94th Aero Squadron - Miami Ratings and Reviews
We went to Aero Squadron for our anniversary brunch after my company had our Thanksgiving luncheon here and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The value can't be beat. Brunch included unlimited mimosas which were flowing, our glasses were never empty! Tons of options, great service and a lively staff that made it a pleasant experience.
We celebrated my daughter's 24th birthday and it was great. Even though we did not have the view of the airplanes taking off and landing, our party of eight was more comfortable in this seating area and could easily converse with each other. This area also had music that was at the perfect volume. Our waiters were excellent and very pleasant.
WE BOOKED RESERVATIONS FOR WINDOW SEATING AND ARRIVED 5 MINUTES BEFORE OUR SCHEDULED 7:30 PM SLOT. THEY WALKED US TO SEAT US RIGHT AWAY BUT ANOTHER COUPLE TOOK OUR TABLE; THEY HAD MOVED FROM ONE TABLE TO ANOTHER. THE HOSTESS ASKED US TO STAND AND WAIT AND IN FRONT OF EVERYONE GAVE US A HIGH PITCHED ANSWER WHY WE COULD NOT BE SEATED AT THE TABLE WE REQUESTED DAYS BEFORE. IT WAS VERY EMBARRASING. IT WAS ONLY TWO OF US AND WE SPENT $140. SAD THAT A HIGH PAYING CUSTOMER WOULD BE TREATED LIKE THIS. WE DO NOT PLAN ON RETURNING HOWEVER WE DID ENJOY THE MEAL. IT WAS TASTEFULLY PREPARED AND DELICIOUS. OTHER THAN THAT, YOUR STAFF NEEDS TO TRAINED TO THE SCALE OF THE AMBIENCE, FOOD AND PRICING. LOWER CLASS STAFF TO HIGH CLASS AMBIANCE AND FOOD. WHAT IRONY!
We made reservations for the Thanksgiving dinner. Is was delicious. The service was excellent. We were lucky enough to sit by the windows to watch the planes take off and land. We thought the prices were reasonable . We will return to try their regular menu.
For those who live in Miami, the Miami Spice menu is still available. The drinks were top shelf and reasonable. The wait staff was excellent and close by when needed. We had the prime rib and a new York cut. Both were excellent and the meat was exceptional. From the Miami Spice menu we had escargot and shrimp cocktail for appetizers , the prime rib and New York steak for main entrée, and key lime pie with coffee for desert. Those meals were $39 each. Parking can be a problem on weekends.
We decided to try this restaurant due a Groupon deal.
The place is very nice with a unique decor.
The service was ok, nothing outstanding. The hostess forgot to check me in and I almost had trouble with Open Table.
My scallops did not have much taste.
The filet mignon ordered by my husband was too raw ( he ordered medium).
The beer had a fair price ($ 4 domestic per bottle)
Probably I would not return.
The place was great. Food was fantastic and service was top notxh. Whenever my drink was low, the server was right there with a refill. The only complaint is, after we had got into the car. We 're looked at the bill and noticed we got charged a extra appetizer, it wasn't too much extra but just make sure to check your receipt before you leave.
I showed up promptly for my 9 p.m. reservation and was told that although I had a reservation for two people that the wait was still between 30 minutes and an hour for a table. I was not offered a drink at the bar, and appetizer, nothing just the privilege and honor of waiting up to an hour for a reservation that we made through OpenTable, a prestigious online reservation website which we never had this kind of problem with before. The only excuse they offered was that they had to accommodate a late party of 20 that did not have a reservation and for these people they made everyone who did have a reservation wait an hour. I will not be back, I would not recommend this establishment, unless you have hours to spend waiting for a table even with a reservation.
Awesome food!!! Really fun kitschy place with fun ambience and watching planes take off and land. Still wowed by the quality and quantity of food - there was at least 3/4 lb of steak on my plate!! Highly recommend, and we will be back when we're back in Miami!
Little Miami gem. This restaurant conserve the charm of an Armed forces Officers club vintage look. The Runway view it is fantastic and you can really listen the conversation between the control tower and the pilots leaving/coming the airport.
The food it is very tasty and the portions really generous. The service was amazing.
