8 Dragons Restaurant
Wonderful food and great service!
I had the pot stickers, fried egg rolls, fried calamari, house special fried rice and sweet and sour pork. All was excellent. Service was great and the patio is dog friendly. The restaurant is beautiful with a copper ceiling, attractive wine bar with a great local wine list, and large, clean beautiful restrooms.
I have eaten here before and the food and service has always been excellent. I have also had the shrimp street tacos, fried green beans, duck breast, claypot with seafood and rib eye steak. I recommend all of these dishes.
The location is hidden in a shopping center but don't let that deter you.
Had a great meal including the claypot with mixed seafood, pot stickers, fried green beans, sweet and sour pork and the house chow mein. The restaurant was busy so we had to wait a bit for our entrees while we enjoyed wine and the appetizers. I have eaten here a number of times trying different things and each time I have been impressed with both the food and the niceness of the restaurant. Other items that I have had which I strongly recommend are the organic duck breasts and street tacos, both amazing at great prices.
Great food. Wonderful service. Don’t be deceived by the location. Would definitely go again!
the restaurant was very clean and crisp, the entrees that we selected were very fresh -tasting.
I do wish their was no television, but it was not very loud. the owner came over to inquire how everything was going early on. pretty much how I would run a restaurant.
2nd time here and the food was great both times. Had the pot stickers, fried calamari and prawn singapore noodles. I recommend them all especially the prawn singapore noodles and pot stickers. For Healdsburg prices, every thing is a great value including their great wine selection. I will be back the next time I am in Healdsburg.
Had the Mongolian beef, sweet and sour pork, yang chow fried rice and honey walnut prawns. Every thing was very good but especially the walnut prawns. They were the best I have ever had anywhere, not overly sweet and the prawns were perfectly cooked, still moist and tasty. I will be back and definitely recommend this restaurant.
Had dinner here last weekend and it was excellent. My first impression of the restaurant when we entered was that it was beautiful, large, clean and had a great wine bar. The copper ceiling was impressive. The quality of the food matched our first impression, it was excellent. The vegetables were crisp and fresh and the food was flavorable. We had pot stickers, beef and broccoli, sweet and sour pork and chow mein. The owner checked with us to make sure we enjoyed the food and the service was good. I would recommend this restaurant to others and will return.
2nd time here, an excellent wine bar, beautiful restaurant, good service and excellent food. The owner was onsite and checked with each customer to make sure their food was good and they were having a good experience. Had duck spring rolls, a special tonigt and lemon chicken. Both were excellent. Love the wine list and prices.
We’ve been looking for a good local Chinese restaurant for some time. We found a great one, Eight Dragons in Healdsburg. The food was excellent, fresh and delicious. The service was also excellent. The chef came out to greet us and insure we were enjoying our meal. All and, a delightful experience.
Nothing Chinese about this restaurant. Worst Mongolian Beef I’ve ever had. The staff was friendly, but it appeared as if the chef couldn’t make it in. One of the worst dining experiences in a long time. I would not recommend under any circumstances.
Very good food... in fact I returned the very next night for more... It was good.
The restaurant is located in a strip mall location, making it more casual than expected. The food was tasty but did have more grease than I like, the dishes were fresh and enjoyable and authentic flavors. The service was the best, its a family based operation and everyone likes working there and it showed. I'd return.
Well the waitress was excellent and the owners were very nice. Unfortunately the quality and presentation was just fair; the pot stickers were reasonably flavored, most items had too much sodium and the flavors were muted. An eggplant dish was dominated ( and saturated) by a dull flavored oil. The chicken was properly cooked in a few of the dishes but particularly bland. The spring rolls were overstuffed and unwieldy and simply bland. We truly wanted to like this place as the greeting was nice and the interior was clean and accepting. We will not go back.
Consistently well done meals.
Excellent food. We go there every time we are in Healdsburg.
The food was fresh and better than I had anticipated. We really liked the pot stickers and the honey walnut shrimp. Our server was very engaged and a pleasant young man. For a Chinese Food option in Healdsburg we were all pleased.
Appetizers were yummy. I go back for happy hour anytime. Entrees. We're also good. Large portions.
Great food and excellent service. Clean and comfortable. I'm going again soon.
Food was fantastic. Crispy beef with broccoli was pleasantly hot and sweet. Veggie fried rice was delicious. Clay pot with tofu was excellent with a ton of veggies and noodles. Portions were very big as well. Great dinner and service!
Solid Chinese food. Very good service. Large portions. We visit once per week, it’s our neighborhood place.
We ordered a combination dinner for 2 that included potstickers, hot and sour soup, sweet-and-sour chicken, baby bok choy with mushrooms, yang chow fried rice and chocolate cake for dessert for $39. It was enough food for 4, the quality was excellent and the service was great. The restaurant is very nice looking with a great wine bar. It was very clean including the restrooms. which we’re also very nice, a pleasant surprise from other Chinese restaurants that we had visited. The wine list is very good and the prices are reasonable. We will definitely be back every time we come to town.
Excellent service, friendly atmosphere, generous portions. I will definitely keep 8 Dragons in mind for a similar occasion.
Excellent food, generous portions, great service!!
I lived in Hong Kong for a while and the food here is as good as anything I had there. I had the house made potstickers, yang chow fried rice, baby bok choy with black mushrooms and the Cantonese fish fillet. The restaurant is hidden in a shopping center several blocks from the tourist area and is beautifully designed. The restaurant has an amazing copper ceiling, probably the nicest and cleanest restrooms I’ve seen I’ve seen outside of a five-star restaurant. It has a beautiful wine bar with great local wines at good prices, beers and sake And happy hour every day. I will definitely be back every time I come Go to Healdsburg. It is definitely a hidden gem in the wine country.
Food was goo. They forgot to bring one of our entrees; we had to ask for it.
It took over a half hour to receive our meal and once we did the part of our order was wrong. It took another half hour to get our correct order, which by the way was rice. The waitress never once came by to ask how our meal was and if we needed anything. The food was substandard and over priced. I️ won’t be going back nor will I️ recommend this place.
Nice to have good ethnic food offerings in hburg.
Great food. Affordable and great service.
Good food, happy servers, decently priced for healdsburg. Would definitely go back.
Went to 8 Dragons for a birthday dinner for my daughter-in-law. We had never been there before, and asked for recommendations. Our waiter, who was great, came up with suggestions and the food was outstanding. WE were all pleased, and would certainly return again. Again, kudos for outstanding service.
Very large portions and very good... had enough for dinner the next night. Appetizers need an upgrade!
Been wanting to try since opening. Was not disappointed. Hot and sour soup was superb - very hearty! Egg rolls were perfect. We only had vegetarian entrees this trip, but the crab wontons were delightful. The entrees were what we expected!
The food was delicious! The service was wonderful and the owners have obviously gone to great lengths to create a total dining experience.
We came with high expectations and the menu looked like it offered a broad range. But not one item met those expectations. Ingredients seemed fresh but the cooking was way off. Poorly executed meals which are an insult to the cuisine. West Lake beef soup without the correct ingredients including those stated on the menu. Fish in wine sauce with no hint of wine. Szechuan beans which seemed to have the strange pepper sauce poured on after the beans were cooked and not well. I have never given a restaurant such a poor rating. They need to reassess what they are doing it and correct it quickly to stay viable. Restaurant was 20% filled at dinner. Word has probably gotten out.
We have been here once before and had a nice dinner. This time however was a different story. The young waiters and servers seemed distracted and a little put off. The food was mediocre at best. We had the Combo Chow Mein, Mushi Pork, and the Crab Puffs which had to be sent back because they were grossly fishy.
We won't be back.
As a side note. With Pandora etc.. they could have some nice relaxing music streaming instead of what seemed like a today's hits radio station.
It is too bad. Healdsburg needed a good Chinese Restaurant.
Service was awful but the food was wonderful. Left me confused
Food and service is excelllent. Best Chinese food I've found outside of SF.
Fine Americanized Chinese food, solid selection of classics. Kid friendly.
Finally, a place in the area that serves excellent Chinese food! The portions are vey generous and totally creative preparation. Great service and terrific wines and beers available. Can't wait to go back and try out some of the other dishes. (Happy Hours too!!)
We enjoyed a fun birthday dinner with our youngest daughter and her fiancé. The food was plentiful and delicious. Seems overpriced for Chinese cuisine when perusing the menu; however, portion sizes are large, easily shared with 4 people. We had Pot-stickers, which were fresh and delicious, we all loved the sauces served with them; Moo Shu Pork, flavorful and plentiful, we enjoyed it even after the pancakes were gone; Mongolian beef, spicy, beautifully served over rice noodles and not swimming in sauce; and Singapore street noodles, which could have used about 2 more shrimp, but were seasoned well and were a delight to our palates. Very much like the atmosphere, warm, modern and clean. Food was great, service was a bit slow this time, but allowed for good table conversation that is sometimes missed when service is too quick. We will be back again, good to have Chinese cuisine in Healdsburg again, we are ready to explore some more exotic choices.
