While most of the people in our party enjoyed their meals, we found the Caesar salad overdressed and the deviled eggs very blah. We know you can do better! Next time we won't be choosing from the happy hour menu. Our best experiences have been when we got a real meal, and often the server's suggestion of the chef's special. We will come back.
The salmon and shrimp entree, which was also gluten free, was delicious! Outdoor seating on the sidewalk in August was perfect. Fun watching the locals and tourists going by, and beautiful weather. A quick cross -of -the- street to the historic and renowned Tower Theater for a performance was also a treat. Highly recommended even with the $$$ menu. One main entree, two glasses of wine and 20% gratuity was $62.00 for one person. Small dishes and appetizers are also an option. I'll return there!
My wife and I had a late night dinner here and were surprised by the level of the cuisine. She had the salmon and I had the rotisserie chicken and a wonderful Caesar salad, with fresh anchovies. They both came with a delicious mix of kale and corn -quite unusual.
Our server was knowledgeable and left us alone to enjoy our dinner, but was there when we needed her.
Great service - we were a party of 9 with 5 children and they seated us upstairs in an area by ourselves. It was much appreciated. I was also able to make the reservation online with 1.5 hours notice.
Once there, the service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and our tables were frequently bussed over the course of the meal so we were not crowded with plates. The food was good and the menu seemed geared to 'foodies' but the menu felt limited to me. A few more choices would have been appreciated. Especially as the online description described the menu as "Mediterranean," which doesn't seem to me a good description. I think that was a mistake on someone's part.
Regardless, what we ordered was well prepared. I had the filet minion on potato pancake, which was excellent. The combination of the beef with the potato was an excellent flavor pairing. A couple of us had the fried chicken special, which was good, but somewhat too spicy. One of us got the squid special which was also good. The kids meals were well received by our 5, 7, and 8 year olds.
In general, it seems a great date night restaurant or a good foodie favorite (if I lived in the area I would certainly go again), but the ambiance, menu, and high prices weren't really well suited for our child-heavy group.
Ate here while visiting from the East Coast. This was the best food for value during our first week in Oregon. The buttermilk fried chicken special, shrimp risotto and prosciutto pizza were all great. The chocolate desert that came with the special was worth the cost of the entire meal. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Bend.
We had a wonderful dinner celebrating a few occasions and Eric was keen to attend to all the needs of a large group. It was very clear how important it was for every detail to be focused on and the staff was top notch as well as the food. We enjoyed oysters and the full depth of the menu through desert was fantastic! Our table for 10 was even wonderful ensuring we all could participate in the conversation. Thank you!
900 Wall has a creative menu, based on fresh ingredients and innovative preparations. They use a lot of fresh vegetables and have a long list available as sides. Tempura green beans make a great starter. Is very noisy inside, but had a nice selection of outside tables to enjoy the food without the noise.
We were hopefully optimistic, as our small plates were pretty good. Though - how do you mess up raw oysters and deviled eggs. Though, when our waiter brought us the "spicy" eggs, and they only tasted mildly mustard-y, I should have been forewarned.
My husband's risotto was tasteless. It did not taste at all like a risotto, it tasted like rice cooked with onions and water. In fact, the most predominate flavor was the onion.
My pork chop with "porcini dumplings" - flavorless, again. And - in addition, the "dumplings" were actually savory bread puddings, and were burnt on the bottom.
Suffice it to say, we were less than pleased.
900 Wall has been one of our favorite downtown Bend sites ever since it was opened. But now it's also my go-to restaurant for client meetings. The staff comes through for me every time and the positive, welcoming feel combined with great food always creates a great first impression of Central Oregon's hospitality for prospects and customers alike. I have even had some customers request 900's email address to share their excellent experience with management. In particular, I always ask for Mark as our server. He brings the perfect blend of friendliness, professionalism and knowledge along with a knack for knowing when to be there for his guests and when to let the conversation flow at the table.
The quality of the food was outstanding. I had the most succulent heirloom tomato salad in my life, followed by salmon so fresh it practically swam onto my plate. The wine list was excellent with local plus California and French. We had a rose called R from Domain Serene in the Willmette. Fresh, with a lovely finish..just a wonderful evening. thank you.
This is a great restaurant in downtown Bend. It is reliably good food with some specials offered each night. It is great for families, couples, a group or whatever. The restaurant makes every effort to accommodate your requests. During the summer it is advisable to get reservations. Nice bar and area with high tables around the bar. You can eat at the bar if that appeals to you. Service is great with your food brought out at a pace that works whether your there for a full dinner or just appetizers. If you are concerned about the pacing of food just let your server know what you wish is and they will fulfill your request.
We have eaten at this restaurant at least once a month and never been disappointed.
The happy hour rocks. Steaks are good, sides excellent. I wait all year for the heirloom tomato and burrata salad. This particular visit, the tomatoes were overripe so, Chef, please take note. Filet was excellent, and the potato side was delish! We always get the carpaccio, too. Will always return again and again.
The food at 900 Wall is always good, but the noise level is really terrible. It's not enjoyable to have to yell at the person sitting across the table from you. Hopefully they will invest in some noise abatement technology to bring the atmosphere up to the quality of the food.
We got there a little ahead of our reservation but were seated promptly. The Restraunt was full. Service good. Katie was our waitress. Great wine list. Had a nice Ridge Zin. I had lamb shank which was. Properly seasoned and cooked just right. The Cesar salad was good, we split the salad. My wife had the salmon and shrimp. The salmon was overcookef and only 3 shrimp that were way over seasoned. The place was clean. I would return next time in Bend.
Overall, our experience was pretty good. We went here during a very busy time for them as Summer Festival downtown was going on. So the ambiance was a little loud. However, despite how busy it was we received great service from our server. The food and drinks came quick and everything tastes delicious.
Both my wife and I chose the 900 Wall Burger. This has to be the best burger in town! It just melts in your mouth. I had them put on Gorgonzola cheese on mine and that just made it more the better.
I would give 900 Wall five stars, however I did request that it was our anniversary and they did nothing to honor that, not even a "Happy Anniversary". So for that reason I gave them four stars. The restaurant itself was amazing and we had a fantastic time. We will definitely be going back again.
Brought my friends from out of town. They loved the atmosphere and downtown Bend location. Great service - we relaxed and never felt rushed! Our server was attentive and fun. Made a great impression - they will definitely be back and recommend to other visitors!
900 Wall is a great location for special occasions or even just a casual night out. Both entrees we got were delicious, there is a variety of choices for all kinds of taste buds. Can't speak to the wine/beer/spirits list because we brought our own bottle of wine, but they do only charge a $10 corking fee. Will be back for our next weekend getaway in Bend!
This was third visit across several years or we would have been much more disappointed. They should take the rotisserie chicken off the menu or figure something out---tasteless. But the burger and fries are very good as is the wine list. Our goat cheese tart appetizer was also very good; the chicken liver pate was a big disappointment and that seems pretty hard to mess up (just like the chicken). The noise level was very high but we had a very good waiter, very pleasant---definitely not fine dining but a good bar scene or good for groups. We would return for lite fare and probably sit at the bar.
Waiter was ok. He seemed more concerned with other tables than with us, even directly putting us off once because another table "required him immediately." My wife's steak was delicious and reasonably priced. We were very disappointed in the kid's meal. The chicken was limited to a few sparse pieces of dark meat. My son wouldn't touch it and ate my meal instead. He usually scarfs down chicken, but this had little flavor. We probably won't return to this restaurant primarily based on the price of the kids meal for the quality in return. Also the wait staff didn't make us feel valued or important.
I have been here several times, as a 2-some, as a 4-some and in a group of 10. Every time--the service is out of this world! Wine list is pretty cool, a little different but begs for adventure. The food is locally sourced and never fails! I don't have kids, but I see many there and they aren't going hungry and they aren't unhappy!
I love 900 Wall. The happy hour menu is a great deal, the drinks are very good, the food is wonderful. I love that they installed some tall booths which help to soundproof the dining, in the spacious, open room. The service is always good, and the daily specials exciting and delicious.
We enjoyed our time at 900 wall. The bus boys were very attentive and our food came promptly. Our server was friendly, but slow. All she did was take our orders and bring the check. the rest of the staff refilled our waters, brought our food, packed the leftovers, and cleared our plates. The Food was delicious. We had the quinoa fritters with spicy aoli. You get 4 and they were delicious. Entrées we had fried chicken special with mashed potatoes and green beans. The Chicken had spicy breading and was crispy and tastey. The tagliatelle with spicy sausage was filling and very good. Desserts are to die for. The chicken special came with dessert. it was a chocolate mousse and chocolate flourless cake with a chocolate ganache drizzled on top on a bed of raspberry purée. We also ordered the beignets. They were perfectly prepared. Casual place with reasonable prices.
visited your restaurant on 3/27 for my daughters birthday as it was recommended. food was great but the service was horrible. limited attention to table, split water (when we got it) with no clean up. Several tables around us had good service so we were confused why are table was isolated. To put it simple probably won't be coming back for another experience.
I'm a big fan of the small plate and the devilled eggs have not failed to deliver. I love the creamy horseradishy lushishness of simple devilled eggs. I also had the ceasar salad which is a lovely presentation with the layers of croutons. I got the Washington State Pinot flight, loving all but one of the wines. Our waiter was friendly and prompt, really understanding the nuance of a table in deep conversation and I appreciated his patiences and continual checking back.
Our first visit was for a belated Valentine's Day dinner on Sunday evening. Without question, the food and service were excellent! However, the noise was off the charts! We were seated at a table for 2 upstairs. We literally had zero opportunity to have any type of conversation due to the loud table of 6 next to us and the table of 12 behind us with 6 small children. While the children themselves were not overly noisy, they were out of their seats and congregating at the stairs by our table. It should have been a relaxing dinner, while enjoying your wonderful food and each other's company, but we instead hurried through the meal to escape the overwhelming noise and activity.
