   Although we were initially disappointed because they were out of crab dip and salmon, we ordered the shrimp and grits as our server Juan suggested, and we ordered the special of the day roasted hen. She LOVED the shrimp and grits and I loved the hen. Great dishes, and our server was excellent. It's always a lovely experience at the Partridge Inn. Drinks before dinner with Skyler were yummy too. Anyone who wants a beautiful atmosphere eating a scrumptious meal outside on the veranda should definitely go to the Partridge Inn 8595 Restaurant and Bar.

   Best advice is to skip this restaurant. At minimum maybe have a drink but the food is over priced for the quality served. Food was typical hotel food at best; served cold or unevenly heated. Service is very slow and below standards. Atmosphere was ok, outside seating was nice. Music inside was too loud for our liking. We were very disappointed and won’t be going back or recommending it.

   We had a party of Three. Two of us sat in on the booth side and the other person sat in a chair across from us. Due to the different height levels between the two, the person in the chair was towering over us and the table on the booth side went up to our chest. It was a little uncomfortable. That really wasn’t the issue. The issue was two of us ordered fried chicken and it was not cooked through. There was still blood. We did bring it up and didn’t want another order, but it didn’t seem to matter to the manager. They also had food items on the menu that wasn’t available. We did enjoy our waitress. I wouldn’t go back again as it wasn’t worth the almost three hundred price tag.

   Our second visit and there will be more. This hidden gem offers a wonderful menu range all prepared as expected and very good. The quiet atmosphere lends itself to great conversation and the service is attentive, yet not interfering.

    While the menu is extensive the prices are a bit of a reach for the food quality and quantity. I believe a whole chicken is somewhere in the neighborhood of $75 and is called a "small plate." The hosts and waitstaff were very friendly but the service did not rise to the level it should be at for this caliber of dining. We started at 6pm and before the end of our meal all conversation was drowned out by the live entertainment. She was very good but much too loud for the relatively small dining area.

    very nice experience did not like how the hostess introduced herself by saying we are about to close up the bar and everything else … we made a reservation at 8:30 showed up 8:35 and they said oh we thought y’all weren’t coming lol so what is the 20 min grace period for like cmon do better than that why does the restaurant accept reservations around that time if they close up around 8:45 …. aside from that everyone was fine the food is great

    The restaurant was very nice and such a pretty evening to sit outside. However, the prices were absolutely ridiculous compared to the quality. The crab dip came with old, stale tortilla chips-lesser quality than the free ones at a Mexican restaurant. My husbands mussels were too salty to even enjoy and it was like a chicken broth. My shrimp and grits were ok, not impressive at all. Overall, terrible experience and will not be bask aside from drinks at the bar. The service was good, no real complaints about that.

    At there for dinner and everything was very good. Skip the dessert, really not worth the calories. With that said, ate there for breakfast and did not have a great experience. Very short staffed, and the ones who were working, really didn't seem like they had it together. Will definitely go back for dinner.

    Don’t bother going. Overly priced for subpar food and drinks. They want $92 for Jerk Chicken! We paid $100 too much for catfish and ribs. They give the appearance of a high end restaurant but they don’t measure up. Asparagus were cold. The ribs were dry! They cooked them early and leave them under a heating lamp and add BBQ sauce when they receive an order. They must have been out all day. Ugh! I don’t like cheese on my catfish and why add wet toppings on fried fish? That makes the fish soggy! Took over 25 minutes to receive our food & there were only 4 other tables with customers. Won’t be back.

    We are outdoors on a beautiful evening. Our waiter has been there for many years and is delightful. Our shrimp and grits and gumbo were excellent as were our fried green tomatoes.

    Went there for Easter Brunch and we will never return. Grossly overpriced for grossly cooked food… what a ripoff! Omelette bar was the only thing decent. Shrimp, crayfish, and prime rib was all overcooked. Vegetables were the large canned variety just dumped in a Sterno heated pan. Salad was fresh and tasty. Desserts were plentiful but on par with a box of Betty Crocker. Mimosas were $10 a pop when it should have been inclusive. Seriously, I felt like I had been robbed. Simply atrocious tasting food and the chef (don’t think there is one) should be fired immediately.

    The silver dishes of BBQ, peel and eat shrimp, crab legs and corn on the cob although wonderful and worth the price of an Easter buffet were difficult to eat in my new Easter ensemble. I didn’t eat any of the above because I was afraid of dripping butter or BBQ sauce on my new dress. These items are more for an outdoor picnic or low country boil outside. My husband chose to go the breakfast option. He got biscuits and was looking for the white gravy. I asked our server and she went back to the kitchen and fortunately they had gravy leftover from breakfast which she brought to our table. I believe we saw our waitress 3 times. She kept the dirty dishes off the table and brought our water and a check. I felt an automatic tip of $26 was a bit high even if it was Easter. The food was good but I must say I was very disappointed in paying $154 for two people and we did not have any alcoholic drinks. I will really have to think hard if I would come back to another special occasion and pay $60 a person plus automatic, 20% tip. The table next to us certainly got their moneys worth in the huge platter of crab legs they both got and the number of trips they made to the buffet. One last comment. Please try to find another place to put your hot buffet items rather than position it so high on top of the bar. I am 5 foot four but it for me it’s even a little difficult getting food from the buffet services.

    Booked a brunch reservation using Open table at 9 am on Easter Sunday. The menu link provided by the app showed a wonderful menu and I was so excited to try it. When I arrived to the restaurant, I was informed Brunch didn’t start until 11 but we could have a breakfast buffet. The buffet was an empty bacon platter, French toast so tough I needed a steak knife to cut it and oatmeal. The only saving grace was a delightful woman making eggs. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. Open table and the restaurant need to make clear that brunch starts at 11 and anything before that is not worth the trip. I let the staff know when I was there but I was dismissed

    Dinner at 8595 was excellent! The food and service were outstanding! The hush puppies, fried green tomatoes, and shrimp and grits were delicious. Others in our party had the duck fat fried chicken, Scottish Salmon, lobster mac & cheese, and collard greens which were all great.

    We ate dinner on the porch during Masters weekend. The food and service were great, but the noise level on the porch from loud mufflers and sirens was terrible. The sound just bounced around the porch, making it all even louder. Probably quieter during non-Masters weekends but something to think about.

    My brother and I were visiting Augusta in April for the Masters. I was in charge of dinner rezys, and was looking for something of the "old South". 8595 is located in the Partridge Inn, a beautiful old home/Inn. The menu had a number of classic southern dishes. It was a warm evening, so we elected to sit on the outdoor veranda, where is was delightful and quieter than the indoors bar area. The Fried Green Tomato app was wonderful and the shrimp and grits very good. The grits were very rich and creamy. Shrimp are so tricky to cook, and these were a bit overcooked. But overall the food, service and venue were delightful.

    Worst experience EVER!! Picked a high-end place for a special occasion (my son's birthday that was planned weeks in advance). The noise was so bad they stuck us in a remote room with no lighting and no heat. The only thing on menu that we wanted was not available. At that point we should have walked out. We ordered a salad and entrees (a $62 appetizer lamb chops for me and a $72 steak for my son) the salads came, we finished them and the plates sat for 25 minutes until we asked someone else to remove them. Our waitress had disappeared for 30-35 minutes. The table next to ours (who ordered after us) got their entrees before us. We were told 3 times that ours were coming right up. After 1hr and 15 min since our order the entrees were delivered. My lamb chops were RAW (I was very specific that I wanted them medium, not rare and not over done). My son's $72 steak was COLD. I asked for the manager. Of course she was sorry and was going to serve us new entrees right away. At this point nobody was left in the place, so we felt very uncomfortable and frustrated. How long does it take to grill a steak and chops?? We waited another 15 min, and with nobody apparently caring about our meals, we just walked out. We have dined at some of the best places in the world and NEVER had a worse experience. 8595 should be ashamed of the way they treat their costumers at such an overpriced and poorly staffed establishment.

    We were looking forward to our dinner at 8595 but were incredibly disappointed! It was obscenely expensive for what we received. It took 15 minutes to get 2 martinis and one of their signature cocktail AND the martinis were served in plastic glasses, plastic!!!! My salad was the Mason Jar salad for $20 and was the size of a dinner side salad; one meal was Cajun pasta for $75 with a full lobster but they didn’t crack the lobster claws; after squirting lobster juice all over himself; he didn’t bother to crack the 2nd claw; BTW; it went right through him & he spent 30 min in the bathroom as soon as he got home! The fried chicken was good but dry. Popeyes chicken would have been a better value for the money; the Mac and cheese was very goo d. My husband’s second martini was ordered dirty but was straight gin. We were told it was a special Masters Week menu; wondering if the prices were Special as well. We ate dinner at Abel Brown & Craft & Vine since we’ve been in Augusta and what a difference; these are quality restaurants; skip this venue and head to another restaurant in Augusta!

    This was one of those meals where you feel like you've died and gone to Heaven. We shared three entrees: fried catfish over cheese grits topped with lump crabmeat, duck fat fried chicken with mac n cheese and collards, and braised short rib. We had a hot crab dip with chips that was amazing along with a house salad with a delicious sweet potato vinegrette. The service was great and friendly.. all three entrees were so good, it is hard to pick a favorite. The catfish probably was my fave. This will be a must stop every time we are in Augusta.
