   Wasn’t aware the patio was closed. It was loud and impersonal. The waitress seemed bothered to help, the tuna tasted like canned, and the steak was no longer on the menu. Very disappointed, we left after appetizers and went to Jeff Ruby’s.

   Love that there is a Black executive chef at this restaurant. It really was the selling point. We enjoyed the food and the service was great.

   We were very excited about going - only to find out the patio was closed - we sat inside next to a group of kids who were running around by the bar area (not the ambience I'm looking for on a Saturday night at a bar at 8:30). Our waitress came by and gave us water and then didn't come back for 20 minutes, the manager looked our way but when I went to speak to him as we were leaving he was nowhere to be found either. Since we just had the water, we left and do not plan on returning.

   We planned dinner, ordered a nice wine and an appetizer but decided not to stay. The fryer grease was old and there were fruit flies annoying our table. Our server was great, but some more engaged management is clearly needed.

   Food, drink and service top notch. Best ginger ale ever--wish I knew what it was or a recipe. Peach cobbler dessert was designed to overflow the glass, but they placed a napkin on the saucer so you couldn't eat anything that ran over.

   I enjoyed the ambience, the food was great quality. I’d like to see more portions for the pricing, but I understand the why behind it. Overall, everyone was really nice and accommodating. I give it four stars because I. Enjoy the crab cake. The Mac and cheese, And lastly the Caesar salad.

   Love 8Up. This wasn’t best experience. Food & Service were exceptional. The ambiance left a lot to be desired. Our table felt like we wee in the middle of room/felt like being in fishbowl. It was loud, could barely hold conversation. There was a loud group in the area for large groups, loved they were having fun, but it was really loud. Very out of ordinary for 8Up but something to take into consideration

    Grabbed a quick bite and drink. The food was good, average service but the area was very noisy. This made it difficult to select food and didn’t help the overall experience. Pricey for the food/drinks.

    Long wait for drink order and then, wrong drink. Not enough servers. When food finally came out, it was barely warm. Valet parking was $26. Won't go back.

    Waited 10 mins to be seated with a reservation. Seat at table was filled with breadcrumbs. Waited another 10 mins to be a acknowledged by a server, who was great when she finally showed. Food was good, except the short ribs which were half fat. Will likely visit again. Just hope they work out some kinks.

    The short rib pizza had no meat on any slices. The tuna salad looked and tasted like canned tuna and was sent back. The chicken sliders were dry and the wings were just okay. Uncharged $8 for a margarita that wasn't made as requested.

    The restaurant was so dark people were using the lights on their cell to read the menu. I used my light to look at my food she it arrived. Waitress was at best irritated the whole time. We got a small cheese pizza, shared a salad, and 2 beers and our check was over $50. And the pizza, Dominos is SO much better, gas station pizza is better. Salad had wilted lettuce. I had to pic through it with my cell phone light just so I didn’t eat a bite of slimey lettuce. Don’t waste your time and money… just door dash.

    Great Ambience. Me and my fiancé both had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. Amazing portion that filled us both up. Was not a fan of their upside down pineapple cake but only because it was an overload of sweetness.

    We met at 8Up for an early dinner before a show. The food and service were very good, the room was noisy and a little cold. I loved the pizza.

    Everything was great from top to bottom. The service was great, staff was attentive and helped us celebrate our son’s birthday. Food was good with fresh ingredients, the salmon was spectacular. The Tahini Tuna did not know what it wants to be, the flavors didn’t pair well for me but the wings and greens appetizer was tasty, especially the greens. Nice crowd and good vibes on a cold Tuesday night in November.

    Food was cold and over priced. I’ve had better frozen pizza. Drinks were overpriced. Bathrooms looked like that of a truck stop they were so filthy. Hostess looked like she just woke up and hopped out of bed and was not friendly at all. I would not waste my time or money going here ever again.

    Wonderful location, unfortunately the sunset was peripheral. The buildings next door obscured the drama. Just check the stars etc. If you are going there for sunset views. Otherwise a good option for outside dining

    We went to 8UP as a happy hour stop between events for a birthday. The restaurant was beautiful and the city skyline views were awesome. The food and drinks were delicious. The ‘A little bit of sunshine’ cocktail was the favorite of my group. We ordered the chicken wings, miners potatoes, margherita pizza and pineapple upside down cake to share between 3 people. There was plenty of food for the group and all of it was delicious but the favorites were the miner’s potatoes and the pineapple upside down cake. Also our server Isaiah was awesome and answered all of our questions and was fast and friendly. We will absolutely be back!

    My friend and I went to 8Up for my birthday. We had the kale and artichoke dip and chips to start with cocktails. They were all excellent. I asked the server (a young blond woman) about the first drink on the cocktail list called the 'Classic'. I said, "Is it just like an old-fashioned?" She said it was. It was a delicious drink. To our surprise at the end of the dinner when we received the bill we found out the Classic was $24! I had three, so $72 was quite a bar tab for me! We did not notice the cost of the drink on the menu. I don't know if it was small or what, but usually, when I order an old-fashioned it is usually around $10-$12. I guess it must have had a special bourbon or something. We felt a little taken advantage of. I called the manager the next day (yesterday) to discuss the bill, but he/she has not returned my call. For dinner, I had the salmon entree and a chocolate mousse dessert. Both were delicious. The view of the city, comfortable sofas, and outdoor heating made the atmosphere very enjoyable. Be careful what you order to drink.
