   Birthday celebration for our 18 year old son with sibling & grandparents we had 9 all together. Great service and Chef Glen made sure our vegetarian Mom had a custom selection. The s’more’s pie birthday dessert was fabulous.

   The duck was perfectly cooked and sauce wonderful. Accompanied with blue cheese bread pudding which was the stand-out of all food ordered at our table. Would also highly recommend the short rib sliders. Our server was attentive and we enjoyed our conversation with the chef. Many thanks.

   Food was fantastic!! I’ve had steaks this good in Chicago and didn’t expert such wonderful flavor and presentation in a small town like Baldwin. Price was far below what you’d pay in Grand Rapids. Such a nice restaurant. Service was wonderful. Well worth the scenic drive north of Grand Rapids.

    We had a great time at 876. The food was outstanding. Went for BBQ night, both the ribs and brisket were delicious. 1 in our party had a NY strip steak and said it was very good. The drinks were delicious also. Very friendly staff, the chef even came out to see how things were.

    We dine early because we have a long drive home. 876 is worth the drive for a great dinner prepared by a special chef. Have known the chef for several years. Chef prepares unique dishes.

    We just had to come back here again! Had a fabulous meal just a few days prior. And.. once again it did not disappoint. If you are on a date night or coming in with the guys and gals from hunting, fishing or whatever, this place is perfect. Atmosphere is inviting, casual but with a “cool vibe” flair - but not overstated. The menu selection offers something for everyone with a few original dishes… and with an attractive plated presentation too. Great place. Terrific bar… Highly recommend. ( also our server was awesome!)

    Such a pleasant surprise! Last night my husband and I enjoyed the level of culinary excellence that one would typical go searching for closer to a big city! The flavors in each dish are so memorable that we are still talking about it today. How fortunate for the town of Baldwin to have this gem… we are definitely coming back.

    We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The server was pleasant and efficient. The food was great! The chef came out a couple of times and talked with us about food prep and our level of satisfaction. The decor is great. There’re also heated toilet seats. We will definitely go back!!

    First two visits to 876 were quite enjoyable, last night, not so much. Our waitress upon delivering drinks and food seemed to go AWOL. My steak was not prepared the way I had asked, and I had to wait for the chef to come out to asked to have it cooked some more. The chef was quite accommodating and took the steak back and prepared it to my liking. I’m not sure that the waitress ever knew that had happened. Also not happy with the reservation system. It asks if there is something the customer is celebrating. Each of our three times there we were celebrating either birthdays or anniversaries and it was never acknowledged. And I’d say 44 years of marriage is definitely worth a free dessert or something! 876 was going to be our go to place for special occasions, but I’m not sure will be back. Too pricey for a substandard experience.

    This has become our favorite restaurant. Great selection, expertly prepared. They are attentive to updating the menu selection periodically based on the season and fresh produce available. The service is always outstanding.

    Anniversary dinner. It’s an hour and a half drive from where we live but worth it. We know the chef and if it was closer to where we live ,we would go more often.

    The ambiance was great except for the loud bar music. They might consider changing/toning down the music to a more hotel/relaxing genre. Otherwise our evening was lovely. One other suggestion is the light coming in the front windows was a bit Brit. Maybe a window tint or semi sheer shade would help.
