Waitress was attentive at first, then lost focus when a bigger party came in. Had to return both entrees (pizza) because they were too salty to eat. Restaurant is known for their pasta however didn’t offer any options with meat, not even spaghetti and meatballs!
Excellent food, prompt service, and our server was very helpful in choosing menu items. Would definitely return and recommend!
Overall was outstanding and our server Mike was excellent.
Every time have visited this restaurant had a magnificent experience. Go give them a try .
The Calamari & pork chop was best ever had!!!
Excellent service. Our waiter knew the menu very well. Appetizers and entrées were perfectly cooked while having a very full flavor profile. My fish and mussels were delicious and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was nice especially considering that this wasn’t too long after mask restrictions had ended.
Ask in all, it was a great experience. There were moments I thought I might be dining in an actual metropolitan city. Any place that can help me forget that I’m in Syracuse get an excellent review from me.
very good food, excellent quality , friendly staff
One of our favorite spots in Syracuse! The food is excellent. The chef is very creative, last night the crab cake on the crunchy risotto cake was so delicious. The best crab cake we’ve ever had.
Great staff and a fun place to eat!
First time, but will certainly not be our last. We had the pleasure of sitting outside and it was wonderful. Great energy, attentive staff, amazing food. Tried some new things and don't regret it. Cocktails were delicious as well.
Specialty pizza was great especially the crust. Menu was creative and tasty. Little noisy on a full Friday night even though tables were spaced apart.
They fell down on the bread/ butter presentation. Bland and not even warmed up. Butter was ordinary. They could do better.
Service was fine and although price was medium/high, value was good.
Wait staff in blue jeans put me off a bit, but it must be a NYC chic thing this old timer does not get.
This is our favorite restaurant. The menu is constantly changing and I always have a very unique entrées. We love it here!
Great appetizers , delicious dinners, good selection of wines, very friendly and efficient wait staff. Very enjoyable, relaxing evening! Looking forward to returning! The birthday diners (2) were made to feel special by the waiter! Highly recommend for delicious dinners ,ambiance and efficient wait staff!
The bartender makes amazing drinks, the food is delicious and unique, and the service is amazing! My favorite place in town.
I had brunch on Sunday. The homemade pop tarts and basket of biscuits were amazing. Eggs Benedict with pork belly outstanding. Will definitely go to this place again.
All the food was to die for. Absolutely delicious. So good in fact we came back the next day for brunch!
Amazing food and wonderful server!
This restaurant came highly recommended but our experience was mediocre. Our cocktails were good- and we started with the goat cheese brûlée which was fantastic. We both ordered steaks and were told by our server they were huge, 33 ounces or something along those lines. I don’t think he expected us both to order them- when he walked away he made some sort of remark to what I’m assuming was the owner or manager. I’m not sure what it was but it made us both uncomfortable- he noticeably said something and then they glared at the both of us. The menu doesn’t say what kind of steak it was either. We were looking forward to these giant steaks until they were delivered and we saw that the 33 ounce steak came with about 28 ounces of fat. They were extremely salty and we didn’t eat much of them. Our server was strange and not personable whatsoever, very slow and didn’t check in on us much. We were seated for a good 50 minutes before he took our entree order. The restaurant was not busy and majority of the other patrons were at the bar. He initially came up to our table to tell us the specials and walked away mid sentence and never told us the rest. It was extremely uncomfortable and strange. The whole experience with our server was very bizarre. At one point when my drink was empty he walked by, made a ‘zoom’ noise, grabbed the glass and didn’t come back to ask if I’d like another. We came here for our 2 year wedding anniversary and we’re both shocked with how poor the service was after hearing and reading such positive reviews. All in all just a really weird dinner experience.
Best brunch in Syracuse. We have been twice since COVID and they restarted Sunday Brunch. Everything about this place is awesome. The food quality is superior. The service is fantastic. The menu selections are different but not weird. I appreciate the amount of choices on the menu. Most of all, delicious! Thank you for doing a great job!
This was our second time here. Excellent food, great cocktails, great service and atmosphere! We will be back!
Excellent food and service
Our table was ready at out reservation time
The only draw back to this restaurant is the parking
The parking garage closes early so it’s street parking
The service was attentive, and the appetizers came out really quick. The charcuterie was a nice assortment of a couple small bites and the complimentary bread was delicious with 3 varieties of bread and 2 butters. The lamb ribs appetizer was phenomenal and we want to take home a bottle of the sauce it came with! We were celebrating so we ordered 3 courses plus drinks but will definitely return for less expensive fare and just order some drinks and apps at the bar!
We had an amazing brunch! Everything was delicious (especially the drinks and biscuits) and everyone who greeted us was amazingly friendly. We ate outside on the patio and it was lovely.
Amazing service, delicious and unique food options! Whole group was very happy.
Some of the best food and service in the Syracuse area! And look at this fun dessert!!
Wonderful service and food. Everything we ordered was texturally compelling and delicious. We had the salmon and gnocchetti and would order both dishes again; it was some of the best gnocchi we’ve had! The staff are top-notch and thoughtful. Truly a great dining experience.
The experience was wonderful.Niki was our wait staff. Very friendly and helpful. She explained the menu items clearly and w/ease. We had reservations and there was no wait. Presentation was good. Food was excellent-flavor able and served at the proper temperature.
Niki was terrific. She had the restaurant history and menu descriptions down pat
The app says that the review must be at least 50 characters. This was our second visit here, and actually there is only two words that I would use for the review.
Amazing waitress! Very attentive and cheerful. Food was outstanding.
I have been to A Mano once before and was blown away by the food and the service along with the restaurant overall. But this past sunday I decided to bring my father for brunch and had a unsatisfactory experience. Sure, it was graduation weekend, but the restaurant wasnt insanely busy and were definitely not understaffed.
While there we had to consistently look for our server (who was running around the restaurant) and wave down any staff, who on multiple occasions stared directly at us, ignoring that we were searching for assistance.
Not only was the service the worst ive recieved in a while, the food was mediocre at best, bland and overpriced foe what it is. The brunch menu options are also absurd and for being a more “italian” restaurant made NO SENSE!!
I am very familiar with the hospitality industry and actually work in it myself. I know how crazy it can get, but when i have to spend five whole minutes with my arm in the air, staring at staff who are mingling at the bar, something is wrong.
Management definitely needs to figure out better training for staff, and concentrate on the quality of not only their products but their overall customer experience
Exceptional night at A Mano! Everything was outstanding can’t wait to return! Thank you
Absolutely awesome food, great drinks and excellent service! Highly recommended and will definitely go again!
Mother’s Day, excellent menu, always wonderful surprises. Very comfortable seating and atmosphere.
Great experience and ambiance. Enjoyed a lovely dinner date and drinks at the bar after! Pizza was great.
We really enjoyed the food and the service. Our waitress checked on us at all the right times. Will definitely go again,
Outstanding as usual! Cannot recommend this place enough ♥️
Lovely upscale restaurant with delicious food and great service
Great meal! Highlight was the pork belly appetizer with shaved fennel.
A Mano is the best restaurant in Syracuse. Do your future self a favor and go there as soon as you get the chance.
Best food in Syracuse. I loved how they had a lot of different items on their menu that you wouldn’t find at traditional Italian restaurants.
Amazing all around!!
An excellent place to eat in downtown Syracuse. Their menu is fantastic, anyone who likes clean eating should definitely try out this restaurant. Impeccable dishes and also some surprises! The staff is very friendly and very busy but never too busy to take care of their customers. The wine and beer choices as well as other mixed drinks are exceptional. Whether you are seated at a hightop table, bar, or in the dining room area, you are sure to have a nice experience at this downtown favorite. I can’t wait for the outdoor seating. They have created a garden like atmosphere where are you are totally hidden from the street. It is a very nice atmosphere.
Syracuse won the culinary lottery when the Fiacchi family chose it for A Mano's home. A Mano, literally "by hand" in Italian, is true to its name and promise. Chefs Alex and Lauren, both alumni of the CIA and Chef Marc Vetri's restaurant group in Philadelphia, hand-craft pastas and seasonally inspired regional Italian cuisine leveraging Upstate NY's terroir, farmers and produce. Showcased in the center of the dining room is their woodfired pizza oven masterly directed by Alex's pizzaiolo brother Noah. The dough is slowly fermented and developed over days, yielding the most decorated pie in Central New York. Note-this is NOT a sauce joint, of which Syracuse has plenty of options. This is one part a passionate and personal homage to a country and cuisine, and one part humble reverence to the spirit of hospitality enjoyed there. It's a dream, a delight and a joy to dine here-a thrill to be fed by people who care so deeply about you and your experience. A Mano is the best Syracuse has to offer.
