Everything was perfect! We came to celebrate a birthday. Started at the bar with Kevin and his cocktail recommendations were spot on! Service was impeccable and fast. Once we moved to our table Alex was our server, he was very helpful and walked us through the menu and his favorites as well. Steaks were perfectly seasoned and cook temp was perfect. From appetizers to desserts the whole experience was outstanding and we couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you again we will definitely be back!

An absolute gem! The staff is knowledgeable, professional and give excellent recommendations. Hats off to the chef and kitchen staff. Easily one of the best restaurants in Denver, the food is outstanding and the seasonal choices are exquisite. Perfect for a fancy date night or semi-casual dinner. If you like cheap steak, go somewhere else. If you like quality meat, a perfect atmosphere and an amazing dining experience then this is your place.

Of the entries we ordered, one was excellent, one was very good and two were disappointing. I believe they intend “Asian fusion”, but the result was closer to Buffalo Wild Wings Blazing sauce in complexity. The Scallops were excellent, and the fillet was very good. I enjoy the murmur of a crowded restaurant, but their addition of overly loud, incoherently themed music was downright unpleasant at time. This is a restaurant that picks up the overflow of diners on event weekends. When other restaurants are booked. Hence the need to make a credit card deposit for a reservation. Next time we will plan ahead and eat somewhere else.

Dinner @A5 last night for my bday was probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Everything was so wonderful from the service, sides, wine, dessert & steak that melted (literally) in your mouth! 🤤 they gave me complimentary crème brûlée since it was my bday too. Our server was also a chef with so much knowledge about the food, where it came from and how it was prepared which I thought was great. Pretty expensive meal so not something we’ll do often but I can’t wait for the next special occasion to come back here!! If you haven’t been, go try for sure. The location is the old Wazee Supper Club which is cool & funky in itself. I remembered to take some pics before we devoured everything 😉 — eating dinner with great friends at A5 Steakhouse.

Read very good reviews about this place. Ordered a glass of Chardonnay, only to be told they were out. At 6:00 PM on a Saturday. Ordered our steaks medium rare and medium. One was blue/rare, the other was rare. I didn’t complain, because I believe the buyer has to beware when eating anywhere. But it was a tough $400.00 bill to pay.

Add A5 Steakhouse to your list of restaurants. Great food and service in a nice little corner location downtown. This was our first visit and we will be back. Favorite menu items: wedge salad, Japanese rolls, and the tenderloin.

They ask you to place all your menu items at one time - appetizers thru entree at one time - they promise they will come out appropriately spaced, etc. Salads came first - then appetizers ( a little different, but fine ) then our steaks came out (they were delicious!) but none of the shareable sides - when the waitress checked on us, I mentioned it - by the time they came out we were 3/4 done with the steaks. A little disappointing but the sides that did come out were also delicious! It’s a nice vibe atmosphere & food was excellent- A little pricey but when the food is that good it’s acceptable.

I want to give A5 an A+ and a 5/5, but I like to treat my review levels as steps. It's frustrating, because perfection was so close to being achieved, but I have to dock a point for the steak. For what should be the star of a steakhouse, I was underwhelmed by my steak. I ordered the Tri-tip. Flavor was spectacular. It looked like it was perfectly cooked. However, it arrived luke-warm at best, and came to room temperate within 5 minutes of being delivered. I still ate the whole thing, and it wasn't big enough to complain about. But I feel this feedback is worth offering. Perhaps warming the plates is all that's needed to slow the cooling of the steaks. Management, treat this as a 5/5 for Don if there is a reward for reviews. He did excellent and provided good information. I just can't, in practice, award a perfect score if I did not have an immaculate experience. Which is frustrating, because it was so, so close.

Went here for an anniversary dinner on Sunday and was greeted warmly by the host and who I assumed to be the GM. Our waiter was a little too present at times at the beginning. We didn’t have the chance to look at anything or settle in before being presented with some options, and after asking for some time to consider things he just came back too often for us to even make up our minds. A5 has a modern aesthetic that really works with the space that it’s in, but don’t expect to have a quiet dinner for two. It’s fairly large and open, and conversations can be heard from everyone around you. That’s not bad - just not what was expected. The menu looked to have a slight Japanese/Asian inspired twist on a few of the items, and though I’m not usually a fan of “fusion” cuisine, the Char Siu Bacon was alright, and the Japanese Milk Buns were too. We split a wedge and a 30 oz NY Strip for our main, and while the salad was good, the steak left a little to be desired. The cut came out rather cool - not cold, but cool. I don’t expect steaks to come out hot because they need to rest, but this was a little too close to room temperature. I don’t know if it was the cut or preparation, but the pieces did tend to border on the tougher side (prepared med/med-rare). The season was fine, but the au poivre sauce really helped in the other lacking areas. Unfortunately, I think I enjoyed the milk bread side a lot more than I did the steak. We had a glass of Pinot and Bordeaux with our meal and both were excellent. Overall I would say it’s a fine place, but nothing was a standout. For two, with a glass of wine, app, salad, and steak the bill came out to be around 300, which is pretty normal I’d say. I’ve heard good things about their happy hour, so I’ll have to check that out and give A5 another chance.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Waiter was very attentive and helpful. Food was spectacular and unique. It is pricey, but everything was very well portioned, meat is sourced ethically, and cooked to perfection. Top notch cocktails were the cherry on top. I would not hesitate to return.

My boyfriend and I ate at A5 for his birthday dinner and had an excellent time. The steak (bavette) was the best steak I’ve ever had. The bread rolls were incredible, and our server was so kind and helpful and even gave my boyfriend a birthday dessert. Highly recommend.

Only if the best dinners we’ve had this year. We came just in time for HH and orders margs, salad and oysters! They were just perfect. Our entres / appetizers were cooked to perfection. The staff was super friendly and had great recommendations. We loved the vibe of the place - the music and decor was so fun! Can’t wait to come back here!

Excellent experience at A5. The whole team took care of us and the food was great. We enjoyed the Hamachi, a Denver steak with Hollandaise, the lamb loin, mac and cheese croquettes, and the strawberry shortcake. Between the food and the experience, I think A5 is our new favorite steakhouse in Denver.

The sirloin was amazing! Mushrooms and whipped potatoes were also top notch. Caesar salad did not disappoint either. Our bill was pricey, but so worth it. Would definitely go back again next time in Denver.

The food and service were second to none. Music over speaker system was so loud that communication was next to impossible. Seating was so close together that having a personal conversation with your own table was not possible. More a a bar and grill atmosphere rather than fine dining, especially as only available beverages other than water available are alcoholic or non-alcoholic versions.

I enjoyed their small menu, not overtly complicated and an emphasis on fresh ingredients. I’m not a huge steak house fan but this was a better alternative to the larger big box faux fancy steak houses in the area.

Fun and delicious experience. I took my son and his girlfriend there. We way over ordered. All the servings were large enough to share with two or three people. The food was excellent and my son was glad he had plenty left over for lunch the next day. Look forward to going there again soon.
