This was my family’s visit to Kaelin’s, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was very busy as it was the Friday evening of Burger Week. Our server greeted us quickly and provided good service throughout the meal, apologizing for being so busy. My wife and I each had a 80/20 burger, hers with fries and mine with Brussels sprouts. The burgers were cooked perfectly to the requested MW, with tasty white cheddar cheese and bacon. The sprouts were delicious, as were the fries. My daughters had a fried chicken sandwich and a kids burger, both of which they enjoyed. I was somewhat disappointed that they were sold out of the Hi Wire MosaicIPA, but I understand that the keg turnover there is fast.
Burgers are always delicious. A reservation is a must because of popularity! Service was excellent.
Date night with hubby! Great food - the burger was exceptional but you can’t argue when they’ve been doing it for years. We started off with fried green tomatoes and Brussels sprout appetizers - highly recommend the fried green tomatoes with the special sauce!! After a superb burger (just the right size for us as it was the $6 special for burger week) - topped off the evening with a scoop of the bourbon apple butter ice cream - yummy . Our first visit but won’t be the last 😊❤️
We had reservations and they had our table ready. Our server was so nice and very welcoming. Burgers were great. My husband ordered the special burger and ate every bite. People were everywhere but we really didn’t have to wait very long for our food. One of our favorite places to get a burger.
Always great burgers! Our server was excellent. Happy hour!
Visited for burger week! Food was delicious and service was great!
All around great restaurant. One of our favorite spots!!
The food was awesome! The french fries were the best!
We enjoyed our visit to Kaelin’s.
It was Burger week, so the place was packed. The food was excellent.
We had the Caprese salad, wonderful.
My wife had the veggie burger and I had the special burger, both were excellent.
We will be back!!!
Tonight was an especially busy night because of Louisville Burger Week, and the staff was still incredibly prompt and polite and made sure we had a great time! My wife’s burger was a little undercooked, and they corrected the issue right away and made sure everything was perfect before we left. Will absolutely be dining again!! Great work to the kitchen and wait staff!!
Great service. Great burgers!
Great burgers, sides and fried green tomatoes. Highly recomended.
We had a reservation for 7:45. It took us 30 minutes for our waiter to come and give us water. We didn’t get our appetizer until 9:15, and even then, it was cold. Safe to say I will not be returning.
Everything was good food wise we get seated a seat 36I ask for a hightop at the bar we did not get that we get seated at a table by our self in a corner was trying to come there for a nice experience great date with my wife we were said it in a corner not a high top at the bar I asked the woman at the front desk she kind of shrugged her shoulders and told me That’s all she could do oh but in my reservations I asked for a hightop at the bar once we set a table 36 We was totally forgot about for 15 minutes no water no drinks no service kind of embarrassing for me because I was out on a date now we’re sitting in the corner Buy a coat Closet no service But once we got service it got better but the food was delicious for the money we spent just wish I would’ve had a better view especially for putting in the reservations for a hightop and we didn’t get itAnd I do believe if we was not in the corner we would’ve had better service everyone else had great service around us we talked about it
If you decide to come to this fine establishment I highly suggest you make a reservation. Once we were seated our waiter was kind , knowledgeable. Atmosphere was laid back . The food I must say is good but they are a bit steep in prices. Other than that I’d highly recommend this place to grab a tasty burger and I nice beer.
We had a late reservation after St. Agnes carnival, and they were great at seating us and taking care of us even though they were super busy!
Burgers are fabulous and fries, outstanding! Each of us loved what we had and. Can’t wait to return.
Super cute space and friendly service. The food and drinks were delicious!
Excellent food, with a varied menu. Good service. But very noisy. The chairs are small, metal and uncomfortable if you’re over 50 and overweight at all.
First time visitor, and we got a nice table indoors in the back as the noise level was high at the end of lunch hour. Our server was new, and a bit slow, but nice enough when we got his attention. Fried chicken was OK, I don't love mashed potatoes with skins on. The gravy was tasty, and the cheese curds were good. We each tried a "boozy shake" and they were the highlight for me. I had the big Lebowski. I would go again and try something different.
Always delicious, really good fries, good variety of burgers and other options. And the chocolate ice cream is the best I know of anywhere. It tastes like it has butter in it. The cocktails are usually great too, and there's a decent sized patio so you can usually eat outside during nice weather.
This was our first time to 80/20. It was perfect for our group of 5! Great food, great drinks, great vibe and our server was awesome!
I don’t even know where to begin, the food was amazing! If we lived in Louisville this would be on our list of favorite restaurants!
For starters we had Crispy Brussels Sprouts and Fried Cheese Curds. The Brussel Sprouts were incredible, the bacon jam delicious! The best part of the meal was the Ribeye Burger, all I have to say is if you don’t try this you’re missing out big time!!!
Service was great and the staff was amazing.
We made a reservation for 8 people for 7:15, but ended up arriving early. They had our table ready shortly after our arrival (still before our reservation!!) and we loved every minute of it from start to finish. The interior is so unique and the food was spectacular. Highly recommend!
We had a reservation (which was good because it was extremely busy) and were seated promptly. Our server seemed overwhelmed and was not very attentive. Some of the group needed to order more drinks and most glasses were never refilled. Salads did not arrive before the meal as requested and 2 orders were missing items. The food was tasty but definitely overcooked compared to previous visits. We will probably go back in hopes of a 1 time less than expected experience.
Great food. Service was good. Our waitress was very nice and mgmt made sure we were taken care of. They were between shifts when we sat down.
Family dinner out, we sat in the bar at a high top table. Service was on point - gentleman was friendly and attentive, happy to chat when we had some questions about the history. Food was delicious. Really fun and pretty spot to have a quality meal.
The burger was greasy and cooked unevenly, the milkshake was so thin it was like drinking a frothy milk and the Brussel sprouts that I usually love from there were just as bad as everything else . We definitely won’t be back
Excellent experience! Server was very attentive. We had the fried green tomatoes and caprese salad (with watermelon) for appetizers and then we both got burgers for lunch. So, so good. We were stuffed. Next time we will save room for their homemade ice cream!
The burger was well seasoned and delicious, the fried chicken was crispy, juicy perfection. ☺️ We also had ice cream, which was very good. Overall, a great experience.
Great food reasonably priced.
A great place to eat. Very friendly and clean. Super approachable staff and friendly customers.
I have been to alot of different restaurants in the Louisville area but i must say this is one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten in.the food is fantastic service was great I would recommend it to anyone (Wesley Jackson)
Nick was a terrific waiter and provided insight on the dishes. I always have to try fried pickles if they are part of the menu and theirs were very good, not greasy at all. I enjoyed the Hot fried chicken sandwich and my husband really liked the 80/20 burger. We will be back!
Food was amazing, ribeye sandwich was the best. Music was so loud it was hard to talk.
Hostess was a bit pretentious, we asked to change our seating and was snarled at. Ice cream was great.Overall it was worth it and we will go back but will insist on preference of seats.
Wonderful service, food and drinks as usual! Best burgers in Louisville!
Ate outside…. Brought friends that have never been and they loved it too… we live in jtown but it’s worth the drive… you need another one out this way!
We had a nice dinner, with great service. They are truly a team there, everyone that walked past us asked if we needed anything, grabbed a dirty plate or said hello. The bar area with the open windows to the patio are beautiful and allows for you to set inside with an outdoor feel. We will for sure be back!
Our server was very friendly. The food was good and quick. We sat on the patio which was super cute. The milkshakes were really good! Will be back :)
