Completely ruined my wifes birthday dinner. We waited an hour for one serving of bread, we chased a number of times but no one was checking in to either apologise or update us on the progress of our order. We left without being served

We had a great night. Food was lovely but service was average.We had to ask for our salad that we ordered after all mains were delivered, including the chips and dessert took a long time to come. We had to ask if that was forgotten. The chips serving was very small, probably could have had 2 for 4 guests. The steaks were a great portion and was sliced which was a nice touch, served with leaves. We weren’t in a rush or weren’t rushed out, but everything seemed to be super slow, even though there was no shortage of staff on the floor. The one great thing re: service was the water glasses were constantly refilled without asking. The ambience was lovely and we would return.

We really enjoyed our catch up with friends and knew Ian Curley's food would be delicious...and it was. Great wine list and the ambience was great and the restaurant was busy until late with a great buzz. The staff were friendly but the service still needed more polish and efficiency and it lacked attentiveness at times but we thought maybe it was just about being new team learning to gel as it was genuine. We would definitely eat here again it was a fun night.

Exceptionally designed venue intimate yet energetic great acoustics friendly staff well paced meal delivery quality food and reasonably priced Will become one of my locals

Just opened Wine bar & Tapas like food. Dining room not open until mid June. Was great to experience the wines by the glass with different nibbles. Great place for a catch up a little noisy but the service & friendly staff were great. Can’t wait to try Dinner.

Very disappointed. I read a review about this “top quality” restaurant. We were on a small table in the middle of a thoroughfare beside a pole. Many people - staff and customers - knocked into me as I was eating and drinking. It was packed, busy and noisy. I won’t be back. Give me a pub at half the price and half the noise.

Food OK without being great; steak frites was a bit light on the frites. On four occasions the wines-by-the-glass were poured to a level below the line on the glass. If a restaurant is going to use glasses with fill lines, the should at least reach - and ideally be above - the line. Salad ordered with main course did not arrive and needed to be requested.

A fantastic new addition to the Brighton area. Good service, still in early days of getting a team dynamic but overall very attentive. Wonderful to see an establishment with stronly curated wine list. Menu is intetesting but nothing earth shattering here - but reflects teh smarts of a soft opening. Beautifully appointed but the lighting off the back of the bar could be turned down few lumens - i found my eyes becoming sore from the glare through the night. Great start and very interested when te hresturant Baix opens up to support
