Offering elevated modern American cuisine by Chef Javier Lopez, 71Above boasts breathtaking ocean views from Malibu to Laguna Hills, along with spectacular views of Los Angeles and the surrounding mountain ranges. The Restaurant and Skylounge have a Smart Casual dress code. Jackets are not required however, no hats, athletic wear, shorts or flip-flops are allowed. Reservations are held for 15 minutes.

Enjoy panoramic views of Los Angeles with this reservation for our 3 course prefix menu in our dining room. Booking this experience provides you and your guests with seating in our dining room. We do not guarantee window tables for any reason but will do our best to accommodate requests. No a la carte menu is available in the dining room and we kindly ask all guests to participate in our 3 course, $89.00 per person menu. Business casual dress code required. No sports wear, flip flops, shorts or ball caps allowed.

Service was terrible. Had a reservation and they forgot to seat us…when they did, they gave us a crappy table and wait staff again forgot about us for a while. The food was horrible…ribs were way too salty. Everything else was nothing to write home about. Only thing worthwhile was the view, but we didn’t get a window table so we didn’t get to enjoy that.

Experience exceptional with one exception. The host was filling in for a peer and the transition was not disclosed. We sat 20mins without drinks yet another host approached and assisted providing complimentary glass of wine ( that was a nice touch) while we waited for the drinks. Our main host approached the table sharing her identify after we expressed concern for the first host’s that experienced major sinus challenges. She then explained her peer was fine yet on the other side. 😯 Overall the hand was not well executed but we did truly enjoy and will return. Thank you

The food wasn’t good , tasted and smelled bad! Servers were rude and made us wait several hours to serve each course! Took forever to seat us or come to us! I had to ask 7 times for a diet drink before they could bring it to me! Really disappointed!

Arrived after USC graduation to an amazing sunset view of Downtown Los Ángeles. Service was impeccable and we could not have made a wrong choice with ANYTHING on the menu. I HIGHLY recommend the wine pairing as well as any of the cocktails 🍸! Would definitely recommend for a celebration 🍾 or a fancy date 🥰.

It’s my first time visiting 71above and it’s amazing. I was so happy when looking for a reservation I wasn’t finding the right one but I emailed the staff and I got what I was looking for. Took mom here to celebrate Mother’s Day and I I’m glad I did! Absolutely delicious dishes and great service! GM Alex and Manager Nelson were wonderful! They led the team with professionalism and sincerity. Looking forward to another visit.

Went to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and we had such an amazing experience. The staff and servers were so polite, friendly, helpful, and respectful. Ambiance was amazing and the view was incredible! We loved all dishes but were slightly disappointed with the main course. The meat was cooked excellent however we had greater expectations regarding the flavor, considering the price and how well the appetizers were. Overall, incredible experience. Definitely recommending to others and will probably go again in the future :)

The ambiance and service were the best parts of our experience. We were a party of three and unfortunately, no one was thrilled about their meal. For us, the food was just okay or slightly less than satisfactory. We were there for Mother’s Day and my brother and I took our mother. We both wished she’d enjoyed the food. The menu was fixed for the special occasion so I might try 71Above again to see if given a larger selection, I might enjoy the food more. I can’t say I would recommend this restaurant as I wasn’t satisfied with the food.

Took my mom to 71Above for mother's day and it was both our first time dining there. Service, food, and ambience/scenery was impeccable. We got there shortly before golden hour (aka as the sun sets) which made it even more beautiful. Definitely worth it in every sense of the word. Will definitely come again.
