   The food was great but the service was slow and not timed well. We ordered a few dishes to share and they all came at the same time, so we were eating some of our food cold. When I asked for a taste of the wine the waiter was recommending, he refused and sold me a 1/2 glass instead, which I have never experienced at this restaurant before. Also, we waited more than 25 minutes for our second set of drinks, essentially finishing most of our food before we got them.

   Up to its usual standards. Festive sidewalk seating out front. Really delicious food. Recommend mussels cooked in wood oven, pomme frites, lamb patty with yogurt and orzo, any pasta dish, any salad. Enjoyed a wine flight of Italian roses. Just a really classic ly delicious A Cote dinner to share with a friend.

    I have only heard great things about A cote, and dined there for the first time with my sister visiting from NYC and a friend. The food was outstanding, the wines were very interesting and the sangria was perfect. Our server couldn't have been more charming-she was sweet and gave great recommendations and always had a smile. My only criticism was the decor. It was a bit outdated and felt kind of dingy. To my fault, I'm an interior designer so I tend to judge. With a modern refresh, I bet there would be a waitlist. That's how great we thought the food and service were! Hopefully this doesn't come across badly...we all loved it and will be back no matter what!

    As usual, great mussels and pommel frites (a little too salty I think). Delicious salads and lamb patty too. Wonderful server. Heaters kept us nice and warm outside on a chilly night.

    Very friendly staff. I hadn’t eaten in the park let in front of the restaurant before. It was much more comfortable than I thought it would be. Food and drink is always excellent. Great to have A Coté in walking distance from my home. Happy Hour special is a great way to gather with friends mid-week.

    Food was all delicious. Pommes Frites were good, but entire plate seemed like from bottom of fry basket. All small broken little bits. Problem was our server who was a little full of herself. Kinda gave off a you’re in My House vibe. She never came over to say goodbye or thank you. She saw us getting up, which meant she knew whatever cash we left required no change. I felt regret for leaving over 20% tip.

    Been going to a cote for many decades. The food continues to be terrific (seems to get better) and the service is always super friendly and efficient. There is a reason it’s a neighborhood staple.

    So exquisite this food. We had the burrata with radishes, the mussels, and the trout and shared everything. It was divine, and the service was attentively kind. I love this place. We had a three hour catch up in the most elegant and quiet atmosphere.

    I've never had anything but incredible service, food, and wine! This is one of my favorite spots to sit at the bar, order a handful of plates, and let the staff recommend varietals I've never heard of or experienced before.

    This place never disappoints! It's always deliciously consistent. We love that the menu changes often/seasonally. The spring flatbread was delicious with the asparagus and lemon ricotta. And we love the changes to the wine menu.

    This is so hard because the atmosphere and the service were outstanding, but the food was barely edible for me. I really, really wish they would work on the food or get a new chef or something, because if the food were good, I would run back soon! I doubt I’ll return at all because it’s a lot of money for great service and ambience but food I really don’t enjoy eating. I actually even sent one dish back because it was so terrible. I haven’t done that since I was pregnant 30 years ago!

    This is our neighborhood "go-to" place and A Cote never fails to deliver. One person in our party ordered a cocktail which was not to her liking and they graciously exchanged without nary a glance. The service was impeccable. There was one person for the room, who handled all requests with aplomb and a smile (how she did that was amazing). The room was full. The runners and bartenders and all others were also excellent. Thank you for making a fun evening even more delightful.

    This was our first time back since Covid. We were not disappointed. We were lucky enough to be seated in the back section, which is nicely lit and cozy. There were five of us, and we decided to share everything. Of note, the smoked mushroom fritters, lemon/ricotta pasta, flat bread and trout. Presentation was as good as the actual taste. We will be back and so appreciate that the wait staff really did a great job.

    The wine they helped me select at the bar was exactly what I described I would enjoy. The pork tenderloin extremely tasty and moist. I also enjoyed the strawberry souflet to wrap things up.

    OK, but disappointing and overpriced. On the whole we eat better at home. We ordered as starters a decent but unexceptional flamiche, an ill-conceived and tasteless salad with seemingly raw sliced beets (what was the chef de cuisine thinking?), and the grilled pork tenderloin, good but slightly overdone, accompanied by spinach that was perfectly cooked and delicious (one of the two best things we ate) and a UPO, an unidentified plated object that seemed to be a cross between a leek timbale and bread pudding and was, to put it charitably, not a good idea. We ended with a dessert fruit parfait that was perhaps the best thing on the menu and an ice cream coupe that could have been assembled from Safeway ingredients. We drank a Georgian wine that was reasonably good and had the earthy taste of the terra cotta amphorae used to make it, but at $80 cost about a third more than it should have. We see no reason ever to return to this restaurant, since there are far better ones around. Service was OK but typically American and unprofessional, with the waitress periodically asking "Is everything tasting delicious?"
