We booked our table drove all the way to East Nashville & the restaurant was closed. We heard nothing from the restaurant before or after we booked.
Tried out 615 Chutney for my husband’s birthday as we are both big fans of Indian food. This whole place is a gem of a find; wonderful decor, food and service!
And the decor - quirky, beautiful and atmospheric.
We took friends from India with us. They were delighted in the quality and care the chef put into his creations! We all absolutely loved the authentic food and the incredible service the lovely waitress, Que, provided! We will return!!!
We had a great evening at 615Chutney. The food was excellent. We tried so many new Indian dishes. So tasty. You can get from mild to very spicy. We talked to the owner and heard the history of the restaurant. The service was excellent. Everyone was so friendly and gracious. We felt like we got to know the restaurant, its history, and the people that serve the restaurant. They also have a great outdoor venue with firepits that will be great in the spring, summer and fall. We will definitely go back and bring our family. We love getting to know local merchants and hear their story. A wonderful experience.
The best Indian food in Nashville
The food was amazing. I’m Trinidadian and I know good Indian food. Best outside of homemade. Fresh and cooked with love
My new go to place for amazing Indian cuisine. Everything we had there was excellent. The only recommendation would be to obtain a liquor license. Regardless, the draft IPLs are wonderful.
Very good authentic Indian food
Phenomenal food! This place delivered authentic South Indian food, which blew me away because I have been waiting to taste home food here in Nashville for 5 years!
Great place!! Que was a wonderful waitress. Met the owner - wonderful. Will go again!!!
Food was fantastic and the customer service was outstanding. My wife and I will definitely make this a regular stop!
Great place - wonderful ambiance
I could do without the mask wearing though
I suppose the virus knows when it’s time to eat?
amazing as usual if you have not been here please go
Excellent food and courteous service. The interior temperature was a bit cold and all customers wore their coats...
If the restaurant makes it thru this winter, they should have a good spring and summer as they have lots of nice outdoor dining available.
The only thing we didn't like was the requirement to order thru their QR code.
Nobody needs more passwords to remember and the vendor's site required credit card info.. That's a no-no! Fortunately they did have menu's though the specials were only on-line.
Perhaps a portable specials black-board would be nice for those of us who don't like handing our cc info to websites we don't know.
I suggest they invest in inexpensive 'printed' disposable paper menus if they don't want to sanitize their current plastic-coated menus. Had they not had menus, we would have walked.
Everything was amazing from start to finish went with the owners recommendations and was not sorry
Chef was amazing and came out personally to our table. Very welcoming and great ambience with the fires and outdoor lighting.
Outstanding food, service and ambience...felt very safe in their open dining area and with their COVID-19 protocols. The food was authentic and very tasty. Would go there again and again.
Amazing food and staff! The assortment of different bread options was mind blowing so I ordered a lot. The Mint Chutney was incredible. Do yourself a favor and go often
Food was excellent. A bit of a language issue with waitress but we managed. Sorry they were so empty but we were there at an off time. Best wishes!
615 Chutney has the absolute best Indian in Nashville and probably in the entire state. Service is always amazing and the menu is updated often.
This is a much needed Indian establishment in East Nashville. Since they originally started as a food truck, it's obvious that they are still working out the kinks of running an actually dining room. We made a reservation, but immediately noticed that the staff was in a frenzy to keep up with walk-ups, and they weren't even paying attention the reservation system. Also, they had hosted a large group earlier in the week, and the bar was out of nearly everything except for a couple of bottles of wine.
HOWEVER.
The food was absolutely phenomenal! Hands down one of the best Indian meals I've had in Nashville. Just the right amount of heat, and the sauces were perfectly spiced. My lamb was nice and tender. The hot chai tea came with these delicious house-made cookies which made for a nice dessert. Also, the chef came out and checked on us, and was genuinely interested in what we thought of our meal. I really REALLY want 615Chutney to succeed in this building/location. They do a lunch buffet, which I assume runs much smoother, so if they can adjust their evening dinner service experience, they will have one of the best Indian restaurants Nashville has ever seen.
Delicious!!!
This restaurant tried very hard to ruin our Valentines date. Terrible service and mediocre food. The tables around us were miserable. One couple got up and left. My husband and I decided to focus on each other and not let the bad experience bring us down. I had planed the evening myself and was very embarrassed to have chosen this restaurant.
Honestly the best Indian food in Nashville, it's so different than other places and everyone who works there is really nice!
High end Indian food that has better quality then Chaatable and better prices then Chauhan Ale & Masala House. Hidden gem that needs not be so hidden.
615Chutney is amazing! From the food to the service and the awesome staff!
Highly enjoyed the vibe here! Got to try new food (dosa) and beer (woodpecker)! Great service!!
Awesome South Indian cuisine and amazing staff. Highly recommend!
A delicious introduction to southern Indian cuisine. The dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. This restaurant is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine and wishes to experience Indian food from a part of India not commonly found in Indian restaurants in Nashville.
Lovely staff and food. Delicious!
Food was excellent and service was very attentive. We’re looking forward to going back.
I deeply enjoy 615 Chutney!
The Chutneyville Special Salmon entree is one of the best preparations of salmon I have ever enjoyed. Wrapped in banana leaf. Smothered in curry.
The Dahi Paneer Ke Kebab is slightly fried paneer with mint sauce.
The spicy sauce on the Chutney’s 615 with paneer made my lips tingle with the perfect amount of spice and flavour.
The staff is always extremely friendly. The manager takes his time to visit each table, answering questions and sharing joy.
I am just so happy the eastside has an Indian spot now!
An authentic experience, clearly a mark above similar restaurants. The food and presentation could not have been improved upon. Will definitely return.
Fabulous Indian food. Not your usual choices. Inventive and very good. Wonderful friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
We impulsively took a reservation for a Friday night at 615Chutney. We were extremely pleased with our decision. I frequented Rumours East wine bar before it became 615 Chutney, so I was glad that someone with such a great attitude and love of the location was able to take it over. Niroop Prabhakar has really done a great job making the restaurant very welcoming. The decorations are minimal and the restaurant is less intimate then Rumours, but the restaurant has taken on it's own persona. Bright lights and the beat of ethnic music created a fun upbeat experience.
We started with the Frankies 615 and the Dahi Paneer Ke Kebab. We had shrimp for the protein in the Frankie's 615. The sauce was delicious and the veggies were perfectly cooked. My only compliant is there was not enough sauce! :) The waiter explained that all the spices are made in house and imported from India so they have a very authentic flavor. The Dahi Paneer Ke Kebab was delicious and had a good kick of the spice (definitely NOT for people that do not enjoy spicy foods).
The main entrees we ordered included the Chutneyville Special Salmon and Bendakaya Pulusu. The salmon was extremely tender and flavorful, and came wrapped in a banana leaf. The okra in the Bendakaya Pulusu was also amazing, and the sauce was thick and not overly spicy.
Niroop was extremely friendly and explained that each dish is influenced from specific regions of India. He told us a bit of history, and what inspires him to create. It was nice to see an owner so involved with the creation of the food and the customers that frequent it.
Overall, it was a very fulfilling dinner, for my stomach and my soul.
Highly recommend 615Chutney!
