Lovely Christmas decor. Excellent service and food. My friend really enjoyed his birthday at Wilfs. We always love the jazz.
Anniversary dinner !
Wilfs is our favorite go to place for all celebrations. John and Douglas do a stupendous job making us feel like royalty with their personal attention. John could do a one man show with his fascinating stories he shares while preparing tableside dishes. The live jazz music is an extra treat. The food’s taste and presentation are consistently superb. A classy and fun evening out!
I've recommended to several of my friends! It's a pretty penny but the Thanksgiving email treat helped me out a ton. Craig and Geegee were very kind and welcoming, I never had to look around to ask for help.
Was expecting a move dimly lit environment with a larger band with performance.
Was very disappointed in this part of our evening.
the ambiance was great, John and Douglas were very entertaining. It was a surprise that the martinis were upgraded (for an added fee) without our knowledge. hmm don't know about that. The mahi mahi was dry and the roasted potatoes were cold on my plate. three other plates were good. Even though they ask about special celebrations..they charge for the birthday cake. The bar entertainment was very nice.
We LOVED it! Everything was perfect, from drinks to food to music and this spot has become one of our go-to places we look forward to whenever we go to Portland now, especially if we want to combine great food with great music just can’t be beat! 5*
We had martinis and steak Diane and it was absolutely fantastic!
We love the atmosphere at Wilf's. The food and the service was very good, they treat you well!
We had a great time!
All staff were awesome!! Food was fresh and plentiful!
Hadn't been to Wilf's for years but wanted to connect with an old friend to catch up. The staff is absolutely wonderful. They left us alone when we wanted to chat but were right there for us when we needed anything. The live music is always a treat and the musicians are absolutely world class. I had forgotten that they charge a cover and it was not apparent while booking the table online, nor did anyone mention it when I chatted with them on the phone. You're told about it when you check in but if you're not planning on that expense then it's not a welcomed surprise. We both had the catch of the day plate and the food was fine. The salmon could have had more flavor, in my opinion. Overall it's still a great place to go and I'll definitely be back!
Amazing... this experience was absolutely perfect 😭 everything was incredible! The service was like nothing I’ve ever experienced!
Real Old fashion etiquette! Incredible! WILL definitely
This is the perfect place for great food, great music and an atmosphere of warmth and fun.
Waitress was not friendly actually bordering on rude. It was as if we were bothering her. We’ve had her before. Probably will not return.
Excellent service, amazing food and great live music. Beautiful restaurant.
If you go late for the music, ask to be seated right in front of the musicians. Diners around us were very noisy.
On our way to Seattle by train. Our service and meal was exceptional! Our server, Douglas Martell, is a consummate professional! Table side Caesar and Shrimp Scampi were amazing. Live music was an additional treat!!
We had not been to Wolfe’s in a long time. A friend of mine was preforming their for a class recital from PCC. Great experience. John, our waiter was fantastic. Very professional, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. He was able to adapt to our food issues with excellent suggestions and substitutions.
The music capped off the evening.
Can’t wait to do it again.
Chairs in desperate need of repair everything else was nice
The Saturday night energy with Devin Phillips & Friends is fabulous. Love the Sax and love Jazz. Combination is made for a wonderful night of listening. The Bar food--in this case--the hamburger was delicious and the service could not be more attentive and accommodating. If you love Jazz--you need to go here.
Wilf's Steak Diane is outstanding and we had another wonderful dinner there. We started with some delicious wine and the seafood salad. Then we had the Steak Diane, which is cooked at the table by the maitre di, who is very personable and entertaining. The wine list is extensive and we always enjoy sitting in those big red chairs and toasting each other. Wilf's is a great place for a memorable meal on a special occasion.
We have the most wonderful family celebratory dinners at Wilf's. They are gracious and accommodating! We had a party of 14 this time, from perfectly crafted cocktails, a diverse and affordable wine list to beautifully prepared food, it was all enjoyed. The live music and magician add to the warm and comfortable atmosphere. We always enjoy the Steak Diane prepared tableside, this is a rare experience and very fun. Many thanks to the Staff, they are second to none in their appreciation of the dining experience of their patrons! Thanks again, for a wonderful evening. It will be another treasured memory.
Amazing service as always
Wolfs is an under appreciated jewel. They offer great jazz performances at very reasonable prices. Food is solid and drinks are excellent. We have gone back several times to listen to the really enjoyable jazz performances. A great venue.
The restaurant is very pretty. The staff was great. The food was very good. They also had musical entertainment that was very good and didn’t interfere with our conversation. I would definitely go back
Wilfs was wonderful, as always. Having Caesar salad and steak Diane prepared tableside was especially entertaining.
Fora fine dining experience, this place is the best.
This place is a real gem. The service is truly outstanding. We had Steak Diane, which was finished at the table by our server. While he was preparing the sauce and flambé, he would signal to the other servers to bring the side dishes so everything was perfectly timed.
I will be back and especially when Greta Matassa is there!
Last Saturday we went to Wilfs to listen to a jazz/cabaret singer named Greta (from Seattle). We sat in the lounge where the full dinner menu was available. The food was very good (I had pan fried oysters) and my husband had the salmon salad. The performance was excellent. Really enjoyed the ambiance. We'll be back.
Wonderful Icelandic Cod dinner and added the tasty prawns. Wow, my husband and I really enjoyed that cod dish, and the service was excellent. Will be back!!
Richard Arnold and his band provided the MOST delightful evening of Nate King Cole and mo-town favs!!
Our food was amazing and they had our favorite wine ...!
Customer service from John and Douglas was outstanding; professional, knowledgeable and they know their customers. Food selection was very good, the Wilf's salad was excellent; a meal in itself. We will be back!
The best part was the great bottle of wine and the Spanish coffee drinks for dessert. The Caesar salad was so soggy could not finish. Personally, I would have asked for light anchovy or none at all. I had the prawns which were cooked good, but not much additional flavors. My husband had the steak Diane which you could upgrade the meat, but he stuck with the basic. Very pricey for what you get. The live music , which had a cover charge of $15 per person wasn't what we expected. Thought it would be jazz themed and ended up being one woman playing an electric accordion accompanied by another woman on violin. Drinks, dinner, and entertainment ended up being $200+. I had a gift certificate which took care of a big part of the bill. We don't go out often, so we still tried to make the most of the evening. Sorry I can't recommend to anyone..
Enjoyed the comfortable seating with a backdrop of jazz that was soft enough for our table of six to carry on conversations. Food was excellent, drinks were perfect. My only regret is that they always run out of bananas Foster before we order dessert. We'll be back!
I loved the look and feel of this place and the staff was extremely friendly!
The ambience was very classy and old world. We enjoyed how John prepared our salad at the table. Unfortunately, the steaks were disappointing. Mine was mealy and difficult to cut. Our waiter was not attentive and I found her attitude to be indifferent. We hesitated to order dessert but glad we did as they were definitely the best part of the meal. I would not go back here because I felt it was an expensive evening for a mediocre meal.
The overall service/food/and music was a pleasant experience. The value of the Groupon was honored. Would do a return visit in the future.
This place is incredible. Both times I've gone it hasnt been busy. I'm honestly blown away as to why people don't come here. It's exceptional dining.
Beautiful table setting. Why are there bread plates and butter knives when there is no bread? Why does the menu say Caesar salad for two made table side? I brought my adult son and daughters for my son’s birthday. I knew he would enjoy the table side Caesar salad presentation so I said, my son and I would like the Caesar salad for two. You can imagine our disappointed when two finished salads were delivered to the table from the kitchen. We were still charged the price quoted in the menu.
We were told that we needed to be careful because our entree dishes were hot. None of us had hot food. We all had warm food.
There are ways to spin situations. If our server said that he would also be our bartender, he could have made it sound positive. That he would take great care of us. Instead we got to hear what to us was complaining that he had to make our drinks too.
My son wanted one of the two table side made dessert but decided not to order them because he didn’t want to be disappointed again like with the salad. And as he said, he didn’t want to have to deal with the drama from our server.
