ACote is my grandchildren ‘s favorite restaurant, I was in town from St Louis & treated me hem to dinner, we were all very happy & full!
The food here is great. Second time here and have not been disappointed.
A Cote is an established restaurant and the French flair runs through the entire menu with some healthy options available. Just about everything is well prepared, from mussels to fish to dessert. For Valentine's Day there were 2 flights of rose wines available--very nice.
The down side is that service was meh, not too friendly and towards the end of the meal somewhat inattentive, which resulted in a late evening. We asked to be reseated to the front as the rear was drafty (not sure why we were seated in the rear with a heat lamp to begin with as we had reservations). Unfortunately the front was also quite drafty and uncomfortably cool for the entire meal.
We had a lovely Valentine's dinner. The service was excellent and we always enjoy the small plates!
Came here for Galentine’s day. Great ambiance - very Parisian with low lights, cozy atmosphere. Staff are friendly. I had the cassoulet and the meat was falling off the bone and delicious! My friend had a pasta dish and the sauce was very rich and the noodles perfectly aldente! Large selection of European wines that can be a bit overwhelming but our server was very knowledgeable. I would definitely come back!
Many, many visits and we've never been disappointed!
I truly have never had a more pleasant dining experience. The staff, the food, the ambiance.... truly wondeful. i will absolutely be returning and will recommend this place to everyone i know!!!

Fabulous food, loved the back patio with the heater!
We love this restaurant and the staff. Our 7 year old daughter constantly asks to go here. It is not easy to find a place that we all feel comfortable at and enjoy so much. 5 stars without hesitation!
We just love this place, and have gone back repeatedly -- first, the great staff is welcoming, helpful and go out of their way to help on wine selections and food. Then there's the ambiance -- the back patio is wonderful in summer, the inside is lovely and you can actually hear conversations! And the food: the idea is to order dishes, and share with the whole table, and they also offer wine flights, which are really creative. Great variety -- awesome flatbreads with toppings, mussels are amazing, flat iron steak, and excellent range of choices, vegetarian and otherwise. And great wine selections. All around, a favorite, especially if you have a group of friends or family to share those dishes with..
Outstanding service and great food. This was a wonderful meal in every way
A friend and I dined at A Cote on SuperBowl Sunday, as our husbands have a long-standing tradition of a gentlemen's gathering.
The cocktails were delicious, as was the wine. The salt cod fritters were wonderful, and I enjoyed my flat iron stake greatly. My friend didn't know the pork tenderloin was in a batter, and would have preferred that be noted on the menu, but enjoyed her meal.
We had only one issue -- with the dark walls and early sunset time, it was very difficult to see our food -- and we nearly started a fire with the candle when trying to read the bill! That said, we're in our 70s! Next time I dine at A Cote, I'll go during daylight savings time and the darkness will be a non-issue.
The food was delicious and our server was very accommodating. A friend in our group is Vegan and while there are many vegetarian options on the menu, it was challenging to find anything Vegan. However, our server worked with the kitchen to change a dish by substituting a vegan pasta.
The food was delicious. Our waiter's recommendations for wines were right on. She sort of forgot about us for a while, she recognized it and she comped a glass of wine. Overall, we were very happy.
Fabulous food—will be coming back with family.
Fabulous food. Only note was that they bring out the entrés as they are made so you have some people eating before others. This is planned but a head’s up would have been nice.
The food was lovely and our server was excellent. I went to dine for my birthday with my parents and it was just right. The restaurant was very busy for a Sunday night but it seemed they were used to that. The place is small but doesn't feel cramped and overall I felt it was the perfect place to celebrate.
A small menu with good food.
We had to remind the server a couple times that we were ready to order the drinks.
Our server was slow and ignored us.
Everything (mussels, steak, spinach salad, salmon) was excellent except the cassoulet: the beans were half cooked and the sausage was strangely over spiced; the duck confit was average/ok.
Thé dessert was catastrophic: frangipane drowned in chocolate (never mix the two!), slices of pear lost their taste (if any), cake spongy.
Mussels very good.
Gravelox fine, but buckwheat blini soaked in cream....
Food was excellent as usual.
Our favorite place to eat in the east bay.
Only thing was,we had a reservation for 8 pm and didn't get seated until after 8:30.
But that was the only time that has ever happened.
Food was excellent as always. They were a little overwhelmed tonight and took them a little bit to bring out the food. Otherwise it was great
Loved the flat bread, which actually looks like a pizza. Wine list was filled with unknowns (to me), but the waiter made an excellent choice.
Our server seemed green. Only one dish was very good: the Steelhead. The pork tenderloin was dry and unremarkable, the salad was no better than my everyday salad I make at home. Overall a pretty disappointing meal compared to past experiences there.
I made a reservation for 8PM, didn't get sat at our table until 8:45. Even after watching the host seat a 4-top WITHOUT reservations that walked in off the street. They brought out the two of the three dishes we ordered, but forgot the third completely. Ultimately they comped us a couple of dishes and a dessert, but as this was a celebration dinner I felt robbed at the end of the meal. Pull your stuff together A Cote.
Chris was our server and he was great. The food was good. The wine was expensive.
The restaurant has a very unique and different wine menu. Our server was great and recommended a couple of good ones. I ordered lamb chops. It was over cooked and not as good a I expected. The dessert was great, can't remember the name but it was chocolate ice cream with chocolate chunks.
Wonderful restaurant with consistently great food and service. It unapologetically flies under the radar of those who flock to the new best thing. A place where foodies come to eat rather than be seen.
Very good neighborhood restaurant
