunchy short rib hummus and the lamb kabob. The bread alone deserves its own 5 star review. We loved our experience at Aba and can’t wait to go back.
Amazing experience, my husband and I think it might hit number one on our list!
Fourth time at Aba, first time for the brunch. We ate until we could eat no more and enjoyed every mouthful. I would especially recommend the hummus and the crispy potatoes, as well as the eggs with beef/lamb kefta.
Service is very slow
Food is just OK. Ambiance is great.
Feels like you are doing them a favor for eating there. Despite having a reservation we were told they were running behind and the bars were so crowded it was hard to stand or get a drink while waiting. After we were seated, the bus boy aggressively filled our water glasses, spilling water all over the table which dripped onto the guest of honor and he didn’t say anything and walked away. The tables are so packed together, another woman clearing the table near us rushed through and clipped me on the back of the head and didn’t say anything. The bill came and was supposed to be split three ways, it wasn’t correct. My bill was half of the other two. I pointed it out and she said she only saw two cards at first and then tried to add the third, but was bad at math. She said she would have to re-run all the cards. I said she only had to put the remainder of the balance on my card as she walked away. Overall, poor service and too crowded. They try to jam in as many people as possible.
Went on Saturday as part of girlfriend's weekend in Chicago. We had an amazing lunch. The whipped feta with pistachios is amazing as is the hummus. We also enjoyed the olives and cut feta; grilled hard cheese. The avocado falafel was just ok.
Nice brunch cocktails. Server was very informative. One area to improve is attentiveness to details. For example, 3 of us were wearing black t-shirts or dresses which were lint magnets for the white napkins. Upon seating, hostess should inquire if anyone would like a black napkin. I bring this up because same thing happened on last visit. Other than that - it was great.
Food was great! We loved the crispy short ribs with hummus. Our waiter David was awesome!! We were first time visitors to Chicago and he gave us great recommendations.
Nina was the best!
Loved everything about this place!
Delicious food and amazing service! Nice atmosphere as well. Would definitely recommend.
The food was absolutely phenomenal. Two of us had two dishes each and everyone of them was better than I’ve ever had another restaurant. That includes the grilled octopus, grilled halloumi and the lamb and beef kafta.
Excellent, authentic Mediterranean food with a stunning view of the Chicago skyline
The food was greasy and small portions for the cost. We ordered lamb chops rare and they were medium and mostly fat, we were still charged for them.
This is about the 4th time I've been to Aba. Loved it the first and recommended it to everyone.
Everytime after it has gone down in the quality of the food.
You have changed a few of the best items that I thought were the best and taken off the menu.
I recently made a reservation for 10 people at Aba. The staff was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was very high energy and exciting. The food was fantastic. We each got about 3 tapas and it was just the right amount for everyone.
All dishes were wonderful!
Food is good, but we sat around for 30 minutes before anyone introduced themselves as a waiter. Then we were moved to another table due to water leaking from the AC system, at which point we needed to wait another 10 minutes to meet our new waiter. Rough start, but the meal was great.
Absolutely delicious. Best Pita bread I’ve ever had and overall great food. Service was great. The only thing was that I felt the music was too loud indoors so everyone was shouting at each other in order to be heard.
The outdoor seating is great for summer. The prices are reasonable and the food are delicious! One thing they could work on is to listen to what the guests said. We asked for bread three times (the bread is the best) and the waitress didn’t give us, seems like she was too busy and forgot us. But besides that, everything is perfect and will definitely come back!
