815 Chop House
Food and service quite good. And the flexibility relative to diet restrictions was good. But the noise level, despite the restaurant being less than full, made conversation difficult.
So-so. I had a previous dinner experience that was wonderful! I don’t think they have the lunch thing down yet. Not many patrons and still took longer than you’d expect for lunch. 1 hostess/waitress covering everything. Had to ask for drink refills. Not very friendly. All food was very good except the medium burger was well done. I doubt we’ll be back for lunch.
I was disappointed with the service and the quality of the food, particularly in light of the premium price point of the menu
The service was very good but the food was only average at best.
The live music was nice but a little too loud for table conversation.
A friend and I had an excellent meal and adult beverages. We arrived early for dinner to enjoy the beautiful setting and quiet ambience. I had a wonderfully cooked prime rib dinner. My friend the blackened cod sandwich. Delish! Will go back again for early dinner!
The ambience and service were both nice. For the price, the food left something to be desired. A restaurant that advertises themselves as a chophouse should be able to cook their steaks as ordered. My husband ordered his rare, and I ordered mine medium. His came out medium well and mine was extremely rare. They threw it back on the grill and it still was closer to medium rare than a true medium. The actual taste was fine, but nothing to write home about. The brussel sprouts side was really overcooked. The French onion soup included with the entrees was delicious.
Food is good for the price, the restaurant is loud with poor service.
The restaurant is beautiful, we were very excited as we had never been here. Going in we had heard very mixed reviews. When we got our main entree, I had to send my steak back it was cold. The baked potato was room temperature at best, served with dozen butter. When the steak came back, it was warm but not hot. The meat was flavorless.
Was not impressed, was a little on the loud side, had space heater in the room we sat in. There was four of us out of the four only one enjoyed their meal, my sister in law who had a salad, not hard to screw that up., I had a burger that was undercooked and under seasoned. Husband had seafood riosotto too small of portion for the $32 price tag, he walked away still hungry. Brother had rib-eye, this was over seasoned and small, expected a much thicker steak. Won't be on my must go back list
Great place ! Went with friends and had an excellent time. Dinner was fantastic as well.
815 Chop House is a nice place for a quiet lunch. The menu has salads and small plates on one side and sandwiches and wraps on the other side. There is a large selection of entrees. There was one server doing all the jobs (answering phones, making the drinks etc) the day we were there. She was friendly and attentive. There were two soup choices for $5.00. I had the onion soup and it was tasty. There were only two other tables seated with diners during the 2 hours we were at the restaurant. Our food was good and nicely presented. Portions were generous.
Dry good food. Nice family place for good food. My kids want to go back.
Good value. Nice lunch menu. Wonderful service. Good place to go to get caught up with a friend over lunch “in the neighborhood “.
Definitely would go back and recommend!!
Our group of five visited on a Sunday @ lunchtime. There were maybe (at the most) 6-8 other people in the restaurant. There appeared to be only one waitress and she was also tending the bar. It took a little while to get our drink order in and longer than it should have taken to get the drinks. The waitress couldn’t remember who had which drink and one person only had water.
We waited quite awhile for our food to arrive., everyone felt their food was okay but not great. My filet sliders were a little tough. We had to ask twice for water refills.
This place was formerly a “supper club” which closed, believe the same people reopened under 815 Chop House.
Two people stopped by the table (owners?), they did not identify themselves to ask how’s it going?
We all agreed that we don’t need to return.
There was plenty of space throughout the restaurant but no parking onsite. We had a 8:00pm reservation on a Friday night. The service was excellent. We received drinks and bread very quickly. The waiter and busboys were very attentive. The food was unacceptable. I ordered the flat iron steak medium. My steak was beyond well-done. It was barely edible. The rest of my table got burgers and they were also over cooked. They were requested medium-rare and they were also well-done with no pink showing at all. Dry steak, dry burgers. I did want to show my waiter the inside of our steaks and burgers but felt uncomfortable making a scene as there were many people around us. I know this is a newer restaurant but perhaps I’d wait until they get a little bit more experience.
Meal was below average. Beef medallions were tough at medium cooking level. Fish w sauce was very bland. The best thing on our dish was the rice. Service was fine. Won’t be returning or recommending 815 Chop House.
My wife and I were celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary. We had a fantastic time, would suggest some music, other than that it was Great will be coming back.
Tony was our server, high five!
Great food, drinks, and service, I will definitely be coming back!
Excellent food. Service slow.
Went to 815 Chophouse as a last minute decision, made online reservations as we drove by and turned around for 5:30 reservation. Menu is great different options, made it hard to decide what to have. Had Prime rib which was awesome. Great dessert options too. Owner (Paul) came over asked how things were pulled up a chair sat down and talk with my husband and I for awhile. Nice guy. Great experience can’t wait to go back.
We were hoping it would have been better...Two people ordered tenderloin tips that our server said “melts in your mouth” and they were tough and some parts impossible to chew. I had the walleye which was good. I asked for it without the heavy sauce and pecans, and the broccoli was mushy. Way over cooked. Our server was very knowledgeable but slow. I’m not sure how many tables he had. I love the bar, I will go for a drink in the future.
My husband and I both really loved our meals. I had the salmon risotto and it was delicious as was his pork schnitzel.
We enjoyed Anthony who served us and the restaurant is very beautiful! Personally I felt that there were some ‘loose ends’ which need tweaking from the new owners. We had a great evening of laughter, conversation and fun. Thank You
Uh oh. Found myself a new favorite dish besides the French Onion Soup. Lobster Mac and Cheese was the best.
Our waiter was very good and ambience was nice. It was a little loud but that may have just been a that it was Saturday night. Our food tho was not the best. My steak had no flavor and baked potato was lukewarm. My husbands prime rib was tough and also no flavor. Probably will not go back as there are other steakhouses in town with better food and are not so expensive.
Food was very good and the fry twists are very nice change from your typical french fries. Being a new restaurant the staff is still learning the ropes. Look forward to going back again.
The food was excellent. Fairly new restaurant and they are trying to work out some kinks. Impressed with the food. Noise levels were low but we were there on a Tuesday evening and only 3 tables were occupied.
We really enjoyed our wait at the bar. Anthony is a skilled and entertaining bartender unlike anyone we have seen outside of the city. He is a valuable gem!
Our server Caitlyn we remembered from M Supper Club and were thrilled to see her again. She is so good, she remembered us as well. The food was very good, but combined with the high level of service, was a memorable night. We plan on returning and will look forward to Anthony’s exceptional cocktails and Caitlyn’s very attentive service. Keep up the work 815 Chop House
Owner stopped at each table to make sure everything was good and we had no issues. It was and we didn’t! Our friends each had the Saturday night prime rib special and they enjoyed that. We had the beef medallions and the chimichurri sauced flat iron steak. Would recommend both. This was our first time here at this fairly new restaurant. Didn’t find the noise level annoying but we were back in a corner booth. One word of caution if you get a booth...watch your step, especially as you leave the table. We will be back!
The restaurant was nicely appointed. Our waitress was excellent. Food came out hot and nicely plated. We will definitely go there again
Every day out with my wife is a date. We haven’t stopped dating since we met over 13 years ago. And this place has always held great memories even before, when it was M Supper. A lot of the staff are the same now, now serving a simpler but still excellent menu - including great gluten/dairy free options. All of their personnel are well above average, but an especial shout out to Tony. Since there are several Tonys there including the one who makes excellent cocktails, our Tony is the one who looks a little like Xander from the Buffy TV series— with glasses. He is an amazing Host and server/Manager/ Supervisor. Very multi talented indeed! But really all of our servers and hosts have been great and I would strongly recommend you pop in- it feels like home to us!
Really good cod fish fry, with a nice selection of sides. Server was great!
It was great, will go back again.
The service was not as great as it has been in the past. We went hoping to experience the same great service as we have had in the past, but it just missed the mark a bit tonight. We will come back and give it another chance for sure because if our previous experience.
815 Chophouse has a great atmosphere and the staff was incredibly polite and attentive. Unfortunately, the food fell short in 3 of the 4 meals at our table. Perhaps it was an off night? We would certainly give them another chance and see
They deserve your dollars
Very good service and the food was great.
We enjoyed our dinner. The burger was over cooked and under seasoned but overall it was a good experience.
