All pastas are amazing; down to the detail. Really nice place to go and share with friends.
The highlight of A Mano is the food. We both had the mushroom ravioli, which was absolutely phenomenal. My wife also had the cauliflower appetizer, which she loved, and I had the bucatini all'amartriciana, which was quite spicy and quite delicious. The service was fine, and the noise level was not bad at all, we could comfortably converse without distraction from other tables. As we live in the neighborhood, A Mano will remain one of our regular haunts.
This is our favorite restaurant in Fairmount. We come for special occasions, a group dinner or just date night. We bring most guests visiting from out of town. It is delicious!
Our experience from stepping in was exceptional. Warm greeting, knowledgeable server, excellent food.
Loved the food and service but the atmosphere was much too loud for us! Everyone seemed to be screaming to each other to be heard. Maybe someday the acoustics can be modified to help diners enjoy the dining experience a little more.
This is the 3rd time I’ve been here, and I just love everything about it. May it live on forever

We continue to return to A Mano as our favorite restaurant in Philly. Always GREAT food. Chef Michael has an uncanny ability to layer flavors - such that each dish has multiple savory tastes. Never all blending into one single flavor - nor competitive - but complimentary, interesting, provoking, and always pleasing.
This visit the Strozzapreti was out of this world - more crabby than crab!! Truly remarkable. The Black Olive Fritelle was a delight - and the charred flavor just the right accent. The semifreddo - and its combination of smoke and caramel was beyond compare. Can't wait to get back!
Amazing! Great homemade Italian food and great prices! Small cozy atmosphere, with visible kitchen right in dining area!
Delicious food. The music was a bit too loud for the ambiance. Service was outstanding and knowledgeable. Food was wonderful. If you like savory non-traditional Italian food, go to A Mano.

Ambitious and creative menu. Some of the dishes were better than others. We loved the goat cheese gnocchi and the polenta and the semifreddo for dessert was superb. The appetizers were less successful. Some of the flavor combinations were a bit much for our palates. Overall, we would definitely come back.

We had a birthday dinner that was delicious, with the pork belly and pork as a stand out. I love the crab spaghetti...simple and delicious. Our shared dessert was a lovely coffee semi fredo. A neighborhood place for us...and we love it.

We had a great meal Sunday night. Food was outstanding but service was slow, so slow that the waiter comped us to dessert. Who can argue with that? Entrees ranged from delicious pastas to the excellent sea bass and duck. Would definitely return again and again.
I absolutely loved our dining experience. It was the first of many dinners to come in our new hometown. Thank you all so very much for the delicious meal and wonderful service.

A Mano scores again! Another superb mean, with truly outstanding service this time 'round. We continue to LOVE the pork shoulder and cannot resist the desserts. An additional plus this evening--very good wine service from this BYOB, taking extra care with a cork that wanted to crumble and neatly decanting our bottle.
Part of me wishes it was a wee bit less noisy, but maybe the noise is part of what makes A Mano the restaurant it is. A different part of me wishes it weren't cash only, which seems a bit ridiculous, though I can believe it keeps costs down a wee bit.

My two companions were very pleased, but the fish dish I had was blan and greasy. Also, as more patrons arrived, it got quite noisy. We had trouble hearing one another.
Top quality cuisine and great service at this byob gem! We have had two family dinners here in the past several months and it is a close call as to which evening was more superb. The antipasti board was amazing, as was the spicy crab pasta and the perfectly prepared pork shank. The cannoli sundae was not only delicious, but actually very light and refreshing. One of our guests commented as we were leaving that he did not see any reason to ever eat elsewhere when he visits Philadelphia. An extreme reaction, perhaps, but justifiable based on the two memorable experiences we have had there in recent months. Thank you!
The reason we continue to patronize this fine dining establishment is consistently excellent food and service. A real winner that also offer reasonable prices for the quality of food provided and it is BYOB. We will be back again soon
