Amazing food, service and atmosphere.
The whole city is struggling with service and this place especially
Bachelorette Dinner
Waitress was terrible and very very rude.
Very limited menu
Slow service
Not welcoming at all
Several attempts to confirm reservation with manager due to special occasion and zero call backs.
Would not go here again. Still left 20% because I used to be a server but was completely let down by this place.
Service was fantastic! Food was excellent - especially the brussel sprouts! Music was a bit louder than necessary, but didn't negatively impact our experience. Will definitely be back!
Our server was great. Drinks were good. We ordered the pineapple upside down cake that was terrible and the french vanilla cheesecake taste like it came out of a box but was okay. When back in town will probably go back for drinks and the ambiance.
Showed up 15 minutes early for our reservation. Waited 30 minutes to get a table. Then after 40 minutes at an empty table we went to the host and asked when we would be waited on. They apologized and offered to comp the appetizer. Then they didn't actually comp the appetizer. I was highly displeased as this was my wedding anniversary.
Waitress was a little preoccupied with other tables, had to ask for water on several occasions
Hamburger was ordered medium but came out rare. Chicken sliders didn’t come until everyone else was done eating.
Wonderful time! Very few food choices. Possibly due to COVID 19. Awaiting my next visit!
We really enjoyed ourselves my mom especially it was her 50th birthday and we will be back
Limited menu but nice atmosphere and the server was nice.
Made a reservation and was told upon arrival there would be a 30 minute wait if we wanted to sit inside and a 15 min wait to sit outside in the 40 degree weather. Luckily we were able to grab a ($20) cocktail at the bar during our wait. 35 minutes later we were sat in the corner and forgotten about. We waited another 30 minutes and decided to take our business elsewhere. Don’t bother waisting your time here!
#Louisvillerestaurantweek! Such a great deal! This was a delayed birthday dinner for my mom and we enjoyed every bit! Earlier in the week, I sent mom the menus of all the restaurants participating and she said she wanted shrimp and grits. 8 Up it is. There was so much food! I could have made a dinner out of the Brussels sprouts appetizer! We basically shared one meal and she took the other home, the shrimp was perfectly cooked with the grits and the bourbon, pineapple upside down cake was the perfect ending. I wish we had walked out on the rooftop earlier... the heaters and table fireplaces would have been plenty warm enough for us to enjoy our evening on the rooftop. Don’t be afraid... even in the 50’s with a nice sweater, we would have been very comfortable!
Our server was great! She was attentive, helpful, and accommodating. The ambiance was great as always. Love the atmosphere. Cocktails were delicious but a little over priced in my opinion. We did the restaurant week meal deal and while only $36 for 3 courses, we felt it was a mistake for both of us to do it. The appetizer of Brussel sprouts, while good, was way too large of a portion for 1 person and with it being our only option for the app, it was way too much having two servings. We felt the same about dessert. A whole dessert basically went to waste and because it was covered in ice cream so we couldn’t bring it home. For the entree, I felt the portion was good and the shrimp were delicious but the grits were grainy and lacked in flavor. There was also way too much grits to shrimp. For $36 the amount of food you got was a great deal but for $72 for two people to eat identical meals, it was regretful. Overall I would come back but probably not for restaurant week.
Disappointed to learn the bar did not have access to Big Ten Network for Men's Basketball games upon arrival. Returned for ACC match-up but did not have great TV screen view. The Bacon Cheeseburger, Brussel Sprouts, and Parmesan Fries were decadent and helped assuage our NCAA withdrawal.
Made reservations for 10pm arrived to find out our reservation he been giving to Wasn’t seated till 1035 orders appetizers the chicken was old never received our full appetizer order before they told us the kitchen was close we couldn’t place our order
The decor is contemporary with spacious dining area,The Food was delicious and service was great.
The female hostess was awful and non attentive and kept the black crowds waiting 30 minutes or longer past their reservation time without any communication. I had to continuously ask her what the hold was as she seated others who came in way past their reservation time ( I asked the patrons of their times). The manager kept walking by not saying anything about the issue, once finally seated it took forever for the waiter to even take our drink orders. The food took FOREVER!!!! for no reason because it was not a crowded night AT ALL! I got there at 830 and didn't go up until 850 for my 9:00 reservation, hostess continuously said wait because it was still a few minutes until 9, 9:00 still not seated, 9:15 she still said wait, 9:30 she still said wait! We get seated mind you just a party of two, we get seated at 9:47 and didn't get drinks until 10:00 PM and food at 10:32 PM. The menu was so little and so subpart it was ridiculous and not everyone eats duck or duck fat! All we were stuck to order with was burgers and fries unfortunately. I could've stayed home and made that. The soda was flat with no fizz in it, the wine was dry and super bitter. The worst!!!!!! First time EVER!!!!!!!! Never again will I go back nor recommend this travesty to anyone!!!!
They were completely out of the 3 main dishes.Brussels sprouts were great! Pizzas were meh! Salads were not even an option. I will not be back
Our sever was really great, and honestly she was the only thing that saved the dinner at all. She earned a good tip regardless. I should have asked for a different table to start. We were seated off in a corner without a view of the city. Our table was wobbly, but I didn’t want to be a pain. They were busy, but seemed well staffed enough for the crowd, especially considering multiple times there we saw staff standing around talking at the bar. Our drinks took around 10 minutes to get to the table after we ordered them, the bar did not seem busy. I had a bourbon and she had a signature cocktail. The bourbon was great, but you can’t mess that up. For a $20 cocktail it better be great, but it was just mediocre. I had the burger and she had the tacos. We received my burger, and were told the tacos would be right out. We split my fries and waited patiently. The fries and the aoli were great. Our waitress apologized as she brought out the tacos about 10 minutes later. They were cold, and by that time so was my burger. The food tasted great, but the the wait and the temperature ruined it. The portion of the duck tacos were small. Again thankfully the waitress sensed our frustration and took the tacos off our bill. Could have been a great experience, but for the price tag you expect great service all around. We won’t be returning there.
Great service, great food and staff was superb.
This was one of our best stops for cocktails while visiting Louisville for small getaway and we tried a few appetizers that were absolutely fabulous as well. Will definitely be back the next time we visit!
Everyone was very hospitable. Little disappointed by the limited menu due to the pandemic but everything we had was very good. Ambiance was nice for a winter night out.
We were expecting more of a selection for food. Two of the items on the menu were at least 125.00. We did not like the selection at all we ordered a hamburger and two order of fries and went somewhere else to eat.
Food was good, the guacamole and truffle pizza is what we ordered. Guac gave a good amount and was delicious, however, the truffle pizza was way overpriced. Our waiter was seriously the worst ever. Hardly came to our table and when he did to drop off something we ordered he immediately turned and walked away. Went 45 minutes without water refilled, never got asked how our food or drinks were, had to ask three times for silverware, just horrible service all around. The food was good but will not return.
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday for drinks. Expensive but worth it
The pork shoulder was outstanding and could have easily served four versus just my wife and I — but it was delicious !! Josh did a great job serving and was spot on with his bourbon recommendations. In fact we liked the food so much we came back the next night for the Tomahawk Ribeye. Thank you for a couple great nights of dining !!
New Years celebration! It was sooo much fun!
Reserved a table for 2 on New Years Eve. Tables spread out, clean and server wore a mask. Good cocktail selection. Basic wine list. Choice between 4 entrees or bar menu. Upscale choices. Everything was very nice.
It would be great if the restaurant could put more covered area in the outside dining area! As it was so cold that we had to leave early.
I reserved an igloo and when we arrived, they said they didn’t have that for us, only general outdoor seating was available. They seated us in wet chairs, far from any heat source and don’t come to take our drink order for nearly 20 minutes. We got up and left. Terrible customer service. Didn’t even apologize.
Great cocktails and atmosphere. Staff was attentive and our server was awesome.
Food is diner quality at best. Not flavorful or innovative. Things like potatoes having no seasoning at all. Meats (everything we had) tasting baked, without any char, seasoning or sauce either. Based on the prices, this food should have been much better, end to end.
We should have left when we found it difficult to even get to the restaurant! Elevators not working, wrong signage, etc....We had reservations for an igloo. They took us out on the deck and left us. Didn't tell us where to sit. Seats were wet. I went in to say we reserved an igloo. They said sure but we would have to wait an hour even though no one was in them. They gave us a towel to wipe off our seats. Told us it is a minimum purchase of $200 for an igloo That was fine but we would still have to wait! Then a waiter came out and told us it was going to rain.
We walked out. Worst experience in a restaurant EVER!!! Didn't even eat. 10 people employed just standing around yet no one helped us.
The coolest rooftop bars i have ever experienced! Firepits igloos, string lighting and fantastic view. Highly recommend. $300min for igloo. Ahi tuna tacos and squash bacon Flatbread to die for
The staff members specifically Jeff and gialana were great and super helpful when I needed assistance with something
I have been several times and the reduction of the menu was disappointing
Thank you Dylan for your feedback and repeat business, it is truly appreciated. Due to COVID19 we have reduced our menu selection selection for the Rooftop and Lounge space. However we plan to re-open the dining room in early December which will have additional menu items. We look forward to your return visit, and I would be happy to personally setup a reservation for you at that point. Kind Regards, Nick Kowalski Director of Food and Beverage
My husband and I were looking to have a nice dinner on the rooftop with great views. We had looked at reviews and at the menu listed online before making reservations. When we got to the restaurant for our reservation the menu was not the menu we had seen online and instead was mainly snacks. This was not what we expected, we had eaten light all day and had dressed up to enjoy a nice dinner together. When we asked the staff we were told the menu had been changed that day. We ended up leaving and finding somewhere else to go. Very disappointing.
Due to COVID19, menu was Very limited; however our food order was excellent. Apparently it was first day of new menu and there were no dessert items at all for us to order which was disappointing. We would definitely go back even with the limits we experienced. Atmosphere was great.
Awesome to eat outside with the view and a toasty warm heater right next to us. Drinks were good and food was excellent.
We made a reservation weeks in advance for our wedding anniversary, and put that in the reservation notes. We arrived early and they sat us at an extremely uncomfortable bar high top table outside and then nobody came to take our drink order for 35 minutes. The guy who did come to take our order eventually seemed to be the only one doing anything and he was very apologetic. But then, he took the drink order and it took another 15 minutes to get our drinks because they didn't have a bartender. There was a guy working behind the bar outside who watched us sit for that entire time, took the orders of 2 other parties sitting near us, but always avoided eye contact with us. I guess we weren't in his section, but he could have at least acknowledged us. A manager guy in a nice suit was walking around a bit too, but again, only our waiter seemed to be doing anything. Instead of having dinner, we made a reservation elsewhere and paid for our drinks, tipped the poor overburdened server, and left. We won't be going back.
