Lounge area designed for dancing & DJs.
Owner Roger Wilson
Executive Chef Craig Walker
Food was good, and ambiance is good.
Had a salmon which was excellent.
I was excited to order the “carrot soufflé”, however I was very disappointed when we got served in a skillet a sweet carrot cake that was closer to a brownie with the chocolate replaced by carrots.
I asked the waitress to let the chef know this is no soufflé, but the waitress rejected my request just to add that soufflés require special ovens, which they don’t have, and anyhow they are too busy to take time to cook soufflés. It is kind of false advertisement.
I hope the chef will read this since waitress did not communicate.
I was excited by the menu, but disappointed
They were going to put us in a table in lounge rather than main dining room because we came through open table which i didn’t like and then put us in a table next to kitchen.
They should treat open table customers same or better than others
Other than that, very good overall
The food was terrible. Drinks and bartenders from hotel Jerome was awesome!
Loved the friendliness of the staff from the moment we walked in. The attentiveness & accommodation per our food needs went above & beyond, and we really just loved the easygoing fun atmosphere! Looking forward to our next visit.
A truly wonderful experience. The atmosphere was lively, the service was outstanding and the food even better. My wife and I are raving fans!
Loved this place so much we went back twice while in Aspen for the week. Excellent food, service. Really cool, hip ambiance and loved the dance floor and dj connected to the restaurant.
Our server was fantastic, as was the food!!
Two adults and 2 teen/tween diners. Service was very efficient, friendly and courteous. Thought not very extensive, the menu was sufficiently interesting and varied to suit all tastes. The warm ricotta was absolutely delicious. We all wanted more. The cauliflower with whipped feta was also very tasty. We ordered 3 entrees and sides and it was more than enough food for our post skiing appetites. The food was delicious. The decor and layout is fun and inviting. Would definitely return and try other menu items.
So amazing!!! Food and service was outstanding. Tyler, our server was dynamic and fun!! Must try in Aspen!
The cute hostess at the front were so welcoming and our waitress was super
Wine and food were terrific we will come back
The ambiance was neat, food terrific and decent wine list...although pricey. Would definitely make another trip to 7908 when I am in Aspen again.
Great ambiance - though a bit noisy for dinner. Food has a New Orleans twist and was very good
Our meal at 7908 was disappointing. The room and bar area look very nice . My margarita was delicious and came fast , it was downhill from there. I had the salmon , all good favor but it was lukewarm. The server explained that the buerre blanc sauce and couscous are cold on purpose and the salmon gets cold fast because of this . So dumb, it just seemed like a bad kitchen . The chef and owner are from New Orleans , the chicken and sausage gumbo seemed like a perfect pick for my husband . Unfortunately, the gumbo was a brown sauce with a piece of thigh meat on the bone hiding under the sauce . No flavor , mediocre at best .
Finally, on the bill is a 2% Kitchen appreciation charge . The server explained that it’s hard to keep kitchen staff so the thought it would be nice to help the servers get a living wage . She also said if we were uncomfortable with that we can just give her 18%. ( that assumes she was worth 20%)
They charge $85 for a 14 oz steak so I think the owner should be paying a living wage to his employees from his mark up.
Cool vibe, very busy with a vibrant atmosphere.
The house ricotta was superb! Distinctive and complex!
Lamb was excellent-although preparation might be surprising to some! Short rib pasta was warm meaty and rich- just like it’s supposed to be!
Would highly recommend!
It was fantastic! Some of the best meals and ambiance we’ve had! Not to exclude the amazing service (5 staff members - host, greeted/water, waitress, runner, sommelier). The art and decor added to the experience and the menu had some a spins on normal dishes that were unexpected! Well done! (Pics: burger with dusted bacon, geese and a stamped amazing bun, beet, goat salad and zucchini pesto pasta).
Great place with delicious food (warm ricotta appetizer is amazing) and really cool decor and artwork. The cocktails are truly funky and delicious.
I thought this new place was terrific. The decor was very upscale. The food was delicious as well. The Wagyu burger with truffle cheese was excellent.
Great personal service
Fun new spot in Aspen! This is a great nightlife spot with cool decor and great food. The cocktails were also unique! We stayed on for the DJ and had a great time.
The ricotta appetizer was SUPER! Great service, beautiful place and loved the food. I had their special Moscow Mule and it was fab too!
7908 was AMAZING. Definitely, a must in Aspen.
Very very good but pricy. Worth it for a special occasion.
Food was only passable. Service was terrible.
Love this new addition! Ross the bartender is the best best and the food is absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the ricotta cheese app & apple tart!
Great experience. The food was outstanding and the shared plate idea is super fun.
Fantastic! Food exceeded our expectations. Loved ambiance
Very outstanding service with awesome flavors
Food and Ambiance was AMAZING!! Definitely five stars all across the board!! Please order the fried chicken i promise you wont be disappointed :)
High points and low points for Aspen overall...
Highpoint amazing DJ...
Low point for Aspen, physical conflicts with people...quite shocking and very pedestrian, not on par for a mountain , chill , sophisticated scene like Aspen
Food was good but service was subpar. Also they make you put a credit card down and say there is a $150 per person cancellation charge? AND I didn’t get any Opentable points? Not sure why OT partners with this restaurant.
What a great spot. The food, service and music were intoxicating. So much fun was had by our group of 9. Everyone raved about their dishes. We will all be returning again.
We were most impressed with the ability to actually talk with our friends at a table for 4. The modern and attractive decor makes it look like it could be very noisy, but was comfortable. My shrimp and grits were OK, the pork osso bucco was good, and the papparradelle was good. The food was not exceptional and have had better elsewhere. The food was lacking a little spark. The menu was marked with gluten free and vegetarian options, but they were less than half the menu. The service was excellent. The wine list was extensive but expensive.
7098 was great! We had a large party, of 14, during the Xgames in Aspen and they were very friendly & accommodating. Great food! Great loc! Great atmosphere!
Service was friendly and attentive. Food was outstanding and plentiful! Shared our dishes and still didn’t finish. Melted ricotta is a must have!
Amazing fried chicken! Amazing ambience
Great food great decor
They charged us for extra bread when they only originally brought over 3 pieces for 5 people
