What a great place. Once you're inside the restaurant, you get the charm of the atmosphere and the smell of beautifully cooked food right away. It's small, but doesn't feel crowded and is not loud. There were 5 of us so we tried many dishes--standouts were the tourte and the bouillabaisse. The decor and presentation were as well structured and thought out as the food. (Even the bathroom is cool.) And, for once, the desserts were as good as the food. The whole experience was just such a surprise and a treat and exactly as billed--French with an American twist.
I was warmly greeted upon entry and the entire staff could not have been nicer. The entire menu looked delicious. I finally settled on the bouillabaisse which was superb. I plan to dine here frequently.
Good food and service. Well decorated with good attention to detail.
Second time and still wonderful. I love the mushroom torte appetizer and the boeuf bougenoun. (Sp ?). Tonight we ended with the chocolate chip cookie. Yum!
The food was amazing. Servers were friendly and attentive.
Ambiance was great.
I would definitely go back. :)
You cannot beat A Food Affair for your Los Angeles date night. The food is always incredible, the service is second to none, and you leave feeling wonderful. Highly recommend to all!!
Absolutely amazing! Love this hidden gem and hope they one day serve brunch!
The place never fails! Bringing newcomers to show this restaurant is always a joy - they are stunned from the first bite and keep on thanking me for reviling “the secret jem”.
The chef is always on point but his hospitality exceeds all expectations. Have been here multiple times and have always been quite pleased with the whole experience!
It was a wonderful experience! We intend to go back!
Absolute wonderful dining experience. We ordered the flash fried whole snapper and the bouillabaisse. Both were very flavorful but turned delicious when you dipped the snapper in the herb infused vinaigrette and when you bit into the dipped in bouillabaisse saffron aioli crostini.
What topped our night was the service we received. We normally don’t dine out with our newborn, but since the restaurant is on our way back from the pediatrician, we had to stop. Very pleased we did as the owners were very patient and accommodating to our newborn and were very attentive to our every need.
Recommended if in the area.
Delicious food, homey atmosphere. The waitstaff was attentive and polite. We were even greeted by the chef to see if our food was prepared well. I loved the Ribeye steak with the cognac sauce. My wife got the special which was lamb prepared in a clay pot, Moroccan style. This dish could have been spicier, as we both love spicy food. Great place for a special occasion.
The food and service is always top-notch. It is always one of our favorite places!
I absolutely love this restaurant. Delicious, charming, hidden gem in LA. Perfect for dates or groups of friends. I have never been disappointed. The chef has always come out and greeted our table each time we’ve gone. Amazing!
We went for our anniversary. Excellent experience. The food was wonderful, the ambience was delightful as well. I’d highly recommend it!
Super cute! We sat in the patio, where we sat & chatted w/the heater on. Got served by a very nicely lady who seemed to be the owner. The food itself was fantastic esp the truffle oil fries.
Later the chef/owner came out to introduce himself, super friendly just to say hello & thank you for coming out to his establishment. Would def go back. Great from, great srvc!
Third time at this restaurant, now our favorite!
We have been here many times as their food is excellent and for the most part, it is one of the few places that is quiet enough for a conversation
Good food with attentive service but the noise level became unbearable when restaurant was filled-up.
The food is good but very rich. So those of you out there who eat a more healthy regime, beware. It is overpriced for the serving portion. Nice owner and staff.
Everything is very and consistently excellent.
It was marvelous
Very delicious French food. A funky, interesting and fun atmosphere. The chef/owner came to say hello to us and prepared a nice dessert for my friend’s birthday. A little expensive for a neighborhood restaurant, but competitive.
This place was absolutely amazing. We went for our anniversary and it by far has been our best one yet. Thank you for making the experience wonderful.
Very pleased with the experience.
Solid food and excellent service! I live the special lemonade and the duck confit.
Amazing food. Very good service.
The food was so flavorful and rustic. Such a great menu. Everything we had was delicious. Beef Bourguignon was especially amazing. Bone marrow, Brussels sprouts, French onion soup. All great. The chef came out to say hello and on our way out as well. The staff was friendly accommodating. Great atmosphere.
Cozy cute restaurant and good food . Ordered Red snapper and Ribeye steak as a main dishes. The red snapper was very good especially the sauce came with fish was really good and it double the taste better. Also other starter was pretty good. Only thing bothered us was noisy at patio. The patio door slamming sound was really loud every time peoples are in and out. But good food and good service made up this little issue.
I will come back to try different food.
My girlfriend and I had a great time. Their Valentine’s Day meal special was terrific.
We had dinner and came out hungry. Not worth the Valentines day date for. Overpriced and overrated.
pretty pricy BUT you get Great service, great food.....will come back!
Wonderful French cuisine, beautifully presented and delicious. The portion sizes are ample, but not so large that you will be too full for dessert. That is a good thing, because the apple tart is amazing!
The prices are on the higher side, but for a special occasion, this restaurant is worth the price.
Excellent food and service. The mushroom tourte was delicious, likewise the duck confit and the chocolate mousse. I didn’t taste my companions’ food - I’m not sure what it was -but they were very pleased with what they had.
Really nice find. Service was great, food fantastic, personable and personal attention.
will come back !
Love this place! So cute, and delicious authentic French cuisine.
Great find. Meals were delish. Comp bday dessert was a nice touch
Cute quaint place. Service prompt and attentive. Food very delicious, modest size portions. Very costly prices though.
The chef was fabulous and came to introduce himself. The food was so great and the apps were delicious
I really enjoyed my meal here. I wish the duck confit had been crisp, but the other dishes were quite good.
Amazing food and very kind service. Chef came out to greet us after we ordered. I saw him come out to other tables also after they ordered. Very nice and very satisfying.
