75 West Coast Grill was a great local eatery. After arriving in Richmond (Vancouver) I was looking for a decent restaurant in walking distance of my hotel and 75 was just a block away. Clean, brightly let dining room with a great street view that allows one to enjoy the street scene. Good service and good food. Limited but good wine list and a nice cocktail menu. Great value.
Service was superb . Dinner was very tasty.cant understand why this menu is so poor. If you wish to add to your order no vegetables or potatoes etc are on the menu as separate items.
This is not a Marriott quality by any means. I have also forwarded my comments and concerns as to how harmful it is to the descent of what was an enjoyable place to dine
Good friendly staff; at par execution of quality food; really nothing to rave about; French fries are over fried.
Good food and excellent servers. Restaurant was not very busy and sit at the window
We really enjoy their food it is always very tasty...and our server Remi is AMAZING (He is very attentive and friendly has a great memory of what we like) Thank you for a lovely evening...we will most definitely return😊
Excellent food and friendly, prompt service! Nice selection of craft beers.
A really nice restaurant and free parking is a nice touch. I ordered the duck breast, it was cooked perfectly and the presentation was excellent
I like the new decor. Very relaxing
Nice renovation. The appetizer ceviche was a great share starter. The sable fish special was so good. Recommended by our server and lived up to my expectations. My husband's halibut burger came with a generous portion of yam fries and was also very good. We will be back!
Great food & service for our family gathering to send newly weds off on their honeymoon! They even did a wee dessert for them!
I would recommend this for larger parties near the airport.
Construction & parking were only minor
I ordered the halibut and it was excellent. The white house wine was very good. The upgrade from American Grille was very well done. However, I was in a group of four women and our reservation was for 5:30. My friends odered coconut broulee. We waited at least 20 minutes and then were told there was none left. My friends odered apple strudel, which was on the house. It was difficult to eat with the small teaspoon provided. They should have had a spoon and fork. I felt really cold as the air conditioning was on. My friend was sitting near a small heater and she was too hot.
Jovi the owner is very nice and hospitality. Food is delicious and beautifully presented with a generous portion. Staff is friendly and prompt to serve. The restaurant has recently renovated, nice layout for business meeting which provides some privacy and quiet corner. It's a very pleasant experience for me and my friend.
Service could be better. Servers need to be consistent.
Love the new designs for the new restaurant property. Went with friends for a pre-show dinner, and we all enjoyed what we ordered. Our server was Kirstin, and she was knowledgeable, helpful and very welcoming. There was a bit of concern about being able to access the on-line coupon from Entertainment Coupon book, and while Kirstin tried and couldn't access it, Manager Randy came over and when he also couldn't locate the coupon at the end of it all, gave our friends the coupon discount. We were already anxious about the time we needed to get to the live show, and Randy was kind enough to make that decision. That, and the parking privileges will bring us back to the restaurant another time.
Every one enjoyed lunch. Will be back soon
Everyone’s meal was good. We did have to ask for our server. He was very busy. 3 out of the 4 meals came but my meal was not even cooked yet. I insisted my guest start without me. I booked the restaurant based on good reviews I wa a bit dissapointef that it was more like eating in a cafeteria with the buffet still set up for breakfast.
I would eat there again on my own but not a business dinner. Also one of my guest was gluten free and struggled to order. No gluten free pasta choice was disappointing
We had a really good meal. Don't skip this restaurant just because it is in a hotel and has a very large menu. Everything we ordered was fantastic, definitely recommend the Lobster Mac N Cheese.
Since the renovations and re-branding to the new 75 West Coast Grill, I have been back twice. The serving staff were friendly and attentive but there was only two servers for the entire restaurant. The big share menu was great for sharing as well as for those who are looking for a light meal.
The atmosphere and service are great however the Ling Cod and Salmon Pasta that I ordered were extremely dry. The salads, calamari were great!
We have had two terrific meals here. The first was dinner for three after a very tiring drive from Whistler. The west coast chowder revived us enormously. Our main course of Ling cod with potato croquettes follow by chocolate/coffee creme brûlée made sure we’re all satisfied.
Breakfast this morning with friends was quite delicious. We had a la cartel and I found the portion size to be too big. I had to leave half of it. Smaller portion options would be welcomed by me.
The noise level wasn’t ideal but also was not overly distracting.
From appies to main to dessert, it was superb! Done perfectly by your awesome cook Wally and Ramon. Love the new resto's new look. Thank you for making my friend Birthday Celebration a memorable one! We will definitely come back again to try more on the new menu.
This is a solid choice though nothing spectacular. The new decor is modern and stark which gives it a different feel. The menus is primarily the same as it was - we were hoping for a shakeup. Location and easy parking are great.
This place was not bad. It's a bit out of the way but the food was fairly good
Table was small and too exposed to cold breeze when door was opened. But they actually told us that they had new tables on the way. It was dine out, so it was busy and we had a new server. She was lovely but service was slower than expected. She also promised she would be faster next time we visited. Food was excellent and interesting.
The food and service was great but I am not convinced that the Lemon Hart rum I received was the real thing even though the waiter said he saw the bartender pour it.
The recent renovation is very nice and a welcome change. The foodwas as good as always, but the serivce was quite slow. Perhaps this was due to the restaurant recently reopening. Will definitely return.
Not our first time, but every time gets just better. We did dine out Vancouver dinner with older kids. It was Monday night so not so busy and quiet. We had lamb, ling cod, baked brie, veloute, and tried both deserts in a menu. Everything was stunning, no exceptions. The cod came with mussels in the broth, lamb served over some polenta, unusual but very good choice, my compliments. Great seasoning, accompanied with grilled squash pieces, it was the best dish so far I tried during this dine-out event.
I want to notice the not so your common desserts: banana tart and the rosemary cake. Very low on sweet but rich on taste, it was the perfect finishing touch for the meals. Special thanks to Jenny, our server, she was the most attentive and dear.
We were confused by sudden name change though from American Grille to 75 West Coat Grille :) But who cares really, as soon it is a good place :)
Tomomi is the most amazing waitress.. she is fantastic. We look forward to seeing her
Marriott is undergoing renovations so dining room has temporarily moved up a floor. Banquet room was draped, decorated for the Season, and was very comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food and drink was delicious and good value for $. Not crowded and did not feel rushed. Lovely experience for New Year's Eve!
Hope the renovation on ground floor will be finished soon as the temporary venue upstairs laccks the proper restaurant decor.
Great location, good food with something for everyone, and our very special waiter, Rémi - we always love to come to the American Grille. Rémi made us feel very special and served us in French!
Not happy with this restaurant or the service staff...We will not be back or as least until the renovations are done and then there is a "BIG IF" to give it another try...service was awful and food was cold...
The restaurant is under renovation and is using a conference room in the meantime, it's almost like a canteen. We had crab cakes as appetiser and it was a bit burnt and the presentation was not pleasant. The sandwiches were good. The setting was awkward. I guess if we were notified in advance that the restaurant is under renovation, we would probably be better prepared and more at ease at the setting
Restaurant under renovation so not as decent as before. Hope when it’s done will provide better eating environment. Food and Service continues to be good though
The restaurant is currently undergoing renovation and temporary location is upstairs. It took more than 1 hour for our breakfast order to arrive and food was cold. Did not serve us jams for our toasts. My hot water had an eyelash sitting on the slice of lemon. The server did not explain to us ahead of time that the delay was because of the challenges they are having in the kitchen due to the renovation. We noticed that there were tables that got served ahead us even though we arrived and ordered before them.
The tuna ceviche was a good late night meal. The service in the lounge was great & I didn't have to flag anyone down as I did next door at Harold's.
They moved upstairs temporarily because of the renovation. The whole environment feels so weird. Even if it was temporary, they should have at least made the space more suitable for dining experience. Quite disappointed. Not a very pleasant experience for my first date.
The service was very good, and my beef tenderloin was excellent. However, American Grille is currently undergoing renovations, with the dining area now on the second floor. If you are planning to dine here, I would suggest waiting until the renovations are complete. From earlier visits, I remember the downstairs dining area as being much nicer, and the food being warmer. We used an Entertainment Book coupon - without the coupon our meal would have been rather expensive.
We went for breakfast. While we were willing to look beyond the makeshift room that was being used during renovations, nothing could excuse the disinterested server who screwed up our egg order and then, after promising to rectify it by placing the order again, forgot to place the order. Or, how about a buffet breakfast with next to no options and basic fare for $25.00? None of this place made any sense. A total washout.
Even though they are currently under construction the lunch and atmosphere was great. The waitress wasn't as attentive as I would have hoped but would still go back again.
