Service was awesome. Chef gave complimentary amuse bouché and Prosecco. Everyone at the table loved the dishes they had. View is always amazing. Thank you to the staff again for their excellent service.
Everything was great until course #3. Neither of us were happy. My pork was dry and barely edible. His scallops were lovely, but the accompaniments not so much. Overall I'd go back, sit at the bar, enjoy the view and order from the bar menu.
Highly recommend this place.
I just love this place. From now on, every Friday, this is my treat to myself. To get a fantastic meal like this, in a fantastic place like this, at a fantastic price like this, it can't be beat. The views alone are worth the money. And special shout out to Kelsey! OMG, her sweetness and professionalism earned her quite a tip. She handled our office farewell in the spur of the moment, a 14 person ordering frenzy, and she did it with such style and grace, it made the send-off that much more enjoyable. Well done my friends! Oh, the steak was excellent, and even the burger was a treat! So light and tasty, and the fries are perfection!
Good but so arrogant that we were “encouraged” to leave our window table to make way for the next couple. Oh and there was an eggshell fragment in my date’s farm egg dish.
71Above never fails to impress.
Was an amazing night. Will be back.
You pay for the view. However not always will they accommodate you to a nice view and might not even be worth it.
Spring three course meal was great, up to my third selection. Salmón was undercook twice. Amazing drinks
Chef Javi and his crew are some of the best in LA
One goes there for the view, from the 71st floor, it is indeed special although the smog makes it relatively short during the day, a bit further during the night. The food is excellent, refined and inventive. The cocktails are also very creative like it is now fashionable in trendy spots. I had my lunch at the bar and the waiter was very nice and competent.
I really like this place and have to come again and again when I am in L.A. The music is a bit too loud for a business meeting, but if you are alone and don't need to talk much, that is a perfect place.
From start to finish an excellent experience.
Great place to celebrate with a loved one - with such a great view on a clear day!
The view was spectacular but the food was just Ho hum and not really worth the price you pay for.
Wonderful food and service!
We got engaged last night and all the staff treated us like Royalty!!
Exceptional service. Breathtaking views. Tasty, delicious food. Come early as a couple (6p reservations or earlier) if you want to sit by window. Ambiance was spectacular.
It was my first time here and it was quite enjoyable. Food and ambiance was excellent. However, we had to wait an hour to get a table by a window that I requested in my reservation.
Amazing LA view. But overpriced. Hostess not flexible about table request.
The service matched the amazing view. The food was on-point but the star was our Sommelier Alex who navigated us through the meal with his fantastic wine pairings! Definately a special occasion venue.
Didn’t get the set up I requested for my wife’s birthday, disappointing.
The view and ambience are the highlights of this restaurant. The food, on the other hand, is nothing to write home about. The presentation of the food is nice, however, the ingredients and flavor are mediocre. Nice place to experience just once. The overall value wasn't worth a return visit.
Great restaurant for first date or drinks. The view is amazing.
Stunning view and ambiance. Food solid execution although portions size at tad small (at least brunch was). Take your out of town guests to impress with sweeping views/decor or perhaps that someone special for a romantic date night.
Great place to e as t
Yes...with extreme reservations. The view was, of course, exceptional. The food was good. The service was poor. They force an 18% service fee/tip on your bill and then don't serve you. They forgot our drinks and disappeared for long periods of time. The guy at the front desk host station was pretty rude as well. They didn't even allow us to be seated until our whole party arrived which made us miss our sunset view. They said everyone had to order at the same time, which I understand being a pre-fixe menu, but they could let you sit at your table that has the view at least and order drinks. The way the place is run is just a very bad system overall. I don't think we'll be going back.
Spectacular! Food was small but exquisite, service was first rate, and the view as night set in was awesome!
A little pricey vis-a-vis portions but overall it was a good experience.
Wonderful venue with exceptional food and a perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion. We had a terrific anniversary dinner and could actually hear each other while tasting the amazing farm egg and chorizo appetizer, exceptional hamachi, Waygu beef, pork loin and vegetarian special all pleased. Lots of options for each of three course in price fixed dinner that at $78 is worth it. Supplementals are pricy, however.
Service is way below the value, food was ok, salty over.
The only good thing about this place is the view but with the price you pay, there is many other much better place with better service you can go, will not recommend this place, and will not go again.
The view, the view the VIEW..food was excellent also Ha Ha. But really, if your on the private side for a romantic evening it’s awesome but on the bar side is for the LA scene. Service was top notch also.
When I called in before arriving to the restaurant I was promised a window for my anniversary dinner. When I arrived I was seated next to a couple that took the window. Service was horrible and the person that brought the bill at the end was the cherry on top very rude. My tea was never brought to the table, food was not good for what I paid for 300.00, and service was very poor. I honestly felt like I should of got a refund for the horrible service, food that day. Or at least promised a better meal. I’ve been to this restaurant twice and always was Seated by the window and food and service was way better.
Service was amazing! The waiters to time to explain the menus and every dish. 3 course meal selections were fantastic. Courses are served just perfect and we never felt rushed. Got to enjoy the views of LA with great service.
Came here to see the view, food was amazing! Looks little but by the end of it we couldn’t finish our late dish! Already booked a second dinner back.
I visited 71Above to celebrate a friend’s promotion. The ambiance and view are amazing. I just wish it was a clearer LA DAY. The food was delicious and the service - awesome. Our server Bulmaro (I hope I spelled it correctly) kindly described every dish on the menu delectably causing me to want several meal choices. It's the perfect reason to return.
One of the most beautiful rooms in Los Angeles with spectacular views from the 71st floor and excellent food! Chef Javier Lopez is doing a great job after taking over the helm from Chef Vartan Abgaryan.
I had my dear friends in from New York, they loved everything about there evening at this restaurant. Thanks to all The Who made it special.
Fabulous and innovative food. Everything was delicious. The service was attentive, helpful and top-notch. The views are incredible. Just amazing. The wines are excellent and different. Absolutely wonderful restaurant.
