The name 809 is derived from the area code (or the most popular) of the Dominican Republic.

809 is a Family owned and operated business which resides in the Inwood area of upper Manhattan an area officially designated "little Dominican Republic"

The food and ambiance at 809 pay homage to the Dominican Republic and its roots by serving a Dominican Inspired Cuisine with dishes educed from traditional Dominican and Latino dishes. Many dishes have a story and names to tie them to places in the DR.

At 809 you can expect a family atmosphere , w/ an eager desire to ensure guest have a great experience.

M - F 11am-5pm we serve Lunch of traditional Dominican food! Sundays we have our "Fiesta Brunch" Where we have a live DJ and occasionally have a Live Dominican tipico band! Brunch is from 12pm-6pm we continue the Party with our "After Brunch Party" until 12AM.

I went on a weekday. It was quoet. Food was good & the waitress was awesome. Looking forward to going back.

The staff was excellent, The ambulance is beautiful and the food was very good and guacamole with the pork chunks was excellent. I would deathly go back love the drinks.

I've gone to this restaurant for Friday's Happy Hour on many occasions and each time, I fall in love with the place more. This last visit, my friend and I were there so long we got the chance to experience some of the live band they had. I love this place from the staff to the ambiance, etc. Will always come back for more.

This is not my first visit. This restaurant lounge is always welcoming and I enjoy my visit every time. The atmosphere is beautiful. The food and drinks are always amazing. I love this spot from the Hostess, Bartenders, Wait staff and the Chef. Will keep coming back.
