   This was our first visit to 801 Chophouse, and we were very, very impressed! We enjoyed learning about the restaurant, the steaks were absolutely amazing, the ambiance was lovely, and the staff treated us with much kindness and respect. We will definitely be back!

   Food and service was great. I don’t think it’s worth what they charge but it’s still very good. Wife’s prime rib was great my steak was good but I’ve had better and seemed small. Waiter was amazing. Table was decorated for our anniversary. This place is very good. Sides are huge so order to share no way you could finish on your own. I read other posts saying the valet service was free, it is not so make sure you bring some cash. All in all it was probably our best anniversary dinner and we will be back.

   Terrific food and service. Wide variety of steaks and seafood. Old steakhouse feel (in a very good way), with dark wood and low lighting. We’ll definitely be back.

    Food was incredible, and the service was beyond phenomenal. First time visiting and we were so impressed. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to try a steak that will forever put any other steaks to shame. Totally worth the price.

    Our experience at the Chophouse was absolutely wonderful! Our waiter was the best! He gave recommendations on the menu and was incredibly experienced and knowledgeable. He even brought out actual samples of each steak to show us before we ordered. The steak was brought out piping hot and cooked to perfection. The Chophouse is a steak, lovers dream! If we ever return to Minneapolis again, I will be sure to include the Chophouse on our must return to restaurants!

    there were 5 of us ladies out for a night out. We had never eaten at an 801 chophouse. Wow what an experience. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. We had Chris as a waiter, and he did an amazing job from explaining the menu and bringing us a tray of meat and providing us education and explaining all the cuts and how things are prepared. We had questions regarding the restaurant and another staff member took the time to show us around and explain the background of the restaurant. The food was amazing!! from the appetizer to the bread and main meal. We had filet mignon, ribeye, lobster, lobster mac and cheese, mushrooms, brussel sprouts and garlic mashed potatoes. The customer service was outstanding, would highly recommend.

    We have been to this restaurant a few times, and we have always been very happy overall. On a whim, we decided to have dinner there, and this time was no exception. The Foi Gras was delightfully prepared, and the pork belly appetizer was very tasty and melted in the mouth. I usually refrain from ordering prime rib because it is very difficult to find one that is prepared properly and is tender and well seasoned. I must say that now I am a fan of prime rib at 801! My wife's petit filet was also very tender and well seasoned. Another great experience here.

    AJ was a great server. He was very knowledgeable and attentive. Fantastic food. Rock star booth. Some of the best bread I’ve ever tasted. Delicious oysters, unique calamari, traditionally delicious French onion soup, perfectly cooked wet aged New York strip, yummy scalloped potatoes, amazing foie gras topped lamb chops, unbelievable key lime pie. They helped make a birthday very special. One of the all around best meals and experience we have ever had. Thanks to AJ and the rest of the 801 Chophouse crew!

    This was my first visit and it will NOT be my last. This is the only Steakhouse in downtown Minneapolis that will prepare a steak black and blue, which is my preference and it was perfectly prepared. The Bleu Cheese potatoes in Mornay sauce were so wonderful that I had to send them away for fear of overeating the entire portion, which was a half portion and more than adequate for a single diner. The topping on the cake was quite literally the CAKE. The Sticky Toffee Cake is haunting my dreams and I feel that I am in danger living within walking distance of this cake. I took one bite using a fork and immediately switched to spoon so as not to leave one morsel of this decadent cake behind. My server for the evening, Maggie, made suggestions (including the cake) that were all spot on. Maggie was absolutely wonderful and took a night that was already perfect and elevated it higher than I expected it could get. I quite literally cried tears of joy and gratitude while dining. I chose 801 Chophouse to celebrate an important milestone in my life and I am more than satisfied with the choice.

    The Scallops Appetizer was so Delicious and Sweet. The 12 Ounce Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection. The Green Beans were awesome. The Lobster Mac n Cheese was too fishy and for $30 a very small Portion.

    We were disappointed there was no dry aged porterhouse, but the dry aged ribeye type cut (forgot the name) was great and so was the salmon. Highly recommend the octopus app special and the green beans side.

    Our friends have been raving about 801 Chophouse in Minneapolis and it delivered. We were celebrating a couple birthdays and the birthday guy and gal wanted to Happy Hour at the bar. WOW!! The bartenders were amazing. They made suggestions for drinks and what to order. Well, I think we ordered everything on the HH menu, haha. The food was fantastic. What a wonderful space. We will definitely go back and do a sit down dinner. I would love to have a group event there. We all highly recommend 801 Chophouse!!

    Bailey was our server today and was professional, courteous and all around awesome!!! This our 6th times eating at 801 in MPLS and the food is the best in TC. There sides green beans, blue cheese potatoes and beef tenderloins were perfection. Congrats to the chefs, Bailey and the staff. The drinks were well made and the St Emillion bordeaux was excellent!     Service was fabulous and overall experience was very nice. It was our anniversary and they took very good care of us! Food was across the board good…and even very good. However, at this price point, I would have expected the food to be excellent.
