   This place is a fine-dining gem (without the inflated prices of similar establishments). From the warm welcome of Carol to Chef Robert's bar-side interaction with the diners, the atmosphere was cosy and convivial, as if we were dining among friends and family. The dishes were creative and delicious, featuring quality, fresh ingredients that were not skimped on, all enhanced by the pretty tableware they were served in. While we enjoyed all the dishes, the standouts were the Abalone/Hokkaido Uni Chawanmushi and Sushi Mini Don. Based on personal tastes, we would have liked a bit more scallion in the A5 Wagyu Scallion Noodle, and a tad more smoke to the Fusion Sakura Masu Sahimi. Also suggest having a spoon to scoop up the Orange Crab goodness. Small but important detail that is much appreciated - hot tea was continuously topped up. A shout-out to Peter for the yummy chocolate-black sesame tart for my birthday. Thank you 808 Zone (and fellow diners) for a lovely evening.    Art for foodies: very tasty with great presentation. The staff is very friendly. Excellent choice for a slow meal for a special occasion.

   This multi-course, beautifully presented meal leaves you so satisfied, appreciative of the care, thought, presentation and quality of the amazing food. Every small course is delicious and beautiful in its own manner, with accents of caviar, parsley dust, house-made dashi and details such as this that intrigue you mind and your palate. The quiet ambiance allows the chef to explain how each course was curated, while he is assembling the dishes in front of the guests. Worth the drive to Foster City; the last time we dined, someone had come from Marin County, and last night, a young couple had driven up from San Jose. Well-worth the expense, a memorable gastro event, for certain. Must go for your next special event.

   Service was excellent, but a little on the slow side. Not a big deal. Food was very good too. Only thing I didn't appreciate was the spice in the food. Spicy food isn't something that I expect or appreciate when I'm eating Japanese food. Also, dessert was a little too tarty for me. Dessert should be sweet, not tarty in my opinion anyways. Otherwise, I think the price is very reasonable for the experience you get. We will come back another time for sure. Hopefully no more spicy food and sweeter dessert :-)

   Very good presentation of all dishes. Food and sushi were all fresh and tasty. Service was excellent, would definitely come back.

   This is one of the best tasting menu's I've experience, highly recommended. It was flawless, highest quality (premium uni, A5 wagyu, all from Japan), the owners are the nicest folks, the presentation of everything is incredible. This place and its tasting menu is a hidden gem.
