We had a few surprises (free offer).
We know the price for food before showing up with is a plus and price for drinks is reasonable.
Service is great for us.
I made a reservation here for my husbands Bday dinner, he loved every little bit of it! The view was Amazing, food was beyond delicious! Service was excellent! Definitely will be returning here! Highly recommend! 👍🏻💕
71 Above is a wonderful dining space with fantastic view of Los Angeles. A very inventive menu excites your taste buds and a knowledgeable staff ensures your meal will be a memorable one!
Before dinner, we visited the bar for excellent, inventive drinks. The staff is very welcoming ensuring your experience a very warm one.
This is our second visit to 71 Above and each visit is better than the first.
We are looking forward to our next dining experience !
Great ambiance, great views, great food. Can't complain. Catered to us on our anniversary. Well worth it.
Our dinner experience was phenomenal! (We were celebrating our 25th Anniversary and 71Above was certainly special) The food was incredibly delicious--especially the oyster appetizer (we could easily have eaten a dozen!) and grilled octopus. Adding to the experience was the extremely charming service headed by Emily and her attentive team! Will definitely add 71Above to our list of Special Places to dine in LA.
amazing food, beautiful views all around, service was outstanding. Will definitely be back
From the ambiance to the food, the restaurant was absolutely amazing. The food was incredible, Japanes Wagyu just melts in your mouth. Romantic setting for intimate dinners and dinner dates with your significant other. Most definitely one of my favorite restaurants I've been to in LA county. We will be coming back very often.
I asked to have a window table because we celebrate a special n day, we ended sitting at the bar because window table in the restaurant was not available. It was not as I planed.😜
Great restaurant and even better view
Hard to get a window seat. Food was ok. Decor is high class
Best restaurant with amazing food and very professional courteous staff!
They were attentive and prompt! The food was top notch! Would definitely recommend and come back
The customer service from the manager Morhan ( whatever) his name is) and the African American hostess was terrible just like him. Sadly, as a manager, you should lead my example. Will not be returning there just because of these two people that need to go back to get some additional training with their poor customer service skills. I am a business owner and I would never allow any of my employees to treat the customers with such poor customer service and disrespect. I’ve been to this restaurant several times and never experience such terrible service like we did this past time. You just lost a good customer and will not refer my friends and family to this place. Thanks for ruining our special occasion!
Beutiful view. We felt like be in a movie...
For table, three item course menu for each person only. We were not much hungry, so that moved to bar area and had cocktail and appetizer. Menu, service, and atmosphere... we enjoyed.
The food was fantastic and the service was exceptional. For a unique experience with the added benefit of beautiful views check out 71 Above.
Not worth it, over priced and had a stomach ache after.
This is the best restaurant in Downtown for a business lunch. The service and food are excellent, and the setting is perfect for conversation.
My boyfriend and I celebrated his birthday here and it was by far the best experience for us both! Could not complain about a single thing! It was absolutely amazing in every way! Outstanding service, food and drinks! Simple amazing all around! You can not beat the views or the vibe! This entire place is just amazing! We loved every minute of it! Totally worth it all!
Everything was great; food, service and ambiance. Only thing that bugged me and my boyfriend was the seating. I told them three weeks in advance that I was going to be celebrating an anniversary with my boyfriend and asked if they could put us by a window. Instead of putting us by the window they put us right next to a family table. Not only did we not get a window seat, we didn’t even get the privacy of being seated away from a large party. Disappointed in the company’s planning.
The view was nice and the service was good. But the menu was limited and food didn't taste good with very small portions. For that price of $85 per person, we can get much better food at other high-end restaurants.
Outstanding...! The best restaurant in the city for sure.
My husband and I visited this restaurant for his birthday. The service was excellent and the food was really delicious! My husband had the farm egg, prawns, and New York Strip. I had the parsnip soup, chitarra, and roasted young chicken. I enjoyed the wine pairing.
The view was amazing! We would definitely be back and would highly recommend! Keep up the great work!
What a wonderful venue. Service was superb. The steak was perfect.
Wonderful service. We could of waited an extra hour for a window seat. Meal seems too expensive for what it is. You pay for the view and experience.
I didn't know for could be prepared to taste so delicious. Every course was the best food I've ever had. We enjoyed it more than lot!
I spent my anniversary here. It was my first wedding anniversary. The service was excellent. The food, I have tried better but service excellence matters. It was a prix fixe menu and they were options to have second courses of the first second and third options. For the first course, my husband had the egg dish which tasted exactly like filipino or spanish menudo. We also had the hamachi crudo which was the sane as a sashimi but VERY flavorful. For second course we had steak tartare and the Chitarra pasta. For the third he had new york strip steak and we thought that the New York strip steak which was served medium rare was pretty tough. I had the young chicken which was a bit tough too but delicious. Everything was served BEAUTIFULLY. the service is AMAZING. THEY EVEN GAVE US amuse bouche... champagne free for toasting and a free anniversary dessert. Plus 2 bread appetizers. We were sooooooooo full after.
Had a good experience. The best part is the view. This place offers an almost 360 view of downtown LA. They are strict with the dress code which is a plus. The service was superb. Everyone was nice and helpful. Food was a little above average. But not really “food was awesome I want to go back” kind of thing. It was fancy, yeah but it did not stand out. I have tasted better scallop, better steak, etc. The oysters were good though!!! Got disappointed with their desserts. It was such a random
Mixture of flavors that I really didn’t get to enjoy it. I do not like an orange flavor in my chocolate!
The setting, food, service, and view live up to expectations. The waiter was very helpful. He was actually better than the last waiter we had the last time I was here. I look forward to the next time...
The food was salty and the hostess neglected to seat my business guest with me, so that we each thought the other was running late for over 15 minutes. I think the restaurant is beautiful and the servers were great, but it is overpriced. Will not return for a meal but perhaps for drinks.
Food is very salty but it’s great view. I don’t think it’s valuables.
Great service , great food, great ambiance, great views. All around excellent place to dine.
Delicious food and great views
Horrible service no accommodations view was amazing that’s it
Was interested in a nice lunch and view.
Service and food were great. Love the ambiance. Great location to celebrate.
The main reason to go to 71 Above is the view. The view is simply spectacular. We waited an extra 30 minutes to get a window table and it was worth it. We came at night and it is magical. The menu is confusing and uses endless terms that most people would not understand. The food was interesting but not particularly memorable. It is a fixed price three-course dinner. I had scallops for my entrée. I felt two scallops was awfully skimpy given the price. It is essentially an expense account restaurant. The service was impeccable but I would have trouble justifying the price and going back.
There was a fire drill while dinner and everyone got scared I guess
