7 Central Public House, located in the picturesque seacoast village of Manchester-by-the-Sea, has served the public for the past 5 decades, as a place for food, spirits and entertainment.
The restaurant features a comfortable 30 person pub which is the gathering place for most everyone from our little town. Place you'll see Fisherman and Masons along side Business Executives and Blue Bloods. A ten person Irish styled bar with 18 craft beers on draughts, creative cocktails & wine flights are something everyone needs to try. A roaring fire keeps this room toasty in the winter months and the large windows that look out upon the Town Common with a view that is classic New England. Our Pub features Live Music Friday & Saturday evenings and fun entertainment like Stump Trivia and Bingo week nights.

From a formal sit down dinner with Prime Rib and Locally caught Seafood & Lobster down to Pizza Parties we are happy to have your group at 7 Central. Private party facilities
7 Central hosts over 100 events each year. From Private Birthday Parties, Baby and Bridal Shower, Celebration of Life Gatherings, Holiday Party, Fundraisers and Charitable events. We use the entire restaurant for private events and have host events on the outdoor deck, main dining room, our second floor function room and our 16 person private dining room and Pub. Parking is never an issue here. In addition to street parking outside our restaurant on Central Street, there is a Free Public Lot directly across the street from us behind our Town Hall.

7 Central is located a mere two minute walk from the Manchester Commuter Train line which also services Singing Beach the crown jewel of Manchester. Along the way you'll pass unique shops and historic buildings. Those arriving by boat can tie up at our town dock at which is a 150 yards from our restaurant.

Love the food and ambience at 7 Central. However, we have never had worse service. She was very rude when we asked for separate checks. She even said she thought it was hard and not something she wanted to do. It was appalling. Having been a waitress I know that it’s hard work. But being blatently mean to customers is not acceptable. Find a new career

Although I had a good experience in the past, this trip to 7 Central was horrible. The waitress forgot to pou in our appetizer order. Dinner came out and she said 'sorry, if you still want them, I can get them quickly'. A few of us said ok, thinking there'd be complimentary anyway (they weren't). But that was just the beginning. Ordered Rare, medium, well.... roast beef was all medium well. Potatoes and veggies orders were all mixed up. Waitress didn't seem to know what the specials were. Had to order coffee twice. We ordered several desserts, only to find our that they had none left.... and that was only 7:30pm on a Saturday. In short, dinner was a fiasco. Granted, we're we're a table of 9, but don't take the reservation of you can't handle the job. And, it was my birthday dinner, so it was especially annoying. Both the waitress and kitchen dropped the ball that night.

I have gone to 7 central many times for dinner and it has been great. Food and service very good. This last visit was for Sunday brunch. Food was just ok. Not much choice and it certainly could have been warmer. I don't think I will be back for Sunday brunch unless they make some big changes. However I will continue to go back for dinner and music as it has always been good. Staff are always pleasant and efficient and it is an enjoyable time always for dinner. If the management see this review please think about changing the sunday brunch to either individual items as opposed to the buffet. Or really up the ante on the brunch with more choice and warmer food. We were one of the first groups at 11:30 for brunch but the food was really just warm.

Food was bland. The waitress seemed to be anxious to have us leave- continually clearing plates and silverware just as we would finish something, asking can I get you something else?

Went here to have special lunch with College son on his bday. Realize now it was not prime time and as such was seated in pub area. Food was delicious, staff gracious and attentive and all enjoyed but I was hoping for more of ambiance than tables near bar. Will def be back and hope to sit in prettier side of restaurant.

We all had the Sunday brunch which was very good, overall. The pancakes were too thin and became crispy at the edges so that is something that could definitely be improved. However, we loved the space and its decor. Also really enjoyed the difference between the rooms and how sunny the whole place is. Service was great too. Would love to go back and order off the menu!

We learned from our waitress that the kitchen staff and management turned over the morning we were there. The result was not good. The waitress was disoriented and out of it. The lobster pie was bland, the prime rib over cooked and bland. I loved the decor and hope they can get their act together though we wont go back for awhile until they have practiced their service.

Best clam chowder I've had in years! Nothing "skimpy" about their shrimp "scampi!" Good drinks; attentive waitstaff. Couldn't stay for the later "live entertainment," but it's nice to have the entertainment option.
